Reyes Mexican, food 3.5/5 ! Severe 2.5/ 5! We enjoyed the food! Serves could have been better. Clean environment! I will be back!!

Family owned with wonderful ambiance and delicious food. Service was friendly and very warm. The live music was great, sports on the TV's with beautiful art on the walls. Special brunch on Sundays, though we went for dinner-can't wait to go back. Ask for Jose or Elizabeth-both delightful. PS their grand opening was this weekend so hoping for lots of support to make this a great and permanent local spot!

The wife and I were searching for a spot for lunch over in East Nashville. We reviewed our options and went to Bite a Bit, but found that they were not open until 430pm. We searched Yelp to find Reyes Mexican Restaurant off Dickerson Pike. The one review for the first person to post one was pretty good. We headed that was as the restaurant also seemed to be new to the Eastside. We made a pack that if we unimpressed with the outside of the restaurant we would head to the always great El Fuego off of Gallatin Pike. Once we arrived at 130 pm were please to see that the restaurant was very pleasing to the eye and the lunch crowd had just started to let let out. We saw a large contingent of a child's birthday party leaving and a lot of people with smiles on their faces. We parked in the ample parking area and walked in. We were immediately welcomed in and seated with menus. The co-owner Julio was our server and was great. Julio advised that the meat in the fajitas were locally sourced as his partners family owned a processing plant in Knoxville that delivered the meat weekly. I asked where he purchased his oysters and he advised that he received them on Mondays and Thursday from company that shipped from New York. As I am a Rhode Islander I seldom have chance to get oysters so that made me order 6 on the half shell (picture attached) the oysters cold and fresh. The order came with avocado whipped dipping sauce and crackers. The ceviche app was unbeatable and a huge serving to boot. We couldn't get enough so I ordered the fajitas and the wife got the taco salad. Obviously we had to get a box as we ordered way more then we would should have. The food was great and the home made hot sauce was perfect. What a great place and for only being in business for 4 months they seem to be killing it! I advised Julio to be ready for the invasion as this place is legitimate authentic Mexican food at its best!!!

Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the too sweet cocktail sauce. Bartender was great and they make a perfect martini as well. Mike: I'm torn here with my favorite oysters from Seaworthy in NOLA. I'm a sucker for good oysters and mignonette sauce and these were on point giving an easy 5 for the review! The lobster roll was amazing, but those are Rox's jam, not as much mine. You walk in and can see the raw bar and part of the kitchen. All of the staff welcomed us in and were very friendly. The restaurant feels like a fish market with the open concept. I liked how it was nice and high quality food and drinks, without being too fancy. That makes it so much easier to enjoy a good meal without dressing to the Ts. I opted out of getting a drink this time, but they had three Floyd's canned beer which my boyfriend ordered. It was good and they did serve it with a glass which is always appreciated. We both ordered the grouper sandwich (mine with no bun) and then shared the hamachi crudo. The crudo was delicious, but the hibiscus sauce was slightly over powering in my opinion. I really liked the sauce, I just prefer to be able to taste the fish a little bit more. The fish itself was very good. The group was huge! (Yes we both ate the entire thing). That "Florida sauce" they serve with it is a game changer. Might have to order more to go next time. Definitely will be back to Fishmonger! This time with a reservation!

With a 4.77 aggregate rating across all user-driven platforms and nearly 1,700 reviews to date, Krustaceans is much better on paper than it is in reality, a very overrated restaurant! As the highest-rated seafood joint on the entirety of Highway 70 across the America, it simply did not live up to the hype as I passed through Nashville. Perhaps I should have ordered crab or shrimp or some other boiled seafood which seems to be more of their specialty. But the fish and chips caught my attention. Beware, these aren't the fish and chips you'll find in the UK or the Northeastern United States. Instead of a crisp, beer-battered exterior, this is more like a catfish breading. And it's not bad, but it's just very different than the name would imply. The batter is probably too salty, but the fish is very fresh! The Cajun fries are horribly mediocre. They're definitely just frozen fries from a local supermarket with an uninspiring spice mix. The employees didn't seem very welcoming either, which was kind of sad since I was excited to be there. It's not a bad meal at all, but the ratings are way higher than they should be! If you're haphazardly shelling out five-star reviews, you've probably never had real seafood on the coast and have only inflated the truth for online viewers. Don't expect too much out of Krustaceans, hope for a decent meal, and you won't be disappointed.

No reservation? Don't worry, you may be able to grab a seat at the beautiful bar when you walk in. The atmosphere is fantastic. There's great music playing softly in the background, and as you look around, you realize you're dining inside a beautifully renovated old warehouse. Here's a little inside history: the building was once used to make handles for old hammers and axes. Look closely at some of the beams and you can actually see the hammer marks! Okay, enough history, let's talk drinks! I started with an Old Fashioned made with Sazerac Rye Bourbon. It was very good and served with clear ice, which is always a good sign. My only complaint? They used a red cherry instead of a Maraschino cherry. They definitely need to step up their Old Fashioned game! They also made a great Dirty Martini, or as I like to call it, a "Dirty & Skanky Martini." Now for the food! We started with the Spanish Octopus, which was absolutely delicious. The Bluefin Belly was very good, and the Corn-Milk Hush Puppies were SOOOO good! We also tried the Summer Squash, which was another great addition to the meal. For my entrees, I went with the Wild Striped Bass, WOW! Amazing flavor, and check out the Jonah Crab on top! I also tried the Grilled Swordfish with Brisket Marmalade, and that was another winner. The combination of flavors was fantastic! And I have to give a big shout-out to the service. Everyone was amazing, attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly knew the menu inside and out. If you're visiting Nashville, or you live here, put this place on your list! Great atmosphere, creative seafood dishes, excellent service, and some really memorable food. I'll definitely be back!

We got the pork chop medium well bc we like our pork more cooked bc ain't no one trying to get salmonella from undercooked pork. But it was sooo good, has a nice char on the outside, and perfectly seasoned. Additionally, it sits on top of a bed of allegedly "rice" according to our server. But to me, it reminded me of a tendon brisket texture. I would've bet money on it too. But delicious with sweet peach sauce that came with it. For the prime rib, it was a huge cut of meat, but it was lacking flavor, needed some more salt and some rosemary to bring out the meat. Both main dishes can serve 2 people each, so worth the price and food. Definitely come back! And a shout out to our server Cole, who was great
