Such a cozy little spot. I can't remember how I found out about this restaurant but what caught my eye was they have lemon ricotta pancakes. I was so happy as I love all things lemon and was very excited to try - thinking I found a place that had pancakes that was as good as Golden Diner but closer to home with parking so off I went. They have small sidewalk seating but I chose to eat inside where there are a few tables and cute art on the walls. I ordered my pancakes with a side of bacon and settled in mouth watering. There are four small pancakes on the plate slathered with a lemon glaze and while I do love lemon, it was so much glaze that it was overpowering the actual taste of the pancakes. There was also and entire side of fruit which offset the tartness of all that lemon so that was good. Now when I say I ordered a side of bacon and received a SIDE of bacon I'm not lying. There were at least six pieces if not more of nicely cooked bacon which I enjoyed. While I wasn't a fan of the pancakes, I would absolutely go back to try some of their other breakfast items as everything looked so good. read more

Another great spot in Westchester with great vibes and food! The service was great and so were the prices. I thought the prices were very reasonable for their afternoon tea and a la carte dishes. I had the afternoon tea set for 2 and their lemon ricotta pancakes. The tartness of the lemon was balanced out by the ricotta and that paired with the chewiness of the pancakes was just a delicious combination. 10/10 would recommend it! With their afternoon tea, you can choose the tea you would like and they have a great selection so you'll definitely find something you like! Then you choose your tea sandwich and the rest are assorted fruits, scones, and petit-fours. I went with their BBQ chicken salad for my sandwich and I really enjoyed it. I thought the scones had a great texture to them and weren't too sweet. The flakiness was just right and was not dry at all. I had such a great time here and am definitely looking to visit again. Eatarry is a very cozy little place with about 10 or so tables. We we're warmly greeted and seated promptly. We ordered one order of lemon ricotta pancakes, which was huge. Photo shows one half of the order which the kitchen split without even asking. Certainly enough for two people to share. We also ordered scrambled eggs on the side, which were delicious. Their coffee was excellent. They had an extraordinary offering of loose leaf teas which was brewed perfectly in a pot. I ordered the Irish breakfast tea. Don't ask me why I'd never been here before. Maybe because we tend to go out for dinner more than breakfast or lunch (which is when Eatarry is only open). But oh my! What a fun place to spend the morning and linger over a beautiful cup of tea. I got the polenta breakfast with the two poached eggs. I asked if they'd make the eggs a little firm and they happily complied (my friend wanted hers "regular" and they were soft as she liked.) She got the heart grain bowl (I forgot what it's called on the menu). She said she usually gets this bowl and her partner gets the lemon pancakes and they share. Now THAT must be an amazing combo! Sweet and savory. I'm going to try that next time. The service couldn't have been nicer. Really quite the local gem for morning/afternoon adventures. read more

Feeling generous today, so I'm awarding the Tarrytown "Eatarry" 3 stars. My fiance and I come to Tarrytown every June 30th for our anniversary, and it's always, always, always intensely busy in the downtown area (Main St). Eatarry could be great, but I feel like the staff here may just not care... Firstly, it was BLAZING HOT in there, no AC and only a large fan for the wait staff by the front register. After we were seated, it took quite a while for anyone to take our drink order (we desperately needed ice water) and it really wasn't busy! My "Lyndhurst" sandwich was decent but the "homemade" potato chips were not. Could possibly return, but it's unlikely. read more

Especially when they only took our order and never checked on us once ... Food is mediocre. Ambiance doesn't fit a "high tea/breakfast". Stopped by Eatarry in September and just getting around to writing the review. We were a group a 5 and the staff was very accommodating and seated us right away as we did not have a reservation. I ordered the tea party and really enjoyed everything that came with it. Love that they have a lot of tea options. The shop was decorated nicely and had outdoor seating which was perfect for the fall weather. Me and my friend were having breakfast, I had lemon ricotta pancakes that were just ok, I felt they should be light and fluffy but were dense. I think they should work on it because that is a nice variation to regular pancakes, the bacon was perfect, crispy and flat like it was made in the oven. What a great little small family run restaurant. I, as a rule do not like eggs nor the texture of an omelette but they look so good. I ordered one. Let me tell you it was the lightest fluffiest omelette I have ever had. I ate the entire thing. It renewed my hope in eating eggs again . I think they could elaborate more on their menu. If their quality was good then the price for the area is fine. The only reason we went here is because we were looking for a brunch spot and this looked cute on the outside. Was craving brunch and this fit the bill. The place needs ac badly as evening a cool day it was rather warm. The service is kinda slow too. But other that that this place is awesome. The Eggs Benedict was spot on and even looked pretty lol the side salad was needed with the sweet stuff we got. The ham and Swiss tea sandwich was yummy as was the egg salad sandwich. Great little spot. Stayed in the area over night and needed some breakfast, so this was just a random Yelp search result. I am so glad I stopped. Clean, bright bistro-feel, super friendly staff. Music in the background and great coffee with a HUGE selection of teas. I'm not a tea drinker, but if you are I imagine you'll be very happy. The Tappan Zee panini was incredible. My husband and I like taking little weekend day drives out of the city and we decided to visit Tarrytown. I looked up a bunch of places we could have brunch ahead of time and found this place right here on Yelp. I was not disappointed. It was a really cozy spot, especially on a rainy gloomy day. It's a pretty small restaurant, so it could feel cramped easily. I ordered the Petite Tea for One which included a two cup pot of tea, a sandwich, scone, and assorted petit-fours, all for $15. I chose the tuna salad sandwich, a chocolate chip scone (I believe that was the flavor), and coconut vanilla tea. The portions were great and I didn't even end up eating everything, it was all so filling and absolutely delicious. I even had leftover tea that I shared with my husband. The tuna salad had a nice tangy flavor to it that I absolutely loved. My husband ordered the Philipsburg ($14.50) which was a smoked salmon panini. It was surprisingly large and he said it was incredible. I'm not a smoked salmon person myself, but I'll take his word for it. Just having a lovely brunch here alone was worth the drive. The only reason this was a 4 rather than 5 star review is that when we visited, it was pretty empty for the most part, yet we just awkwardly stood in the entryway for a few minutes before anyone bothered to acknowledge us. The servers clearly did notice us, but went about their business until it was convenient. I was up in the area for a good friends wedding but needed something to eat before the event. This place had some great reviews and by the look of it figured I could be in and out in 30 minutes or less. And I was right. I placed an order with the waitress for the chocolate chip pancakes, they came out about 10 minutes later (there were only 3-4 tables sitting at the moment, and one had food). As you can see in the photo, they look delicious, my MAJOR qualm though is wtf is up with the banana?!? I HATE, i mean, HATE, banana. Nowhere on the menu did it mention banana.
