Luckily, I had a friend who was a patient at Dr. Wright's office and recommended I call to check them out. I made sure they were covered by my insurance plan first, and made an appointment. The initial appointment is very thorough, I had a pap, ultrasound, ans testing, and bloodwork done. They made sure my insurance covered it all before I stepped through the door. My consult with the nurse practitioner, Yolanda, was nothing short of amazing! She was personable, smart, funny, and really made sure I understood my options. She's been treating me for the past 6 months, and I feel so much better! I am back to my old self, and feel like a veil that I had been living under has been lifted! No more hip pain, my hair loss has stopped, and I feel energetic and can sleep again. The office is very fancy by my standards. You're offered a beverage when you check in, there's a beverage station in the waiting area, and they offer snacks after the blood draws. Everyone that I've encountered at the office has been so pleasant and I am so thankful to have found this practice. It's been life changing, and I am always recommending it to women my age who are feeling the negative effects of aging.

I refuse to pay each time their "estimated " cost and miraculously I don't end up paying because my insurance covered it like I've said countless times. I have spoken to Joe the director of billing he's rude and argumentative and does t give a clear explanation. It comes off like he's trying to run some fraud with billing. Please beware before you are paying estimated costs. They conveniently never told me the onetime I paid it that my insurance paid it and I had to argue with Joe for my refund. Always let your insurance go through first before you give a dime to this place.

If you like a doctor who is attentive, intelligent, and confident in his skills, Doctor Roth is your man. If you want a doctor with good bedside manner, is funny and makes you laugh, and doesn't make you feel like you're wasting his time, you need to see Dr. Roth. He's always been so kind and willing to answer all my questions (no matter how silly). He constantly reassured me that he would rather I call him about anything than not call at all. He's the only doctor who accurately figured out what was wrong with me after many many doctors. And what's amazing is that he can also do regular women's health things too. So not only do I have a doctor who I can turn to for my OBGYN requests, I have an all around women's health doctor that can answer questions about a flu, an ear ache, skin stuff or give me medication for any of my other issues (thyroid especially). One thing that I really appreciate is that the nurse doesn't just bring you into a cold room, tells you to get undressed, and then the doctor comes in quickly and does his thing. Not in this office! No way! I meet with a nurse, who goes over vitals and instructs me to come sit down in his office. Dr Roth and I talk about my concerns or anything first while in a comfortable setting and then I am instructed to go into a room. It's the little things like that that make my experience here a lot better than at other doctors. Things I appreciate because you don't see doctors take time for their patients like that anymore. So yes, it may take just a little longer than your average appointment, but you feel like you're in good hands. The women at his office are all very kind. They are sweet and make me feel at ease. They never once complain that my son has popped in on a few appointment with me for prenatal things. They get finding a sitter is hard. Dr. Roth also understands and never makes me feel bad about bringing him (he always offers him a sucker with my permission). One time I didn't bring my son with me and he went out of his way to get a sucker and told me to give it to my son when I saw him! "Us boys gotta stick together." He's a great doctor that truly cares about his patients. Go to him!

When I reported a side effect of a particular medication he prescribed, he argued with me that it was not a side effect that ever happened and upon reading the package insert, it was, in fact, a very common side effect. He was just not my type. Very rushed and harried, argumentative and pedantic. Not at all a good listener. His staff is very nice. He is not at all a bad doctor. He is just not at all what I want or need.

Therefore, now I may not even be able to get seen and spend extra money out of pocket in addition to their fees. This is extremely inconvenient. I would like to rate this office higher but cannot…read more I have been a patient of Dr. Spratford's for almost 10 years and will not go anywhere only because of how great he is as an individual. This review though is for the practice as a whole. Time and time again over the years, this office seems to have suffered the problem of getting too large, too quickly, without enough resources. When they did their major additions and upgrades it took them months to get things together. The staff was/is over-worked and there was too much traffic at all times. Outside of that transition time hasn't been better. Getting in touch with your doctor is difficult. You have to call, leave a message, and often, even if you ask for the doctor, you get a call back from the nurse. Then you have to go through the whole process of leaving a message and waiting again. The staff and RN's have repeatedly gotten my recurring prescriptions wrong when communicating with the pharmacy, sometimes costing me dearly (I will say that the office has resolved this for me with their in house pharmacy, but I had to almost demand it). Out of all of that, my biggest complaint about the office is the general lack of attention to detail. For example, if my doctor leaves town, I have to TELL the doctor filling in to check my chart. To me this should be standard operating procedure. How can you answer a question of a patient if you haven't reviewed their file? They are too busy, without enough administrative staff, and it shows in the quality of assistance I get when I'm not with my doctor. (I'm surprised there's a hidden review here that says pretty much the same thing. She is young, probably in her 30s, and just very attentative to me. I've seen doctors in the past who were eager to get you in and out, but Dr. Vaughan takes the time to sit down and listen to what you're going through. My most recent visit was in January '08, the reason I didn't really know. I had had a perpetual throat-clearing/cough for at least a year and I was finally getting it checked out. I did some research, and didn't know if it was allergies, asthma, or GIRD. I went in there, she sat down, and said "This is when I get to be a detective and figure out what's going on with you." I thought that was AWESOME! I was in there for an hour an a half, she was running different tests on me, and we figured out that it's possibly allergy-induced asthma, and definitely some allergy issues. I feel a lot better now that we're getting to the bottom of things, and I would recommend her to anyone! Other notes: I rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting area to go into a room, which is great. Nothing worse than going to the doctor's office and having to sit and wait (especially when you have an appointment!).

He doesn't come off as one of those money-hungry doctors. He's also the only doctor I've seen to carry around a laptop to keep track of all the patients' information. Billing (1 Star): ================ I've had a few billing issues with Fairview Family Practice before and one today. I usually prepay my copay with a credit card at the time of my visit to avoid messy billing issues. Twice, I've paid a $20 copay but still received a $20 copay invoice about a month after my date of service. When I spoke to the receptionist about those invoices, I would find out that my payment was not applied to my account like it should have and was just sitting in their system! They had to manually apply my payment to my account. Today's billing issue really takes the cake though. I paid a $20 copay on the same day of a prior visit and found out later that my copay should have only been $13 to this facility and $7 to a lab based on my insurance claim statements (I don't get insurance claim statements until weeks after my date of service). I called and spoke to a receptionist named Ashley to get a $7 refund so that I can send the payment to the lab. She was incredibly rude and refused to give me a refund even though I told her: --- My insurance claim statement clearly states "Your Copayment Amount $13.00." --- I spoke to an insurance representative, who checked with someone else internally on my claim, and CONFIRMED that my copay is $13. You know when you're on the phone with someone, and you can feel that he or she is rolling his or her eyes at you? There was a pause in the middle of the conversation, and my eyes were squinting from suspicion. Next thing I knew, she handed the call to some other person without telling me (I think Linda? I forget her name because I was so upset at that point). Linda was the exact same way and repeated the exact same thing as Ashley. In the end when we were getting nowhere, Ashley gave me the phone number to their billing department to deal with the issue. I found out after several phone call attempts that she gave me the WRONG phone number. The one she gave me kept ringing without going to voicemail and eventually hung up on me. When I finally got the correct number, I spoke to Ann from their billing department. She was very nice and stated that she will process and mail my refund. She also agreed that Ashley and Linda should not have handled the matter the way they did and suggested that I just call the billing department directly in the future (of course, now I know). LONG STORY SHORT: - Use a credit card instead of cash or checks to make payments (in case you need to refer back or make disputes). - Call the billing department directly at 630-856-6840 instead of talking to the receptionists. - ALWAYS check your claim statements to make sure you pay the correct amount. Overall, I cannot recommend going to this office until they get their billing together.

I called last week because my daughter got sick and they said " we have nothing available until 2 pm"... but when I agreed to come at 2 pm, I heard "....aaaa...we would suggest you to go to the emergency room ". They just don't care about you at all. It looks like they are doing a favor for you, but actually we pay for the service. Don't even consider this practice.
