Cute little coffee shop off the main street with views of the mountains. Super friendly staff delivering coffee, baked goods and breakfast items to the table. The Mac Nut Ube Latte and freshly baked Everything Bagel with cream cheese was perfect for a Sunday morning with a view.

Driving through Paia on our road to Hāna adventure and needed to stop for coffee. On the main route there weren't any obvious coffee shops but we lucked into finding Story. The drinks were tasty and the menu offered a variety to choose from but it was the people that made it remarkable. The stag was friendly and welcoming and the patrons were enjoying the morning in what appeared to be their favorite shop. A few artists engaged in conversation near others focused on their laptops but all seemed like they were at home. Complete with the laid back island vibe, there were art pieces for sale as well as a corner of eclectic items from local artisans. We enjoyed it so much we made a return trip before departing the island.

Cute coffee shop with breakfast options! We stopped by for breakfast bagels (vegetarian) - delicious! I also got the smoothie bowl and it was also great! The matcha was pretty good too - my husband got a cold brew / iced coffee. Plenty of indoor seating options Service was quick and food came out in 10 minutes or so!

One of the earlier coffee shops open in the morning! Got a drip at 7:30am then back 2 hours later to buy a bag of beans and the bagel sandwhich (sourdough bagels!). Sandwhich was unique and delicious and good seating options. Would come back to try the açaí bowl.

came in on the way to twin falls. small shop in Paia. opens at 7am. the ladies working here were so sweet with great suggestions. coffee was strong and smooth. there was little boutiques inside for swim wear and jewelry along with unique art work for sale. upbeat music that was the perfect tempo and volume to get you in the right head space. Decent prices , and did I say delicious coffee?

This was our last morning coffee run before heading to the airport to finalize our Hawaii trip. We walked in and immediately noticed the chill vibe this cafe had to offer. They also had a clothing rack section with super unique finds. The staff were super friendly and I wish we had more time to just lounge. I'm a matcha girly but I was hesitant on ordering the Thin Mint Matcha--however, I was quickly convinced that it's a good option. She wasn't wrong, super delicious and the mint isn't too overpowering. I had never had a matcha latte with this flavor so it was different for sure. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the Paia area!

Caramel coconut cold brew and iced latte

Stopped here before heading on the road to Hana. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the best coffee I've ever had (and I am a huge self proclaimed coffee snob). I got the caramel coconut cold brew and my partner got an iced latte. I'm not even a huge fan of coconut and I swear this coffee was incomparable to anything I've ever had. I also got the banana almond butter toast. It was fresh, tasty, and also left a long lasting impression. The shop itself is super cute and clean. The baristas are so kind as well! If you are in Maui this is a must!!!

Quaint little coffee house in downtown Paia. Good local flavors, friendly staff, open space.

We tried their Bullet latte and Caramel Haupia, both were excellent. Their bagel sandwich was exactly what I needed to get the day going. The service was great, specially being greeted by Cortez the orange cat on our way in.

Wonderful customer service from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine smiles and positive energy. The staff was patient, helpful, and clearly cared about the experience they were providing. My coffee was amazing, smooth, rich, and perfectly made. You can tell quality matters here. The atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed, making it a great place to enjoy a drink. Overall an easy 10 out of 10 and I will absolutely be back again very soon for sure always.

Amazing coffee! I'm so happy we stopped for a Carmel latte before heading up north. The service was also really great, plenty of parking when we arrived. Very comfortable space here to chill.

Really enjoyed this spot. I love the theme & got to leave my honeymoon wishes on the story book they have on the table. I really loved the bagel, coffee was alright. People were sweet! Will come back just to read the book filled with stories!

Great location right in the town of Pia'a, simple decor with focus on sandwiches, smoothies, gelato and more. Staff was very friendly and eager to take care of you immediately entering the store. Natalie was very helpful and pleasant and even had a few tips about the Road to Hana. We opted to grab and go our picnic packages and eat them once we arrived at Waianapanapa State Park. The sandwiches were so good, fresh local ingredients prepared with passion, the rolls were fresh and soft. Meats were extremely tasty and plenty of it. The caboose to this flavor train was the house made chocolate chip cookie, soft and decadent with a great way to end our lunch. Great concept and so convenient and reasonably priced. So if you are doing the "Road" stop in and grab the picnic package or if you are visiting Pia'a to do some surfing at Jaws you gotta stop in and get you some of this food. You won't be disappointed. Trust me, nothing tastes better than icy melted water after hiking around waterfalls -- iykyk. The staff here was so warm and welcoming. One helpful worker not only prepped our order but shared her favorite stops and insider tips for the drive. However, when you have to wipe the dust off of your dipping bow and plate, that kinda concerns me. The outdoor tables are located under a tree. Who knows where the "dust" came from. Strike 1. The ahi that was served with the salad was warm. Never had sashimi served warm (and with salt n pepper on it). Kinda scared me, but we still ate it. I truly regret this. Strike 2. The steak was delicious though. Tender and cooked perfectly. The sauce was also delicious. I believe it was a tomato-based sauce and as well as chimichurri. My husband and I shared our plates with each other. We both ended up with painful, upset stomachs that night. Strike 3.

Unfortunately, there were no oysters. It was actually a bit tough to find a place with oysters in Maui (shoutout to Fleetwood's). It was perfect because we ended up just wanting a light dinner, and this restaurant has tapas and small portions. Not a bang for your buck, by any means, though. I was a bit bummed because I wanted a specific appetizer (similar to a wagyu beef tataki), but they did not have it. Instead, I got the hamachi carpaccio, which was still good. I also ordered a spicy rainbow roll. You could tell that the fish was very fresh on top, but the roll itself was just decent. Not worth the $25 and it was also not spicy. I think my favorite food item was the karaage. It was crispy, tender and the sauce was the cherry on top. I am looking at the menu and I realize that a lot of these cocktails are new, which is another bummer because I would have loved to try all of them (guava mojito, spicy lilikoi mezcalita and vana colada -- yes please!) The restaurant itself is so cute! There is definitely a rustic vibe to it. It could look like a treehouse because there's a big tree in the middle and string lights. It is an outdoor restaurant, and there is an extended outdoor section as well that has a little more secluded feel. There's a bar area, but it is a bit small.
