Don't bother. I checked their hours and they were supposed to be open at 11 today (Sunday). I called a few times, but no one answered. The message said that they were on the other line or helping a client, and their call volume was high because of a new promotion. I left a message as instructed. Since my husband and I were in the area, we thought we'd stop in to make an appointment in person. It turns out this place is in the basement of a huge office building. When we got to the suite, the door was locked and the lights off. The whole building seemed deserted. I don't understand why they wouldn't simply list that their office is closed rather than providing misleading information on their website and answering machine. I looked into other 3D ultrasound places and they offer much more for the same price of $39 than Stork Snapshots. This place is a joke. I'm actually glad they were closed because I think I will get a much better experience elsewhere. read more

We originally went to Stork Snapshots with our first pregnancy to find out the sex of our baby. This was when they were in Naperville. The boutique that it was in was a little out of the way and a little too girly for me, but I'm a guy and not really into that stuff. We were pleased with the people there, so we came back for a 3D/4D ultrasound at my wife's 31st week. The images that we received were uncanny. The tech did such a great job taking pictures of our unborn child. We're currently pregnant with our second child and found out that the boutique and the ultrasound place had moved to Yorktown. We went at the 15th week and found out that we're having another boy! About two weeks ago, my wife and I felt bad that we're not doing as much for this baby as our last one, so we decided that we should make another 3D/4D appointment. We called on a Friday night and made a Saturday afternoon appointment. Easy. They told us that they weren't at the Yorktown location anymore, but across the street. No biggie. Other than having to visit 3 locations over 2 pregnancies, I would totally recommend this place. We had the same tech at both locations with our current child and she did a great job finding his "utensil" the first time and getting the 4D images the second time. We compared the pictures from the first baby and they look very similar. read more

FYI their location has changed and they are now off Ogden ave in Aurora! I went for my gender ultrasound today accompanied by my twin sister and two nieces (a 3 year old and 9 month old). The space was immediately very warm and inviting, and decorated very well. I asked if I could upgrade my session to one of the 3D ultrasounds and despite having a packed schedule, Becky was very accommodating. The ultrasound room was very spacious, clean, a comfortable temperature, and had two additional large screens on the wall which was nice. She was very personable and friendly and chatted with my sister and I while the ultrasound was done. I asked that she keep the gender a secret from me and only tell my sister because we are having a gender reveal party over the weekend and we want to be surprised. Becky happily obliged and was very good about not using any gender specific language and making sure I knew not to look at my CD/DVD until after my reveal party. It was truly a wonderful experience to be able to see my little one at 19 weeks. I'm even considering going back in my third trimester! Thank you stork ! read more

Do NOT waste your time. I repeat do NOT waste your time. As other reviewers have said, they NEVER answer their phone. I was shocked that we finally got an appointment for this evening at 6. They called at 4:15 tonight to cancel our 6 pm appointment. Not ok. The lady called from a blocked number and said their ultra sound machine was broken. Sorry I don't buy it. She seemed very nonchalant about it and didn't care that we've been looking forward to this for weeks. She asked if we wanted to reschedule and I laughed. What I find the most interesting is I called around 3:30 to ask a question and there was no answer. Imagine that. Then she called at 4:15 and told me the bad news. Not 5 minutes after we hung up I tried calling the facility back and no answer. If they were really there with a broken machine why wouldn't they answer the phone? I called another facility who so graciously got us in at the last minute this evening. When I told her I was so upset we were cancelled on she didn't even ask me the name of the place who cancelled. She knew! She said "storks snapshots, right?" Isn't that interesting that the competitors know how you run your business!!! She said she gets last minute calls because they cancel on their people all the time. Save yourself the last minute running around, rescheduling and disappointment. The lady tells me "We are back-to-back" pack and cannot include you OR if we squeeze you in, we will not be able to give you full time of your package !! I mean wtf !! Worst gift I ever gave my wife was the spa treatment with these clowns. Canceled on her at the last second twice. Once because they were short-staffed (okay, that happens) and once because the receptionist triple-booked on accident. I was almost of the opinion she'd have the baby before actually getting into the place. When she finally goes down for her appointment, there's no signage, the phone number doesn't pick up, and she calls me crying, literally, with frustration. I call until someone finally picks up; "oops, our bad". They find her in the parking lot about ready to kill someone. Now, I get that some business are OK making a pregnant woman cry. But if the whole &*^#ing point of your business is stress reduction and you bring your customers to tears because you're impossible to deal with, why bother? I should have just given her the flu for Christmas; it'd be over in a few days and cost less for the same stress. read more

DO NOT WASTE TIME AND MONEY!!!! Along with the few reviewer (Amy) I had a similar situation..I called and go figure I get the machine so I leave a message. It took not a couple days but over a week for me to get a call back! When I get the call I was unavailable at the moment. So I called back 2 times within an hour and I left a message again. Its been almost TWO WEEKS AND NADA!!!!!! What kind of establishment are they running.. Whats the point of having a message machine if no returns calls????? I dont think that ill ever get a call back cause im still waiting. Its upsetting because this should be a happy experience but it was just a bunch of unneeded stress. read more

It was truly awesome to be able to get a 3D/4D ultrasound of our daughter before her actual arrival. The staff was very friendly & informative and the layout of the ultrasound room was also very comforting for the Father. Most doctor's offices stick you in the corner and you have to crane your neck to see the ultrasound TV. Stork had a nice layout and took everyone's comfort into account. You can even record the baby's heartbeat and put it in a stuffed animal for gifts to family members or godparents. read more

I just couldn't wait 3-4 more weeks for the doctor to tell us the gender, so we went to Stork Snapshots. The staff was very friendly and inviting. They took us into the ultrasound room which had nice large flat screen TVs for us to watch the ultrasound. The tech was really great and made us feel comfortable. The ultrasound gel was heated so that was a nice touch! She was able to tell the gender right away, and checked it three times to make sure. We also did the teddybear with the heartbeat recording, so we spent a bunch of time listening to the heartbeat too. Our session was $39 and we got 4 pictures to take home. We just got back from our visit to Stork Snapshots. While I enjoyed being able to see and bond with my baby, the overall experience was not that great. The room that they had us in was very clean and inviting, yet was VERY hot!!! They DID try to turn on the air about 15 minutes into our session but it never did cool down. The person conducting our ultrasound was being trained on using the ultrasound equipment. Now I realize that they need to be able to train people, yet I wish that they had offered to give us a reduced rate, as it was very distracting and not relaxing or allowing us to focus on the baby at all while the two were talking to each other and trying to figure certain things out. The last and final blow to the experience was when they stopped 25 minutes into the session. When you're paying $99 for a 30 minute session, you want to be able to have every minute count. They did oblige when we asked to see the baby for five more minutes, yet then one of the ultrasound techs made a big deal about the baby sleeping and being turned around. Once my wife changed position, this was not even an issue. Please don't say anything, just give me the 5 minutes that I'm paying for! Ultimately, we have pictures of our little one which was our first priority. However, the above issues that I mentioned did not make this experience worth the $99 paid. read more

I found this place by chance and while I've been thrilled to be able to see my baby a few extra times, I would recommend friends (or anyone) shop around for other places who offer these services. Some of the staff was very friendly, others not so accommodating and since this is a vanity ultra sound that we're paying for, you'd think you'd get some good customer service. Also, we have to call them at least 4-5 times just to get an appointment - they NEVER answer their phones, and when they call back its from a blacked number that we often don't answer. Lastly, they seem to be very booked up when we call for our next appointment (we have gone several times because we prepaid for a package and our little one hasn't been cooperating with us seeing her), yet when I go I don't ever see anyone else there. I'm not sure how they expect to stay in business... in theory a nice place and service, but again, if you're looking for the 3D check out other places before getting sucked into this one. read more

Do not waste your money on this place. We went for a gender ultrasound back in July and had no problems. However, we had scheduled a 3D ultrasound for a couple of weeks ago that we were really excited for...and they cancelled our appointment--TWICE. They said the machine was broken and that the tech would be coming in on whatever day...well that day came and went and still no tech had come to fix it. We have friends that this happened to as well and their original appointment was for over a month ago. So, this machine (that they run their business off of) has been broken now for over a month and they don't seem to be rushing to get it fixed. Also, when I called to ask about my second appointment (and I finally got a hold of them after several hours of calling) , they said the computers were down as well. There are plenty of other options for 3D ultrasounds around the area that treat their customers a lot better than Stork Snapshots. No wonder they had Groupons out for their company! read more

OK, first of all i am very upset with how they business operate! I went online to find a place to get a picture of my baby, and it said to call one number which was disconected! so i found another number. I fianlly called and a receptionist answered, I asked info needed, and after I spoke with my husband 5 min later i decided to call back. OMG!!! AWFULL! it said they are open 9-9 daily for taking appts. I called about 17 times and could not get a hold of anyone, no voice mail even. Time was 7:20pm. How awful is that!!! Then i went online again they had an option of contacting them thru internet, i wrote a little note and they SEND buttom is not even working! How can they even have any business?! very very poor operation of the facility. I do not even want to go to that facility anymore, if making an apt is such a horrible experience, it must be even worse in the facility. read more

I really wanted to write positive feedback on this place because they were not terrible they were just ok. The staff was friendly but I felt the appointment a bit rushed because it was the end of the day and they were getting ready to close for the day. Throughout the session it was really hard to see the baby, this was a gender check and I was just a few days shy of being 17 weeks along so it was not a 3D/4D. My regular ultra sound a few weeks prior in my docs office was so much better and clearer. The baby wasn't cooperating I guess but again I couldn't tell because I could see a thing it the screen was so dark. Then a few mins before our session was over she tells us what we are having and says do you see it? Again I didn't see it but believed her becuase she does this for a living. So we left and I felt a little bummed that the experience wasn't what I thought it would be. She pressed on my stomach pretty hard throughout the session so it was a bit uncomfortable and I felt like the appointment was a waste because I left there doubting if the gender was right because I could not see it. Then I find out my coworkers prepaid for my appointment as a gift but I was still charged for the session. I received pictures to show but the gender check picture doesn't show a thing, nothing was labeled on the ultrasound (head, body, butt legs) I guess they expect everyone looking at the ultrasound to know what everything is?? A coworker also went there recently for a gender check and the first session the baby wasn't cooperating. Her 2nd appointment the machine was down, I guess this happens a lot? She was smart though, instead of going back after I shared my experience with her she went to a place in Oak Park. Don't waste your money at this place.. I'm glad I only paid $40 for the experience and would have been furious if I paid full price. Good luck!!! read more

As the other reviewer stated, they canceled on us an hour before our appointment due to their machine being down. Funny thing is I had been calling all morning and afternoon to confirm, and couldn't get anyone to answer their phone. The lady didn't care that we were upset and stated that they only had one phone line and her boss had been on it all day. I was really upset as this was a gender determination scan and had been so excited. According to the other reviewer either their machine breaks a lot or its been broken for a couple weeks and they never bothered to let us know sooner. I have had 2 premium 4D ultrasounds at Stork Snapshots. The first one was when they were located in Naperville. We had a great experience that time. We live out of state, but visited family in the Chicago area, so we decided to go back with our second pregnancy during the visit. This most recent ultrasound was done in the Yorktown shop (Bare Belly Boutique/Stork Snapshots). I called to schedule my appointment, and was told over the phone that there was a special running for a $10 credit (with purchase of a premium ultrasound) that could be used toward the purchase of a CD or DVD from my session. I also inquired about a military discount, after reading one of the testimonials on their website. The woman on the phone told me that they did offer a military discount of 20% (with a military ID), so I would be able to use that as well as the $10 credit. When I showed up at the appointment, the woman at the cash register didn't know about the military discount and said she would have to call the owner to verify. The owner said I could only have 10% discount, and that I could NOT also get the $10 credit. I was upset, but at this point, I had really been looking forward to seeing our daughter's face and couldn't cancel the appointment (without paying a penalty anyway). The ultrasound technician was running late, so we didn't get started right away. The technician also never introduced herself to us by name, and was not friendly with us at all (unlike our first experience in Naperville). We also got about 25 minutes of viewing (like another reviewer here), and the tech said "we are coming up on 30 minutes, so you can sit up and we'll choose your pictures to print". When I went out to pay, they told me I could get the $10 credit, but only to use in the Boutique, and not toward my CD or DVD. Overall, I was very disappointed with the customer service this time around. I would have given only 1 star if it weren't for the photos and DVD of our sweet baby. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience at Stork Snapshots. I felt the staff was not kind and we never got a picture of the baby. Although my baby was uncooperative because her hands and feet were in the way of her face, we really were not able to see anything but a blob (I am 31 weeks). The tech pointed out a toe and a finger at one point but it was difficult to decifer. I felt rushed and the tech kept jiggling my belly and having me move side to side to try to get a picture which was really uncomfortable. I know it's not their fault that the baby was not showing her face, but I felt the staff did not care that we didn't get a picture even though we had already paid. When time was up, they said that I can come back or take the image they got (which was of a blob). Then they told me there is an additional $20 reschedule fee to come back! I assumed it would be no charge to come back if they were not able to get a picture, but I was wrong. I will not pay any additional $$ when there is no guarantee to see my baby. We left empty handed and I cried on the way home because I was so disappointed. I would never recommend this to a friend. read more
