This location has very rude cashiers. The man that just rang up my order did not say anything back when I spoke to him twice. I also had a previous experience out in the parking lot with a teenage boy who was collecting carts. He gave me an extremely dirty look as if he was angry. your yogurt sucks. I got it and it had mold growing inside. I have been by the toilet nonstop project out vomiting everywhere all over the walls. Okay, so before I leave a negative review based mostly on disgraceful customer service in deli dept., I checked reviews sorted by most recent, and the 3 most recent reviews are from 2023,2022 and 2021. ?! Weird or what. They run specials that start Friday and let everything run out without restocking all week. The 'fresh SB bread is always stale, the young men @ the deli are incapable of properly slicing meat( how tf hard is it to move the gauge on a slicer?) and give you attitude. Immediately when you walk into the store, the smell is horrendous and looks dirty. Does not seem like somewhere you would want to buy food. Walked over to the produce and some of it was rotten and should not be left out. Wait time for citizens bank is ridiculous. Told me 10-15 minutes, waited more than 40 to be seen. Would have left if I knew in advance it was going to be a bit. Out of all the stop and shops in this area, this is by far the worst. read more

Just as the other reviews attest, this is one of the worst Stop&Shop locations I have been to. And I've been to so, so, many Stop&Shop stores, it's not even funny. This store had so many expired items throughout the store (I took a picture of a few of the items, all dates are from 2017!). I don't think I've ever seen more expired items, or worse, many items that were expiring the day I was at the store. Absolutely insane... does anyone actually work in the maintenance department at this store, or check expiration dates? Is their some sort of protocol in place for this process? Seriously ridiculous. Pricing compliance is also not complete. There were several signs throughout the store which were not accurate. Staff were alright, some seemed to be making fun of the manager, which I didn't like to see and others were rude. The assistant manager Aaron, was very helpful and friendly. Store seemed dirty, needing more additional light (the pier of lights that goes throughout the store in the middle of each aisle was off, making lighting very dim), and it needed some cleaning, renovating and re-stocking. Just not a good scene. The Stop&Shop on Rt 1 in Attleborough is considerably nicer, cleaner and a more reliable place to shop. This location has got to be one of the worst around. 1st of all I will continue to go Stop & Shop but I will go to Shaw's more often. Now you go there you see a price on a product in then it's a digital coupon so it's not the actual price so if one of the digital coupon you don't get that price the problem is not clearly marked. read more

Yea pretty much awful.... if it was not convenient I would never shop here. The produce section is pretty much rotten fruit and veges... you could prob use the fruit to make your own alcohol? That is really the only plus to this section. The Deli people seem to have nothing but time... I hear them talking more about what they did last weekend then slicing meat. Solid 15 min wait at all times. Drives me crazy! ...And then there is the prices... just walking into this store costs you $50 bucks. 9 times out of 10 I will go to the S. Attleboro Market Basket... but that ONE time when I am running late and HAVE to go here... reminds me of why I hate it so much. read more

If you've ever been to a Stop and Shop then you've pretty much been to every Stop and Shop. You'll find any common grocery item that you'd expect to find at a grocery store and the prices are moderate. What you'll also find at nearly every Stop and Shop is terrible produce and horrible customer service. I hate to sound like a crotchety old man, especially since I used to work at a Stop and Shop in my youth, but you can expect to be ignored by your 17 year old cashier as she yammers on to the 16 year old bagger about whatever inane things she did after school. You can also expect to have to use your produce quick because it'll be ready for the garbage in a day or two. We've also had problems with their meat going bad within 24 hours of getting it home despite the fact that the expiration date on the package isn't for a couple more days. According to someone I know who works in the meat department at another Stop and Shop this is because a sale changes going from one week to another the meat has to be relabeled with the new price and often times the one wrapping it is too lazy to change the date along with the price. I guess all you really need to know about Stop and Shop is that for most of our trips to the grocery store we drive directly past it and keep driving for another 15 minutes to do our shopping at Hannaford's. read more

The meat is NEVER fresh! I don't know why I have given them so many chances. Multiple times my meat like chicken or pork would be bad 1 or 2 days BEFORE the sell by date which I wasn't sure in the past if it was because of my old fridge which I now have a new one. Well I started getting my meat elsewhere but today I bought a whole rotisserie chicken and opened it at home to prepare for dinner and it smelled HORRIBLE! I'm thinking you guys are in need of a new manager in the meat department because obviously the one you have sucks at his job! read more

Another reviewer said everything I wanted to say about this Stop & Shop...same ol' song and dance. You've seen one, you've seen 'em all. Produce isn't the best around, altho they do have a good salad bar (mind you, early in the day/afternoon when it's freshest). This location is always busy for some reason, no matter what time I've gone. Sucks when you just have to pop in for a few items and hit all the parking traffic and long lines inside. Employees aren't too helpful...I waited for assistance for quite sometime in the florist, bakery and self-checkout areas on all separate occasions and felt as though I was a hassle when I was finally tended to. Worst produce anywhere. The stuff has been chilled to appear crisp but by the time you get it home, it's wilting and caving in on itself. Although it appeared to be in decent shape, why is it that I cut open a red pepper to find it is moldy on the inside? They display onions and other produce that is dusty or has black mold on it. The grapes often look like they found them in the back of a produce truck that was abandoned on the road. Oranges and other citrus fruit are often dry when peeled. Apples? 1983? Seafood is laughably overpriced. Even the day old bakery stuff that used to be fifty per cent off is now thirty-three per cent off. Really? But nothing is as horrible as the ladies room. Hope you never have an emergency need to use it. Filthy beyond description. All those air fresheners, don't. Five self checkouts are open and only two regular registers? The employees are wonderful, I really have to say they are friendly and helpful, and the pharmacy is outstanding. But they are overloaded and last I knew, their break room is on a 2nd floor with no AC. p. s. I went to the No Attleboro store yesterday and was astounded to see what looked like great produce. For some reason every time I go here I end up leaving aggravated. First they always seem crowded, but even when there are only a few cars in the parking lot. I think it is more the aisles and layout make the place feel cramped and you have to maneuver around other people. They never seem to have what I need and finding things are so difficult. Where they put things seems to make little sense. They have a terrible prepared foods and again never have what you want. And check out in the worst experience ever. Plan on spending more time in line then the whole visit. I avoid this Stop and Shop like the plague! read more

Why isn't there an option for ZERO stars?? I shopped here for almost two years and things were fine. However, they remodeled (modernized) about 3 or 4 months ago and since then it is downright ROTTEN. PUN INTENDED. Suddenly, the produce is disgusting. The edamame in so old it's discolored (pale yellow), everything that is supposed to green and leafy is wilted and limp, green peppers are so old they have developed wrinkles, avocados will burst in your hands if you don't handle them gently because they are so far past ripe it's ridiculous, good luck trying to find berries that are not covered in mold....and on and on. I swear that the Produce Manager must be blind, oblivious, or apathetic (or all three) because any fool that spends three seconds in that department would be appalled at the nasty fruits and veggies. I thought it was a one time thing and was willing to overlook it, but as I said before, this has had gotten progressively worse over the past few months. Down right DISGUSTING and probably in violation of some kind of health code. This place makes the produce at Wal-Mart 5-star which I previously thought impossible. What an awful, awful place. They usually don't have too much stocked, especially in the meat section. Their lettuce is typically already on the shelves as bad/expired, but that's not the worst of it. Went to the bakery for bagels/rolls... opened the doors to them and the entire thing was infested with fruit flies. Absolutely disgusting. I let management know, and gave it a chance about a month later. Went again and it was yet again infested with fruit flies. Not one or two, but hundreds. I let management know again and I will never, ever buy any baked "goods" from there again. The deli is also pretty hilarious. It's usually understaffed, so we try to use the "order and pick up after" machine. Gave us an estimate of 15-20 minutes. Came back 30 minutes later and it wasn't ready, which was fine.. as we expected it would be done in a few minutes. Ended up waiting an additional 35 minutes.. so waited over an hour for our deli order (which was only 3 things). Should've just stayed & waited in the initial line. Pretty common sense- if you don't have the staff to keep up with orders, don't have the machine on. I'd rather go anywhere than this place. read more
