Stopped in for the first time on a slow Thanksgiving weekend for dinner. It won't be our last visit. All the staff were friendly and responsive. The BBQ sandwich was both moist and flavorful and the six pack of sauces were delicious and fun to experiment with. Only issue was the bun didn't hold together very well, but that's what forks are for. Paired this with a cider on tap which I wish I could remember which it was because enjoyed it a lot. We also had the street tacos, advertised as a local favorite. I was hesitant because, you know, feta on a taco? What a pleasant surprise! They'll be on our table again soon. Anxious to be in town for rib night sometime soon. Oh no. As I mentioned in November I was looking forward to coming back. That happened today and it was certainly not the same experience. Perhaps the waitress ignoring ours and another table which arrived in quick succession to have a personal conversation with a bar patron should have been a clue. We got up and found our own menus, then the other table did the same. Still she made no acknowledgement of our presence while conducting the personal conversation. Then, we were informed there was no potato salad because the head cook was sick. Ok, 2nd clue missed. Then the food came out. I knew from my previous visit there were a nice selection of sauces available. I had to request them this time. Good thing I knew to ask. My pulled pork was not warmed through and the tacos, well, had no meats in them. Really, now, how hard is it to make a taco? Back to the kitchen they went as I finished up my sandwich. And we waited, and waited. Another server came by and asked if she could clear the table. When I said we were still waiting for the missing meal, she said "Oh" and walked away with the empty basket from my meal. No, "Oh, I'm sorry. Let me check on that for you." or anything of the sort. More waiting and no food ever showed. The original waitress, now apologetic, rang me up after some confusion and we were gone. One fed. One not. And a 4.5 hour drive ahead. I'm so disappointed. The service orientation and training here is sorely lacking. Yes it's a brewery, but that doesn't excuse this level of service fail. Please pay some attention to how the front of the house is working and remember to put the meat in your tacos before serving them. read more

I found it very disappointing to go to a smoke.house and they had no.smoked.meata available. The service was good, Mindy was awesome. But really? Your main draw is smoked meats and you cut it off so I can have a freaking three hot dog platter and bread for 28$. Also, one of the best items that I loved from this place was their smoked chicken and they have completely taken it off the menu. Disappointing to say the least. I know times are hard but that's rediculous. Also, had to listen to some guy spewing profanity and f bombs every other sentence in front of children no less. You guys have gone way down from the brilliant start that you had. Lastly, there is not a single sweet bbq sauce to be had. You're mango bbq and sweet sauce were awesome. Trying to find a place in Chelan was a bit tricky as there were quite a few restaurants not open on a Wed. We were looking for a great burger. The Stormy Mountain Brewery was recommended. It did not disappoint. Our friends had the barbequed brisket tacos and we had the barbequed brisket sandwich. Both were fabulous. Our sandwich came with the best french fries ever! Sliced thin and fried to perfection. Loved the basket of different barbeque sauces on the table. Try it, you'll love it! read more

Second time here and enjoyed both visits a lot. Hubby loves the Slide Ridge Copper Cream Ale. Friend ordered some food he enjoyed and this time we got the chips with chorizo queso, very flavorful and a great appetizer for sharing. Love how they have booth seating, bar tables, and couches. The reviews for the most part are on point. This place is alright but not amazing. Our food was ok. The problem was that my kids didn't get their food until I had almost already finished mine. Some places you walk into look like a barn and it's cute and homely. This place looks like a barn to serve as a warning not to eat the food. Came in with my family or I would have just left. Ordered a pretzel with cheese for an appetizer. It came as a pretzel flavored rock with "cheese" goop. Waste of $7. Ordered chicken tacos, aptly named the Stormy Taco, cause it was a storm. The same way a hurricane leaves a disaster in its path, so did these tacos. Messy, falling apart, juices running everywhere. Glad there was an extra fork at the table cause I needed that to eat it. The chicken was incredibly bland as were all the toppings of the taco. My two year olds christmas cookies she made tasted better than anything I had here. At least the water was free... read more

Excellent food. My family of 3 split the brisket tacos the pulled pork platter and the sausage plate. Fantastic choices. The pork came naked and we were able to apply the different sauces to different bites. The mild was the best and also was great with the tacos. Watch out for one of the sausages as it is very spicy on its own. Seating is tough for parties over 4 unless you are willing to squeeze into a booth or sit high in bar stool tables. read more

Food was OK, drinks were great, but the service was shockingly bad. Our group even interacted with a few different staff members and all of them were rude, seemed annoyed by our presence, and treated us like we were an inconvenience. I had the Hef beer on tap, it was really good. My friend had the cider on tap and it was delicious. I chose the BBQ platter for dinner. The brisket was kind of dry, but slathered with their BBQ sauce, it was OK. The corn bread was dry and "meh." I also tried my friend's beer bread - it was very hard on the bottom and didn't have much flavor. In the end, I'd go somewhere else unless you want to deal with the rude servers for some good beer/cider. read more

Came on a weekend for dinner. The staff were very nice and helped us get seated quickly. There was live music that night, which was cool, but also made it very hard to us to have conversations (even though we were seated quite far from the band). The customer service was great; a friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant had a good vibe and was very spacious, with a good temperature. I cannot say for the whole menu, but the food seemed mediocre, which is where the star-rating above comes into play. I had a bratwurst and coleslaw and neither one really impressed me. If you like good food and terrible service, this is the place for you! The staff is very snotty and forgetful. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt after seeing that they were understaffed, but that's no excuse to perform poorly at your job. We sat for a solid 45 minutes after finishing our food to pay our checks and when we asked if we could pay, we just got a "give me a minute." I loved the laidback atmosphere of this place. The food was amazing! I highly recommend the beer bread. My husband didn't love the bbq sauce, but everything else was great. You order at the bar, which I wasn't expecting but it was actually nice to have already paid so we could just take off after. Ok the good. The beer was ice cold served in a frosted glass. Loved it. The bad: Wished I would not have ordered food. Had the brat sandwich and a burger with fries( if you could call them that). The food was very disappointing and the fries were over cooked and served cold.. we didn't eat them and there server said " I didn't think they looked that good". Mediocre food, lousy service and a small beer selection left me unimpressed with this place. Thinking a brewery in a vacation town had to be halfway decent to exist, I was sorely mistaken. Our group of 7 was treated like second-class citizens the moment we walked in. I had to personally serve my friends water glasses (and refill them multiple times), our waitress had such a big chip on her shoulder I thought she might tip over, and we were left with a fat bill to split by ourselves with long-hand division on a back of a napkin. It was obvious they didn't want us there, the food and beer sucked, and we all left with a bad taste in our mouth. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Great place to stop for pub fare and local brews!

My boyfriend and I stopped by Chelan for a couple nights over the weekend and wandered into Stormy Mountain Brewery. It was pretty quiet and decided to sit at the bar. We were greeted by Sean who made our night!! He's extremely knowledgeable with everything they had on tap and made it fun to learn about. He suggested we try the tacos and really liked both the chicken verde and the pork. We'll definitely stop by and see Sean again. I recommend doing the beer flights so you can try them all. This place has good food, definitely, but the atmosphere and staff is a bit of a swing and a miss. I asked our server which beer of theirs they recommend and he completely steered me away to other beers. No pride in their beer at all. Which was disappointing. I ended up getting their porter and it wasn't bad, i dont know why they wouldn't talk themselves up more. The server at the table next to us was making a scene trying to divide their tabs up between four people. Like actually making a scene about it. For me, it was more of an atmosphere and staff issue than anything. Good food, good beer (considering it's one of only two? breweries in this area) but their staff needs a revamping for sure. A LOT of potential, especially with their location and open space! Go here! But don't keep your expectations too high. read more

100% a place to come in and enjoy a local bear and a great snack or food whichever you are looking for. Outdoor seating if you have a pup or would rather smell the fresh air. Not a huge fan of bar food but their tacos were delicious as well as their beers on tap! You defiantly need to try this place! Their street tacos were delicious! Our waiter forgot to bring us the sauces (first time here we didn't know there were sauces) until our last taco.
