I think Yelp is getting rid of Tips in June so I figure I'll just make this a review. I was using the bottle deposit machines here. The machine where you put empty glass, plastic and aluminum beverage containers into it in exchange for a refund. The machines here ONLY accept empties of what they sell in the store. Do not put beer bottles or cans inside the machine, they will be rejected. Although I had a hell of a time trying to get the machine to accept Mountain Dew bottles. A drink the store carries. I only went here because the can machine at BJ's up the road has been out of order for like 2 months. If you have more alcohol cans and bottles than soda. Don't come here. It's not worth trying to sort through what these pain in the ass machines actually take. This crap should be universal. If the label has MA on it. It should be approved for ANY MA Bottle recycling machine location. Not specific ones. That's a waste of time and gas. read more

Absolutely the worst service, lack of stock, and everybody that works there always just seems miserable

I wanted to like this store given how close it is to the house I will be moving into soon. Unfortunately, it is underwhelming, It has stained ceilings and missing ceiling tiles, empty shelves, and a smell that was discernibly bad even through my face mask. I also visited Market Basket which, although farther away, is much cleaner, brighter, and stocked. No wonder the crowd there was much larger. It beats Market Basket in the friendliness category but that's it! There is so much to improve, but it can happen if management cares enough to make it happen. Until then, I'll drive the extra 5 miles to the Basket. read more

The only reason I am giving this store 2 stars instead of 1 is because some of the employees are nice and they have decent selection. When it comes to the service there, it's awful. Employees will just be standing around talking while customers bag their own stuff. Like we don't work there??? You do! It's your job to bag our stuff. If I wanted to bag my own stuff I would've gone to self checkout. Additionally, some of the employees, specifically the managers, are so rude. read more

What makes the North Attleborough Stop&Shop the best grocery store in town is the AWESOME employees! Stop&Shop is my favorite grocery store. By far. While others find it subpar to the prices of Market Basket or the quality of Wegmans, I just love the self checkout at ALL Stop&Shop stores as well as the cool scanners that some of the stores have. Therefore, I shop at lots of them and am able to compare them. Looking at this stores interior design, cleanliness, and lack of deli employees I would normally only give it three stars. That being said, Gina, Stacey, and Manager Brendan all make this store fantastic. They are all so friendly, kind and helpful. Specifically, Gina who manages the self checkout is hysterical! I don't think I've laughed so hard in months! Stacey is also very helpful and does a great job running the front end of the store, and Manager Brendan is also quite funny, and helps his employees... something other store managers don't do (when you clearly don't have enough employees at checkout, a GOOD manager helps out.). For the store in general, it lacks size and isn't one of the remodeled locations, but it's still pretty clean, well organized and well stocked. Prices seem pretty good, and with all of the competition in the area, they've got to keep them on the low side. My only big complaint is the deli staff. Their was a huge line, and the guys back there were throwing things around and being way too loud for me to even THINK. I'll have to let the manager know about them.... Overall, this is a pretty good store with exceptional employees. I would come back if I was in the area again. It's nice that the foot traffic is a whole lot less than the Stop&Shop further down the road. read more

Wow the hiring managers are just terrible at hiring their floor employees, they have the WORST attitudes! I would have let it slide if I didn't frequent here so often. On more then one occasion I have thanked the bagging attendants for bagging my groceries one just stared at me and another looked me in the eyes and turned on his heel. Would they have preferred me to be a jerk and spit in their face? At least then they would have had a reason to be rude. The cashiers are no better wearing a sourpuss and throwing my groceries around. I suggest some work incentives which might improve their working environment and my shopping experience. read more

Horrible customer service! It took me 4 different workers to locate the minced garlic. They each sent me to different aisles, and they were all wrong. The last employee I asked worked in the produce department. He was stocking greens on the wet wall when I approached him. "Excuse me, do you know where the minced garlic in a jar is?" "No." Was all he said and he turned around and kept working. Seriously? That's it? Sorry for bothering you and requesting you to help me locate an item. I guess I made a mistake when I thought customer service was in your job description. Another shopper overheard me asking where the garlic was and she was kind enough to show me. She too thought his response was horrible. The best part here is that the garlic was in produce. The department in which he worked in. Good job stop and shop. I'll stick to whole foods. read more

Thank you to the two associates today who were patient with me while my toddler threw a temper tantrum over cupcakes as I explained why I needed to buy orange marigolds for dia de los muertos. I was expressing my frustration with the quality of available marigolds in the color I needed for the holiday. They made the situation right and that is all I needed so thank you. I normally don't shop at this location, and rarely visit the company at all. I'm usually looking for the best deal, but this day I was looking for a very specific item. I very much needed and was searching far and wide for honeycrisp apples. When I went to the display, there was one sad dented apple in the box. I located a produce employee and asked ever so desperately for them to check if they had any more in the back, as I had been looking everywhere. The amazingly kind and thoughtful worker came out with the box they had received that day in shipment and allowed me to choose my apples. He was so much nicer than just about anyone I've ever dealt with at S&S. I was very impressed, hence this higher star rating. Overall, it's not a poor rating store, just usually pricier than elsewhere. Hard to find items are available, though, which is very useful! read more

worst shopping experience of my life. I always use the self checkout machine, it's just quicker. however, the machines updated, and they are horrible. the machine requires you to put everything you scan "in the bagging area" where it is being weighed. im assuming this was put in place to help with loss prevention, and it's a great idea if it worked. the machine doesn't know how much things weigh. so, if it seemed off it would repeat over and over "make sure all items are scanned and placed in the bagging area." or "weight is off, please make sure all items in the bagging area are scanned." and if it wasn't fixed within 10 seconds it would make a worker come over and undo it. I followed the directions and it still went off a million times. the poor lady working there, Gina B, had to help me as well as everyone else several times. She was very short tempered and a little rude but i can honestly understand. it was awful. every machine was saying something at the same time and it was a total frustrating sensory overload. these self checkouts need to be fixed or i can guarantee they will never be used, and they will end up loosing a lot of buisness. read more

"The case of the mysterious pork shoulder for $1.29/lb on Sunday" Never happened!!!! Guhdamnit. Gimmiky bait n' switch!!! All I wanted to do is buy a pork shoulder, to make pulled pork, not a 1999 Nissan Sentra. If there is someone worth bludgeoning to death with a friggin tire iron I would say it would have to be the the whole entire marketing staff at Stop& shop! They put a little sign out "Fresh pork shoulder $1.29/lb", they put it near other pork shoulders. You see it and say "Hmmm, are these the ones they're talking about, or are there others?" You go up to the Meat counter. No one there. Wait..... yep. there is! Hiding! Customer:"Excuse me, which pork shoulders are $1.29?" Meat manager: "We ran out today" Customer: "Was there a pork shoulder festival today that someone failed to tell me about?" Meat manager: "Wanna raincheck? You can fill one out at the service desk." Bastards!!!! This is the oldest trick in the book! Never again will I shop at stop & shop on a sunday. They pick that day to pawn off the broken produce, the crappiest cuts of meat, and the oldest bread. When I shop I want to buy things, not dick around with price games! It seems like all of the stop & shops are the same in this respect. Though I really like the "Refuse bin" of produce. (The cart filled with on the cusp produce that they blow out for cheap). Big bargains there. Red pepprs, yellow peppers, Challots, Ugli fruit, Aloe fronds. I like the peppers. You can have the aloe and Ugli fruit. the "Simply Enjoy" line I think is great, I don't see any HFCS on the ingredients list on them. (Yes it's true HFCS is ok in moderation but it's in everything and that's my major beef with it) The DIY line is yet another attempt at de-personalization, and the night stock crews- no matter where you go, are creepy lookin' and 80s'd out in mullets and vintage "BOSTON world tour 84'"concert shirts. No matter which S&S you go to the bathroom always smells like a sewer pit full of rancid fat and poop. Dunno why... The dunkies cup holders on the carriges piss me off. I try to find the carrige with four round wheels, sans the cupholder. Nature's Promise hot dogs are something akin to the holy grail in there. Hard to find. For some reason they want you to fill your guts with all that sodium nitrate garbage found in BAR-S and the likes. Two stars for their boundless effort, blood sweat and tears to do as little as possible for the customer. I'm being generous. the fried chicken is good. read more

There are three things about this location that really bother me: 1. The produce department is always hit or miss. Often there are small flies flying around, especially over the onions which more often than not have soft spots. A lot of times I am amazed at the poor quality of items that is being left out....rotting, gross....and forget about shopping while they are putting out stock...they will NOT move for a customer to get what I want. 2. The deli takes FOREVER to get anything. I often just get the presliced items. Even if there is one person ahead of you, prepare to wait for 15 minutes while one person works and 2 others hang out in the background. I have never had a good experience when ordering from this deli...it just aggrivates me. 3. There is only a couple of cashiers open with long lines. If you don't do the self checkout you will be stuck waiting for quite some time. There are a couple males at the self checkout that are very helpful and help bag the groceries at the self checkout. There is one lady that has long straight brown hair and is middle aged...she does nothing to help but stand there...again, very aggravating. read more

I was at North Attleboro Stop and Shop at the deli getting my lunch meat. I was watching a young girl dark hair slicing at least two pounds of meat when it fell over. She took what was on the slicer and brought it to the back on the counter she proceeded to pick the meat that fell on the floor and threw it in the basket then went back to slicing the rest of the meat WITHOUT changing her glove. Not only did she do this but she then went back with the rest of the meat she sliced put it with the original pie and wrapped it and give it to the customer!!! I am describing the employee so maybe the manager will see this and retrain her on infection control! I will never take my eye off of the person who is getting my meat or purchase pre-package after seeing this! read more

This is an older store but the selection seems more diverse than the one in Plainville. Employees are generally very friendly.

I used to go to the Seekonk location, which I was more fond of. This one changes their aisles too often, and has a surprisingly low selection of various products. read more

I'm not overly impressed with this Stop & Shop, but I only really go here from time to time when we need some treats at work. The parking lot & store itself are always packed and busy busy everytime I come. I've never had any huge issues with employees, except for a cashier bad mouthing the bakery department for not sealing a cake box properly. Last time I was there, a male employee, seeming to be a manager of some type, smiled and said, "Hello, how're you doing today?" as we passed one another in an aisle...I thought that was nice. I think the store is real nice, even though it's an older store than the one that I visited in Warwick. It had plenty of items and it was easy to go through and find what I needed. The employees were very friendly and helpful too. read more

This is my local Stop&Shop, so I'm in here a lot just because its convenient. They have a pretty good selection of just about everything and the prices are decent. Maybe not as cheap as WallyWorld, but definitely not as crowded. I just wish I could buy beer here. read more

The grocery here is expensive compare to other stores. Vegetables and meats are not very fresh. I can't wait for the Market Basket to open down the street. read more

Customer service and wait time in line is terrible at this supermarket. Do not try to shop here after 5 pm on a weekday. They are understaffed and do not even open enough self-serve lines. Terrible management as well. read more
