We tried a couple of appetizers-goat cheese dip and fire cracker shrimp-both tasty. The Bacon stuffed Gouda burger was ordered on both visits -Ground Chuck/Proper Tavern Burger and it was that good! Fish and Chips were also ordered both visits-perfectly battered Haddock living up to the Tavern billing. The Tavern Monte Cristo is one to try. Battered and fried sandwich is never a bad idea-we loved it! We had a mix of draft beers (import)-they had Carlsberg (Danish) which isn't easy to find as well we had a Scottish Ale. Overall, an ample import draft list. Service was super engaged and upbeat from beginning to end on both visits. They are a Futbol Tavern and they mentioned they do get quite busy and have an even more of a fun atmosphere during the season-too bad we only visit during the Futbol off season-summer. We saw banners for Oktoberfest celebrations. Specials Monday-Thursday including Whiskey, wine and Wellington! Also, have a couple of sister locations in Hampton and Fredericksburg.
