#Dinner Combo No. 6 snow crab and shrimp

What a fun time! This place is very enjoyable, big portions, and you will leave feeling full and needing a nap! The food came quickly and you get complimentary seafood bread!

Dinner Combo No. 4 , crab house Cajun sauce , heat level -very hot

The food is absolutely amazing . My girlfriend and I come here over another any other seafood boil place!!! The service is good and the vibe is top tier. I recommend ordering the Combo 4 with crab house Cajun ,and depending on your spice tolerance get hot or super hot. This is our go to order. The wings here are great too.

It was so worth it! I wasn't aware the restaurant was tucked away in that corner. But I'll be back for sure. I got the pick two, crawfish and snow crab legs, and it was more than enough food. The eggs, corn, and potatoes were plentiful. So much flavor in the seasoning, although not as spicy, the flavor was amazing.

I went on a Friday night. We got there and were immediately seated since it wasn't busy. It did get busy as we were waiting though. The food took a long time to come out, about an hour. Service has lots of room for improvement. The boudin balls were good. The hush puppies tasted like any other hush puppies I've ever had. I didn't expect the calamari to be only huge rings. They weren't flavorful and were chewy. I wouldn't recommend the calamari. I got combo #4. It was so much seafood! I only ate half of it. It came with lots of shrimp, two clusters of snow crabs, potatoes, corn, sausage, and I swapped crawfish out for clams. I got my combo in crab house Cajun which I thought was salty but it still had good flavor. The spice level I chose was super hot. It was a bearable and enjoyable heat level, which was perfect for me. The seafood was cooked just right too. It wasn't overcooked or undercooked. Prices are fair. They are about the same as other seafood places in Middle Tennessee. By the way, the combo prices aren't on the menu. I'm actually not sure where the prices were, I just went with it.

Madison always surprises me with its hidden gems and the Storming Crab is another one of them. The Storming Crab's boils are incredible. Nashville has always had a drought of seafood. It is typically incredibly expensive or "breaded and fried." Storming Crab is a welcome alternative. The flavors and seafood the Storming Crab put in their boils take you around the U.S.A. to experience regional backyard seafood picnics. It doesn't get any better. Come with friends and eat messy. Of course there is plenty of beer in bottles or draft to go with your seafood selection. Appetizer, boil and beer left us to roll out the door.

I think it was best seafood in my life! Snow crab and oysters- top! Thank you, guys, for magic evening and dinner!

    Freezer Burned Boudin Balls. Terrible

Ordered takeout today from Stormin Crab. Had Boudin Balls and King Crab. As soon as I opened the Boudin Balls I could smell the freezer. Most likely freezer burned. Wasn't going to attempt to eat. My girlfriend ordered the King Crab. We purchased King Crab with corn and potatoes. Opened them up and noticed the King Crab meat had shriveled up, another indication of freezer burn. Since we portion all of our home cooked meals I decided to weigh my King Crab to see if I actually had a pound, which we paid $38.99 a pound. I put the King Crab on the scale and it weighed 12 oz. Yikes! I paid for a pound but got 12 oz. Now when I put the corn and potatoes on, guess what? 1 pound. Shady dealings. Note to the consumer, you're getting ripped off on less than quality product. Definitely not returning.

The food was really great while we ate there! Came out fresh. Seasoned well. Had a good server. Afterwards my stomach was soo upset, couldn't even make it home. I thought it was just me but my friends texted the next day and asked if we got little ill as well. We all had confirmed that we had some bubbly guts or upset stomach. I'm willing to go back and hope this was like a one time thing cause the food was great but it was definitely unpleasant afterwards.

Can you choose what you want in your boil bag or do you have to pick from the pre-selected combos?

Yes! You can substitute some of the seafood in a pre-selected combo or you can build your own.

Is it all u can eat crab legs?

No, it isn't all you can eat but it is ALOT of food. It will be enough for you to eat there and take home.

    What are the menu prices?

A little expensive for lunch, but average for seafood and dinner. $20-$30 per person average.

Overall, the flavor felt more oil/butter-based than seasoned throughout the seafood, especially compared with similar seafood spots. Since everything comes pre-seasoned, there's also very little customization. My mom can't have salt or pepper and normally gets plain seafood with butter, but that wasn't an option here. The restaurant itself is clean and nice, but the food was not worth nearly $100 for two platters. I had considered trying this place before and noticed it was always empty. The quesadilla was delicious, well cooked and packed with the goods! Of course before the main, I started with a small queso. The queso was bland and a bit thick for my liking. The complimentary salsa was also nothing special. They both got the job done, but were just okay. The space is small, one large dining room featuring a variety of table setups along with a small bar in the back corner. No frills space, which is duplicated in their food. Service was friendly and timely. Place was clean and well kept. Overall, Pueblo Viejo is a solid 3.5 for me. Happy to go back and enjoy a meal, but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

No reservation? Don't worry, you may be able to grab a seat at the beautiful bar when you walk in. The atmosphere is fantastic. There's great music playing softly in the background, and as you look around, you realize you're dining inside a beautifully renovated old warehouse. Here's a little inside history: the building was once used to make handles for old hammers and axes. Look closely at some of the beams and you can actually see the hammer marks! Okay, enough history, let's talk drinks! I started with an Old Fashioned made with Sazerac Rye Bourbon. It was very good and served with clear ice, which is always a good sign. My only complaint? They used a red cherry instead of a Maraschino cherry. They definitely need to step up their Old Fashioned game! They also made a great Dirty Martini, or as I like to call it, a "Dirty & Skanky Martini." Now for the food! We started with the Spanish Octopus, which was absolutely delicious. The Bluefin Belly was very good, and the Corn-Milk Hush Puppies were SOOOO good! We also tried the Summer Squash, which was another great addition to the meal. For my entrees, I went with the Wild Striped Bass, WOW! Amazing flavor, and check out the Jonah Crab on top! I also tried the Grilled Swordfish with Brisket Marmalade, and that was another winner. The combination of flavors was fantastic! And I have to give a big shout-out to the service. Everyone was amazing, attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly knew the menu inside and out. If you're visiting Nashville, or you live here, put this place on your list! Great atmosphere, creative seafood dishes, excellent service, and some really memorable food. I'll definitely be back!
