Christian gave me a FIRM price & said it would take 3 men. Day of move- a secondary owner (Zachary and a young man still in high school) showed up. After 6 hrs of loading the 26' U-Haul truck the lead mover (Zachary) notified me that the truck would not be large enough for my furnishings. He told me it would be an additional $900!!! I exclaimed Absolutely no way. Zachary then called his boss (Christian) for a resolution. i was asked to speak with Christian which I did - he went on and on never allowing me a word. i kept repeating this issue was 'on him' I gave all the correct info on 1st call stating the size of home and giving him a choice to go on-line and see the 'For Sale' pics showing amount and size of furnishings. Christian continually argued with me; over-talking me, rude & bullying me etc etc. After much debating he changed the charge from the $900 to $500, I still refused- yet making a forced compromise at $400! The additional trip was after 11;30 a.m. midnight to St Petersburg. Remainder was delivered. I returned home at 1:24 a.m. exhausted! it was WRONG of owner's to expect more $$ when the conversation at onset was clear and precise with pics if needed. I am FURIOUS; I was SCAMMED! i still gave the 2 guys a nice tip as they worked over 10 hrs loading/unloading and driving. I DID THE RIGHT THING! Christian DID NOT DO THE RIGHT THING. All of the units are ground level and we chose a unit close to the front. We were storing household items so it was important that the unit was climate controlled. They also offer non climate controlled units and have several sizes to choose from. The entire facility is very clean and well maintained. Their prices are competitive. In addition to providing storage they are also an authorized Uhaul dealer. We rented a small truck from them twice for a few hours. We we quoted reasonable price and the convenience was helpful.

The place flooded, wood table, wicker furniture, antique drafting table, an $800 custom rug, all ruined with heavy mold and water damage. The only response was "You should have bought the insurance." The leak was from the back wall structure on the floor, from the water line on the cardboard boxes, it was at least 3 inches of water. Do I know now you need insurance? Sure. But my point is the structure of the cinder block building leaked. I realize legally they can get away with this. But I think it is the responsibility of the service providor to maintain the integrity of the structure. They get a free pass, does not seem fair. Final digs? I could not even use the on-site dumpster, so I had to wrap the inside of my car to haul all the molded items out for disposal. Be very careful what you put in this place!

It took 2 men 10 minutes to do this. They charged me $325 and I told them to call their boss because that was a ridiculous price for 10 minutes of work. They both agreed. I spoke to the owner and he brought it down to $250, still a ridiculous price! I had moved here recently and didn't know anyone so I needed help. They have taken advantage of a senior citizen! I would never recommend them!
