Price: actually pretty decent IMO. Then again I'm comparing to similar places I've been to in California and the Pacific Northwest so my opinion might be invalid. Example: spent $300.00+ in Portland for the best flavors I've ever tasted. Spent $150.00 here for same thing but flavor wasn't comparable. Flavor: 3 out of 5 for me because I've had better. Keep in mind the spice level is not Asian spicy level. We had the Cajun medium spice and it was at like a 1 out of 5 in spiciness. Service: Was good and waitress was attentive. Bathroom: thank god it was clean. I hate public restrooms but at least theirs was clean. Ambience: typical crab boil restaurant. Walls were signed by past patrons in permanent marker. As a frequent traveler I seem to highly depend on yelp and found this little gem.. Nothing better than a crab/shrimp boil wth your coworker who will forever see you with shrimp shells filled hands and crab meat between your fingers...or in your hair if you don't know how to crack crab legs . It was a fun experience, the staff was very attentive and super helpful in explaining menu items. I would only say that the drinks were unfortunately very weak...I ordered a white peach sangria and felt like I was drinking straight up orange juice, which I have to say did not go well with a spicy crab boil - other than the drinks, I recommend it for a casual dining experience. read more

Very good steamed bag seafood. Options for flavors....... I choose cajun. They also give heat options. I choose very hot, it's not extremely hot, just the perfect spice. So the restaurant is brand new, just a month or two, so its clean and nice. The bartender was very friendly. The only downside to the dinner was how long it took after ordering to get our food. It was 45 minutes or more. Food is delicious, but the long wait is why it gets 4 stars. read more

I really enjoyed this spot. We had the crab legs, sausage, scallops, and shrimp, with medium Cajun sauce, and everything was delicious, flavorful, and filling for two people. They even gave us a complimentary seafood bread appetizer, and while it was slightly greasy, I appreciated the hospitality, and it was tasty. The only slight downside is that they don't have a liquor license, so no hard alcohol, but there was a good selection of beer and a couple of ciders, so all is definitely not lost. Oh, I also loved the cute but functional bibs they provided and that you got both crackers and pickers for the crab legs...gloves too, so they make sure you have everything you need to get the job done without looking like a toddler after self-feeding. I ordered the fried cod fish it came with five 1in squares of fish on a large bed of fries the taste was good but the portion of fish would probably equal to about 1/3 fillet ' One of my large complaints is that they didn't have any condiments on the table, you had to ask for each one & when it arrived the portion was very small. the waitress was very good. We r always up for trying a new restaurant. And a Cajun seafood place during Mardi Gras? We were all in!! Arrived at 1230p. Was greeted at the front door and were seated immediately at a table near a door which was leaking cold air from outside. We asked to b moved (there were plenty of other tables open) and were told the host would come move us. After 10 min and no host, we went and found him and asked for another table. We were re-seated in a much more comfortable location (no longer had ice cold draft at our feet!!). The waitress was nice enough and knew her way thru the menu. We placed our order. I got gumbo and the fried shrimp basket. Husband ordered jambalaya and the fried gator tail basket. The gumbo and jambalaya came out of kitchen quite quickly. The gumbo appeared watered down and was over salted. The jambalaya contained a half dozen shrimp that were very over cooked (or at the very least, were over held). Then our baskets were served. My shrimp appeared to b what one would buy off the Schwan's truck. No freshly breaded shrimp here. Husbands gator tail was tasty. The French fries were not crispy and were not very hot. Husband requested the Cajun seasoning on his fries -- and said it added little flavor. After the tip, our lunch was $45 with no alcohol. A hefty price in my opinion for marginal quality food. Really have been craving a good boil bag. Being from Florida I really miss the fresh seafood and unlimited access to it. Was choosing between a place closer to Nashville and Storming Crab. Storming Crab had better ratings all around so we chose to take the 20 minute drive. We were seated right away and had our order in within ten minutes. We had seafood bread and combo #4 w/ mild Cajun seasoning. It was all delicious and came out very quickly. We will be back again very soon. Looking forward to climbing our way up the spice ranks. It was fairly priced the #4 was about $50 and got me and my girlfriend stuffed! So good! Nashville isn't known for its seafood and the only options in Nashville are either chains or expensive upscale places. Those are nice, but sometimes you just want good seafood without the froofroo extras. Storming crab is as good as the local restaurants I grew up with in Florida. The wait wasn't long at all, the staff was very good, the decor was well done, and the food was hot and delicious. Yeah, it's not cheap, but good seafood shouldn't be. For the amount you get and the quality, the price was well worth it. Definitely would recommend it to anyone who loves a good seafood boil. The combo with dungeness crab was so good.
