Service - Tiffany is your girl if you want a mean pedicure that will last for weeks, even with just normal nail paint~ There's one other girl who gives a good pedicure but I don't have her name for you. She's also your girl if you want a mean gel manicure. They aren't chatty at all. But very polite when they do speak. Which is good, because my other goal is to enjoy some quiet time. Hygiene - This place is immaculately clean. Tools used are sterilized. They could use new massaging spa chairs because the current ones hurt my back like crazy. Covenient location (even though parking sucks in the lot sometimes) BUT this is by far the best salon I have ever been to in the East Bay and South Bay combined. First off, the prices are very fair and I believe the cheapest in the area. $25 for shellac?Sold. I have paid up to $40 in the South Bay. If you are into wild designs or 3D art, they do that as well but i haven't tried it out here and stopped doing that a couple years ago so I can't vouch for it. It doesn't seem that people come here for the design specialties, but that's not a big deal to me. Second, all of the employees pay attention to what you would like done and ask questions to reassure. I always hated going to salons, they ask what color you want and that's it. Third, this salon used to be run by someone else and went through multiple owners through out the years but I believe the current owners are here to stay with their attention to detail. I honestly rarely write reviews but I just had to for this place. I recently moved to the Peninsula and am genuinely upset that I won't be able to go there as often. After reading the reviews on yelp, I decided to give this salon a try and was very happy to see all the reviews matched. The salon is very clean, bright, organized, and had the best selection (and organization) of polishes that I've seen in a while. The women are very friendly and I only waited a few minutes before sitting down for a mani/pedi ($30). The only reason why I didn't provide 5 stars wasn't related to the mani/pedi, but when I was ready to pay. I offered my credit card and the woman taking the payment asked if I had cash. To which I replied I did not and that I did not see anything online or posted about not taking credit cards, and had seen other clients pay with credit as well. She asked me several times after which was a bit frustrating because A) I couldn't change my answer and B)there were other customers that had started to look up and I didn't appreciate the unneeded attention over a cash tip versus a credit card tip. I let her know that I'd be sure to bring some on my next visit, and asked her to include the tip in my credit payment, but honestly it made me feel a little embarassed.. However, the credit card note example above was only a two minute snippit of an hour long positive experience. They did a great job on my nails and toes, I didn't need anything fancy but from the looks of samples and other customers, there are some talented nail artists there. The chairs were very comfortable, and I felt really pampered, and it was probably the best manicure I'd ever received. Definitely will NOT go back here. Had appointments at 1pm - arrived 5 minutes early and was ignored for 20 minutes. When we finally walked up and interrupted someone's service to ask when we could sit down for our appointment, we were told to sit down in the lobby area and wait. Needless to say, we left and went straight to their competition. JC NAILS IN PLEASANTON took us right away. We drove straight here and it was the BEST first time experience! They have a bar, an actual, adorable bar that you sit at to get your service. The employees are beyond kind and extremely attentive not to mention the salon was beautiful and very upscale. I went here for the first time today and i must say i am very pleased! I had been going to Number One Nails (down the street about 5 mins) until recently as tcomheir service was just unacceptable so i decided to try out stoneridge nails. Not only did the lady finish up my nails within 45 mins (works perfectly since i was on my lunch break) but they are the perfect square shape and she literally took her time apply the nail polish. She actually probably spent more time on the polish itself lol but that's totally fine with me. The cost was $20 for an acrylic fill which is the average price. I will definitely be coming back! Not to mention although they only have about 4 pedicure and 4 manicure stations they are very clean and their lounge seats are super cute and stylish! read more

I came here for a pedicure and received a very rough treatment with blood on the side. I didn't get her name but the manicurist managed to scrape off a huge piece of skin at my ankle. Yes I would like dead skin removed at the heels but not my ankles! She then said I have "thin skin." If you would pay attention to what you're doing and stop rushing, then this would not be a problem! This was close to my house and had 4 stars but don't expect me to come here again. Was shopping in the area and happened upon this place. $20 for a solid, good looking regular pedicure. Nothing fancy, but I didn't need anything fancy. My nail tech was polite and quiet. There were multi colored led lights in the basin of the spa pedicure seats so my feet enjoyed a free mini disco. BRING CASH. It's not posted anywhere, but you'll catch on fast that they'd reeeeally prefer you to pay with cash. They can't or won't add tips on credit cards so keep that in mind. read more

I just moved here and needed a fill. I had my regular nail lady for over 20 years. Needless to say I am skeptical and wasn't expecting much. However I made an appointment and was taken as soon as I arrived. It had been 3 weeks since my last fill. She said my last girl did a great job. I hoped she could repeat the process. Even with the drill she had a soft touch. No nicks, cuts or burns. She did a excellent job. Followed the shape and cut them down. Followed by flawless polish I am impressed. I booked her for another 3 weeks. I found my new nail lady. The shop is small and clean. My lady didn't chat much but I could care less just keep doing my nails great. Price was great too. Tips are cash again no concern to me I love the job and happy to pay. I look forward to my next visit for my full and pedicure. I recommend this place highly. read more

I moved here to Pleasanton in October of last year. I wanted to find a nail salon close to our new house. I yelped and the reviews looked good here. I walked on over and saw Jenny for a mani/pedi. Since then I have pretty much been to everyone and they are all amazing in their own way. I love it here! This is my absolute favorite place. I honestly haven't ever had a better mani or pedi. For one, they take their time and are very efficient. They give great messages too and that is very important to me considering I am a hairstylist and stand all day. Being in the service industry I myself am very picky. I expect the best and you defiantly get it here. I strayed about a week ago to another nail salon in Pleasanton thats pretty well known and pricey. I walked out beyond disappointed. Today I had to go into Stoneridge Nails to have them remove what the other place had done. They made them all gorgeous and ready for Easter. I will never do that ago. Love this place!! They all do great work and they're very nice people. I typically just walk in and they seat me right away (or at least within a couple minutes). They have a good selection of nail polishes and gel polishes, but it's always a good idea to bring your own if possible. The price is fantastic for the quality of work they provide. I've never had a bad experience here, and I don't see that chanting anytime soon. Thanks for always making my nails look great!! Keep up the good work, y'all!!! The only downfall...the parking lot is shared with Trader Joe's which is a complete disaster. I tried out this place for the first time today and I really liked it. Nice selection of OPI and Essie nail polish in a wide range of colors. I liked that 99% of the nail polish bottles looked new and not half empty and dried out. Inexpensive, quick and clean. Polite nail techs that were not trying to engage you in a conversation while you are enjoying your pedicure. I received the Deluxe Spa Pedicure for $35 and I was very happy with the long massage, sugar scrub and paraffin dip. I am absolutely planning on coming back! read more

I've been here many times over the past two years. I've usually had a just fine experience. I like that they don't try to make small talk or up sell. However, I've had a couple bad experiences too. I almost always get a deluxe pedicure and a regular manicure, and I always get a design on my toes. A few times ago, the guy who was doing my Deluxe pedicure had no idea what he was doing. I don't know what it was that he put on my legs, but it stung and gave me a terrible, painful rash afterwards. The other girls were telling him constantly, "no you're not doing it right." I didn't really appreciate being his guinea pig and being charged full price for it. Today I got most of the way through the deluxe pedicure, to the point where I had paraffin on my feet and a hot towel wrapped around my legs. At that point, the girl switched over to doing my manicure. It was 58 degrees out, and the front door was wide open. By the time the manicure was over, my legs were freezing with a very cold wet towel on them. Because I was so cold, I tried to gently pull my sleeves down, and messed up a few of my nails. On the up side, she hid her irritation fairly well, and did redo those three nails. On the down side, I was so distracted, I forgot to mention that I wanted a design until she'd already put a top coat on my toes. When I did mention it, it was clearly too late, and she chose to move on to the next customer. Unfortunately, solid purple looks pretty bad on me. I guess I'll go get my toes redone somewhere else. read more

Gave this place a try, twice. Prices are NOT competitive. They rush their work and will still take walk-ins when its very busy. 1st visit - Gel manicure: started peeling within a week. Shaping was crooked and slanted. Pedicure: Extremely rushed, shaping was awful. Super crooked, very apparent, polish job was sloppy and done with a heavy hand, too thick. 2nd visit - Manicure: I asked for square and she proceeded to cut the side of my nails at an angle, almost like a coffin shape. My nails were too short to fix it. I stopped the manicure there. Pedicure: Cuticles and nail were not cleaned well, 15 minute pedicure. Will not be going back. read more

I go here all of the time and I'll tell you, if you go anywhere else you are crazy!! The ladies here or so nice, they work hard, and most of all they do a great job! I always get french tip shellac nails and they last for 6 - 8 weeks easily!! They have never let me down!! Tonight my twin daughters and I went here about 45 minutes before they closed looking for mani & pedi's. They knew it was going to make them late but they said they could get us done. I'm telling you I love Stoneridge NAILS!! They are the best place in town. I used to go to DaVinci Nails and the last two times I went prior to starting here at Stoneridge Nails they applied the same shellac nail color but both times it chipped and was awful within a couple of days. The Shellac Stoneridge Nails uses just doesn't crack or chip. I have cleaned my house, done dishes right after and I have never had a problem in over a year!! Way to go Stoneridge Nails!! read more

Yesterday I went to get my mani pedi done. This place has gone so down. The girl who did my pedi was okay but later I realized how the top part on my big toe my nail paint looks wrinkly. But worst was the girl who did my acrylics with gel polish. I was asking her price for getting acrylic and she kept saying $40 up ... Then finally I asked her how much I need to pay for my nails. I don't understand what answer is &40 up .. please tell customers exactly how much they need to pay. Otherwise In end they can say $40 or $45 ... whatever comes to their mind. They keep grey area depending their mood to quote. Plus tip is like a guaranteed bonus without performance appreciation. I was trying to decide the color but she kept rushing me. While she was doing my nails a big group walked in. She literally rushed my nails and didn't even massage my hands. I know that massage was missed because the girl next to me got her massage for same job as was done by me. You can tell how greedy these people are for money. Why tip them when we are already paying for the job they are doing. Anyways anytime you go it's always different girl doing the job. It's time to find new place soon. read more

I don't and won't go anywhere else for my nails after finding this place. After reading some of the 'negative' reviews I do have to disagree. I come here often, as does my 7 year old daughter. There are some instances where there is a communication barrier, but it is not so extreme that it's impossible to let them know what you'd like. This place is extremely clean, all products used are labeled, they trim & file the nails perfectly, and they do a great paint job. I have experienced the work of most all the manicurists in here. They have never turned me away, even if I was running late or they were close to closing for the night. The only reason I give a "4" instead of a "5" is because they do not accept tips on credit card, which can be a bit irritating if you forget cash and then you look cheap or unappreciative for not giving one. read more

I don't love this place, I don't hate it either. Here's why: The pros- I've always been able to walk right in. The polish on my pedicures last for months! A mani and pedi is not a huge time commitment, they work relatively fast, but it doesn't feel like a rush job. They are especially friendly to my little girls. They painted little flowers on their nails, a spoke sweetly to them. They are fairly reasonable. The cons- there is absolutely nothing relaxing about someone chanting "pick your color, pick your color, pick your color!!" Btw, that type of behavior only makes me even more indecisive. I know I sound paranoid, but... When people are speaking another language, glancing toward me and laughing, it definitely feels like they're laughing about me. If not, they sure have a lot of inside jokes. ( full disclosure, I have ugly toes and one looks like E.T. No, really it's longer than my big toe) They talk nonstop ( full/high volume) and it's just slightly annoying. They need some soft music or something. Maybe I should bring head phones next time. They only take cash tips, and they make sure to have TWO people work on you, even if they're not busy. This one isn't their fault at all, but, they are located in a shopping center that has Trader Joe's, and four restaurants,a dry cleaning service, a massage/spa center, and a UPS store,so you'll be navigating in a small parking lot from hell basically. This review is strictly for their pedicures: Even though it's coming up on winter and colder thick sock and boot wearing season, it's still nice to get pampered with a pedi once a month. After recently moving to the area, I was in search for a go-to place, and feel as if I've found it. The prices are great - and by great I mean $20 for a pedi. But... you can find a $20 pedi at other places too, so I guess where the awesomeness of this place comes in is the actual pedicure that accompanies that 20 dollar price tag. The massage chairs are your typical massage chairs. They work, they massage your back and move all around to all the sore achey spots that need attention. The ladies who worked on us weren't over chatty (with us or with each other, which I am a big fan of). They responded kindly to questions, but didn't fill my relax time with obnoxious banter. The massage was soothing and not lacking attention like some of these cheaper nail salons can be. And they did a fine job cleaning up and painting my nails. I can't complain about anything, actually. If you do not have time do not say you will take a walk in and then not massage you whatsoever and rush through the whole service. I have been coming here for two years. The technicians at SN are excellent and the shop is clean. Tools are sterilized--in plastic and opened at the time of service. They are careful, always do a great job and are very friendly and warm. Five stars for service and performance. Now for the disappointing part--the ever-changing payment policies. When I originally started coming they preferred cash/checks but took cards. Today I get my check ready before starting my mani/pedi--$30 for services and $10 tip; $40 total. Then in the middle of my manicure one of the techs hands my check to the tech working on me. My tech then says I need to use a card because the owner is not there. WTF? I am not a stranger. I come at least once a month and have never bounced a check n my life. Every time I come to SN the payment policies change. My tech asks if I want it run for $43--since they charge $3 for charge cards. No I say run it for the original amount--$40--still almost a 25% tip. I have done as you asked and provided a check. I will not be penalized for your under-handed cash only scheme. A check is cash. There is no fee to the receiver to cash it. The only reason you refuse checks from trusted clients is to avoid taxes. Note to owner of Stoneridge Nails: You can decide how you want to be paid but if you keep hassling customers regarding payment they will move on to your competition. Taxes suck but we all must pay them. It's the cost of doing business and pays for all the services we receive in our state--and our country. Better to pay your fair share versus having no business to pay taxes on. read more

I am one of those people who is very particular about their nails, so usually I paint them myself. I've tried several nail salons around Pleasanton, including expensive ones and cheap ones. Overall, this is my favorite place ever. I wanted to get acrylics for the first time, and, being extremely high maintenance, I showed a picture of exactly what I wanted done to the woman and they were amazing! I am a long time customer of this place. They do a nice job on pedicures. Recently, i came in for a gel manicure for the holidays. After about 3 weeks my nails started to chip which I think is about normal, so I returned to have the gel removed. In addition to nail polisher remover, they used a metal pusher to scrape the gel off. This was rough on my nails. She should have used a softer material. Also, when done, she charged me $10 for that service. In my opinion, that is a high price to pay especially when I'm a repeat customer. read more
