Super sketchy. When I initially called to find out if they took my insurance, I said "do you take united dental insurance?" and the woman said yes. Then I got the first bill back from my insurance which said they weren't in my network, so I called the office back and asked what was going on. They told me they submit all insurance, but aren't in the united network, and had I asked if they were in the united network they'd have said no. Are you kidding me? Starting off a relationship like this with a lie is not cool, suggesting that it wasn't a lie but it was the customer who asked the wrong question is just shitty. Trying to sell that customer on $15k more treatments than he needs is a grift. read more

I would like to say that I think stoner periodontics did a horrible Job. Every time I went in for a checkup I saw one of there little minions not the doctor. I was supposed to remember everything she said and barely saw her. When I told them I think I have a healing problem and my first skins graphs smelled like rotting skin I went in to one of there minions not doctor ferriol and they took pics and that was all when they knew it wasn't right. I had skin graphs and bone graphs done 2 times they pulled one of my teeth to put implant in and instead of checking to see if the bone had developed again I had surgery again only to find that the bone never regrew and the implant just fell out. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. All u cared about was 20,000 dollars. And Dr. Ferriol u have a horrible bedside manner. We reached out to Dr. Stoner's office for a consult regarding a tongue tie on our newborn daughter that was pointed out to us at a pediatrician appointment. They were able to see us the next day after we called! We waited in the car until our appointment to maintain social distancing. Our temperatures were taken and we were asked about any symptoms. Everyone was masked appropriately. Once inside the office, we were placed in a separate room with a glass door - we felt very safe and protected. Dr. Stoner walked us through his assessment and the procedure and was done in less than 5 minutes! Our daughter is now able to latch much better, and is feeding and gaining weight perfectly. I highly recommend Stoner Periodontics if you're the parent of a newborn who's not breastfeeding well! read more

Dr.Stoner and his team did a great job! I was very nervous about the procedure and they took the time to answer all my questions, I never felt rushed, they walked me through everything that would happen that day and really put me at ease. Dr.Stoner also works with a awesome anesthesiologist, who called me before the procedure to answer any questions that I may have. Dr.Stoner and the anesthesiologist both called to check on me and a few days later another member of the team called again to make sure I was doing well. WOW!! I would highly recommend this office to anyone I cannot say enough about the great experience I had. Nowadays a lot of offices make you feel like a number and leave 5 minutes after seeing you, but I was very impressed that they took as much time as i needed to feel comfortable and all questions were answered. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Stoner for around 10 years. I needed 4 bone grafts because I had my wisdom teeth removed so late in my life the bone never grew back. I also needed periodontal laser treatment. The grafts and the treatment were successful and I have had very few problems since the initial procedure. I had to have one laser touch-up and about a year ago had one of my molars checked when there was some pain. The staff is always pleasant and knowledgeable. read more

I initially went to this practice for a noticeable recession on 1 lower tooth. During the consultation, it was recommended that I have 11 graft procedures. The cost was $10,000, out of pocket, because my dental insurance was new. At the end of the procedure, without my consent, 2 of my upper right teeth were filed down to prevent the teeth from hitting the lower teeth and causing failure of the grafts. This left an uneven appearance of my upper teeth. After the 1st procedure, the graft on the 4 bottom lower teeth failed. This included the 1 tooth that I made the initial visit to address. Rather than do an additional graft, existing gum tissue was pulled up to cover the recession on the 4 teeth. I returned before the scheduled follow up appointment because some of the sutures failed. They determined that it wasn't an issue and I was to return on my scheduled follow up visit. At that visit, it was obvious to me that the gum tissue was not staying where it was intended. I was told that everything was fine and that no further appointments were necessary. Today, the tooth that triggered the original visit is receded back to where it started, plus the other 3 teeth on the bottom center, which weren't a problem in the beginning, have noticeable recession and my gum tissue has a very uneven appearance. In addition, my upper right teeth have an uneven appearance due to being filed down incorrectly. Bottom line, very poor results and worse off than where I started, and out $10,000! read more

The worst experience EVER - congrats to them! Started off by being informed that my insurance should cover a fair amount of the procedures they proposed (total was 8-10K). HUGE lie.....read on. Saw Dr. Murphy and had first phase done (extractions). Had problems after the surgery and Dr. and office was less than helpful. Then billed well over $1,500 for 2 extractions and was told I had to run it thru my insurance for reimbursement (never told that during the financial consult). Insurance reimbursed a total of $90 - wasn't worth filling the claim. Back for stage 2 (bone grafting for implants). Paid another enormous bill - submitted to insurance and was told they didn't cover this procedure. Nice, there goes another $3K - thank you "less-than-truthful" billing lady. Back months later for follow up to check on bone graft. Dr. Murphy doesn't have time to see me so a physician asst comes in - reviews xrays/scans and tells me that the graft doesn't look good.....WHAT!! $3K wasted!?!? Demand to see the doc and told he'll have to call us.....he's busy with other suckers er I mean patients. Never does call, so I call and he finally gets on the phone. Says he reviewed the scan and everything is fine, the asst shouldn't have told us what she did (now wondering who is telling the truth). My orthodontist and dentist both call several times for Murphy to express concerns about the graft....no return calls. Orthodontist then wants a certain procedure done as well and calls again and leaves a detailed message for Murphy. Schedule to see Murphy and asked first if he got the message and understands what the orthodontist wants done - am assured by the receptionist that she'll make sure he knows and he'll clarify with orthodontist before I come in if he has any concerns. Appt day and I arrive only to be told by Dr. Murphy that he has no idea what procedure I'm talking about - he's never talked to the orthodontist let alone even seen the message she left!! Absolutely unbelievable. He does get the orthodontist on the phone and then tells me we'll have to reschedule for another time, doesn't have time to do it. Get the procedure done 2 weeks later for another $500. Few more months pass and now it's finally time for the implants (and been keeping my fingers crossed that the grafts worked cuz still not convinced who to believe). Call to make appt with Dr. Murphy for implants and guess what.....................are you ready for this............ HE DOESN'T WORK THERE ANYMORE!!!! Are you f'ing kidding me???? When did this happen? "Oh, a month or two ago, he left the practice". Did it ever dawn on you brain surgeons to contact his patients and let them know??? "Oh, well, Dr. Stoner could see you in a few weeks instead". I'll pass - I have had it with this entire office. Staff lies. Dr. lies. It's the worst medical ordeal I've ever encountered and I've told EVERYONE to seek treatment elsewhere. Only silver lining here is Stoner's office does have pretty good cookies you can munch on (if they don't screw up the procedure and you can eat) and I got to meet Dr. Rob Heller who did an AMAZING job with my implants - he truly is one of the best and I wish I had gone there to begin with. Thank you Dr. Stoner and all of his staff! I had been dealing with a front tooth for over 20 years that needed an implant. I have had several procedures to deal with this darn tooth! - After meeting with Dr. Stoner, he explained why an implant would help me end all the years of shenanigans I had going on with loose crowns or always worrying that my tooth would fall out. - I was extremely hesitant to follow through with the surgery because I REALLY did not want to manage through the process of healing. There is a couple month period where you have to let the bone heal and need to wear a fake tooth on a little plastic device that is very similar to Invisalign. - I am SO HAPPY that I have gone through this process! The fake tooth is NO BIG DEAL. I thought it would be very difficult in social situations, but no one notices at all. - Everyone in the office was amazing, the front desk staff, the billing people (they helped me secure partial payment from my insurance company), the anesthesiologist and all the surgical assistants. - I really appreciate that Dr. Stoner understood my hesitation and did not make me feel silly for what I felt were concerns about the cosmetic appearance. I would highly recommend Dr. Stoner! - Bonus- Their office has great coffee and is a realxed environment. read more

Dr. Stoner himself is a very kind man and very competent doctor and his office is absolutely gorgeous. However his front desk ladies were so rude, I paid for a $200 consultation and am scheduled for another one elsewhere solely because they were so nasty and judgemental. I am younger and don't have the best insurance and had to make a lot of calls with my dental and medical in order to make this surgery happen. I understand I was in their waiting room doing this and why it would be annoying, but I was not loitering in a bar during closing time it was 5 hours before they closed and I was trying to arrange a medical procedure I was just told at that office I needed. They told me I shouldn't have even come if I am "not of financial means" so pretty much I was told no poor people allowed, despite the fact my insurance would cover it I just didn't have the 5 grand to put down immediately. They joked about my attire to other patients when they thought I was in the other room but I was around the corner. A complete stranger apologized for their behavior. Again I guess I was to poor for them with my "sale rack target clothes" and "government phone" they claimed I had, you know my 600 dollar Droid galaxy I bought with a work bonus. They were both middle aged with short hair one with brown hair and one blonde with glasses. They were absolutely awful, this was a couple months ago so hopefully they are long gone but unless your wealthy enough to drop 5 grand that day and are wearing dior to the doctors office to appease the secretary, this may not be the place for you. read more

I felt free to ask questions and he took very good care of me. The technicians were also very attentive and I barely felt the shots they gave me. Let's be honest, there isn't anything pleasant about having periodonic disease and needing multiple extractions. I knew that dental insurance wasn't going to pay for very much, but this has turned into what I call my million dollar mouth. You do get the financial information up front, and they offer CareCredit, which has a 12 months same as cash plan, which I opted to use for the 50% down payment in order to schedule the procedure, if not paid in full converts to a 24% interest rate. I added the second half to the card, and was making payments way above the minimum to pay off the "same as cash" portion, however they never apply the over payment to that portion of the bill, but to the lower interest part. Than BAMB, a years worth of interest is applied and you still cannot pay off the high interest portion of the bill, what a racket. The first surgery I opted for deep sedation, surgery went well. Though they showed me what was going to be extracted, I did not realize until I woke up that I was left with no molars that touched; oh well, my family physician has been telling me for years to loose weight. Everyone in the office is very pleasant and the seem to really want to make sure you are comfortable. You come back for cleaning and rechecks every 3 months for a year before they will discuss the implants. Always a pleasant experience with the staff. So I come in for my appointment to discuss implants only to discover that my physician had left the practice 9 months ago. I had developed a relationship with the staff, and you only see the physician for the surgery, so should I go forward, or go to the physician I had previously seen? I decided to move forward, because the people who are actually taking care of you are the staff, not the physician. Implants are $4,000 a pop, but I want to be able to eat prime rib again so here we go. The back upper molar that became orphaned from the previous extractions cannot be saved, so another extraction as well as deciding how many implants. I'm too far in to opt for dentures now, and I've invested too much money to not go forward. 3 lower jaw implants will allow me to chew again and give me a reasonable ROI (ROI needed to be considered as I'm in my 60's). Second surgery went well, I wanted light sedation as I don't like not being aware of what is going on.....much better. Again everyone is very pleasant and seem caring. Now I have 3 plastic caps in my lower jaw, and am ready to go back to my regular dentist for the crowns and thousands more dollars. Would I do this again, yes probably would, but I would never use CareCredit again. I did lose some weight. Everyone was caring and kind, and having the peridontial disease cured has left me healthier. read more

I was recommended to this office by my daughter's orthodontist - huge mistake!!!! First, this office racks you just to walk through the door for a consultation. (I eventually switched to a much better office - we love Dr. Hinkel - and they didn't charge us to walk through the door). The office is absolutely beautiful; maybe that's where the consultation fee goes??? After our consultation, we checked back when our orthodontist said that it was time for the pre-implant surgery. All that happened was that I got jacked around. No one returned calls, no one called my daughter's orthodontist. I kept calling both Stoner's office and the orthodontist, and no one seemed to know anything. I don't think Stoner's office ever called, so I finally gave up. The new oral surgeon's office was amazing - caring to my daughter, answered calls promptly, addressed questions promptly, friendly staff. This second office was a much better choice. But here's the kicker ... over a year later Stoner's office calls me to follow up with when we will do the surgery? Are you kidding me???? read more
