Cute little coffee shop off the main street with views of the mountains. Super friendly staff delivering coffee, baked goods and breakfast items to the table. The Mac Nut Ube Latte and freshly baked Everything Bagel with cream cheese was perfect for a Sunday morning with a view.

Driving through Paia on our road to Hāna adventure and needed to stop for coffee. On the main route there weren't any obvious coffee shops but we lucked into finding Story. The drinks were tasty and the menu offered a variety to choose from but it was the people that made it remarkable. The stag was friendly and welcoming and the patrons were enjoying the morning in what appeared to be their favorite shop. A few artists engaged in conversation near others focused on their laptops but all seemed like they were at home. Complete with the laid back island vibe, there were art pieces for sale as well as a corner of eclectic items from local artisans. We enjoyed it so much we made a return trip before departing the island.

Cute coffee shop with breakfast options! We stopped by for breakfast bagels (vegetarian) - delicious! I also got the smoothie bowl and it was also great! The matcha was pretty good too - my husband got a cold brew / iced coffee. Plenty of indoor seating options Service was quick and food came out in 10 minutes or so!

One of the earlier coffee shops open in the morning! Got a drip at 7:30am then back 2 hours later to buy a bag of beans and the bagel sandwhich (sourdough bagels!). Sandwhich was unique and delicious and good seating options. Would come back to try the açaí bowl.

came in on the way to twin falls. small shop in Paia. opens at 7am. the ladies working here were so sweet with great suggestions. coffee was strong and smooth. there was little boutiques inside for swim wear and jewelry along with unique art work for sale. upbeat music that was the perfect tempo and volume to get you in the right head space. Decent prices , and did I say delicious coffee?

This was our last morning coffee run before heading to the airport to finalize our Hawaii trip. We walked in and immediately noticed the chill vibe this cafe had to offer. They also had a clothing rack section with super unique finds. The staff were super friendly and I wish we had more time to just lounge. I'm a matcha girly but I was hesitant on ordering the Thin Mint Matcha--however, I was quickly convinced that it's a good option. She wasn't wrong, super delicious and the mint isn't too overpowering. I had never had a matcha latte with this flavor so it was different for sure. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the Paia area!

Caramel coconut cold brew and iced latte

Stopped here before heading on the road to Hana. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the best coffee I've ever had (and I am a huge self proclaimed coffee snob). I got the caramel coconut cold brew and my partner got an iced latte. I'm not even a huge fan of coconut and I swear this coffee was incomparable to anything I've ever had. I also got the banana almond butter toast. It was fresh, tasty, and also left a long lasting impression. The shop itself is super cute and clean. The baristas are so kind as well! If you are in Maui this is a must!!!

We tried their Bullet latte and Caramel Haupia, both were excellent. Their bagel sandwich was exactly what I needed to get the day going. The service was great, specially being greeted by Cortez the orange cat on our way in.

Wonderful customer service from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine smiles and positive energy. The staff was patient, helpful, and clearly cared about the experience they were providing. My coffee was amazing, smooth, rich, and perfectly made. You can tell quality matters here. The atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed, making it a great place to enjoy a drink. Overall an easy 10 out of 10 and I will absolutely be back again very soon for sure always.

Amazing coffee! I'm so happy we stopped for a Carmel latte before heading up north. The service was also really great, plenty of parking when we arrived. Very comfortable space here to chill.

Really enjoyed this spot. I love the theme & got to leave my honeymoon wishes on the story book they have on the table. I really loved the bagel, coffee was alright. People were sweet! Will come back just to read the book filled with stories!

I had heard about the Maui Cookie Lady cookies in early 2016 and knew that I had to get one the next time we visited. At that time, the cookies were only available at various local markets that would get a delivery once or twice a week. There was no dedicated retail store then. In November 2016, it finally happened! I was able to find a small supply of Mitzi's, the Maui Cookie Lady's, cookies at the Market Maui (since closed). My first cookie was Da Half Baked - a chocolate chip cookie stuffed with Reese's, Snickers, AND Oreo! OMG...only a super creative cookie chef extraordinaire could have imagined such a delight! I knew that I would be a fan forever!! On every subsequent trip, I sought out the amazing cookies. It wasnʻt always easy to find them, as the batches were small and offered in very limited locations. I would be on a mission and never gave up until I found them. My friends and co-workers were always so excited when I brought them back a "world-famous Maui Cookie Lady" cookie when I returned from Maui. In late 2020, the year after my last trip to Maui, the Maui Cookie Lady opened up a retail shop in Makawao. I haven't been able to stop by in person yet, but I will be going the next time I visit. I tell all my friends about the cookies, and several have been able to stop by the cute shop. When I am lucky, a friend will bring back some ono cookies for me. The Maui Cookie Lady cookies are not like most of the cookies you are used to eating. The first thing that you will notice is that they are really big!! I like to say that they are "gargantuan"! The second thing is that they are made with creative ingredients that may be familiar to you, or they may be new. Many of the varieties incorporate local ingredients lilikoi, Kona coffee, and macadamia nuts. The combination of flavors will excite any cookie loverʻs taste buds. Donʻt worry if you are not local to stop by the shop in person. You can order cookies online, individually or via the monthly subscription box. If you are visiting and want to take a few home with you, know that they can be frozen and stay great when you want to enjoy them. They do not contain preservatives, which I think is a big plus. In addition to creating great cookies, Mitzi is a big supporter of the community. She helps with various fundraising efforts to help those in Maui. As a former teacher, she is connected to educators in Hawaiʻi and their special needs. Once I get back to Maui, I will visit the store and update this review. I can't wait!

We were heading back from a sunrise at Haleakalā when I decided to check Yelp for good nearby coffee places and this popped up, so we headed on over. This coffee shop is on Baldwin Ave in Makawao and the inside is pretty large with lots of seating. They also have a display case with baked goods over by where you order. After looking over the menu I ultimately decided on one of their specials, a cherry vanilla latte, which I don't think I have seen before in a coffee. After only a couple of minute wait, I had my latte and was out the door. My coffee here ended up tasting really good, almost like a cherry vanilla ice cream. The cherry flavor came first and that was followed by the sweet vanilla. While I know the coffee was there, it got lost a bit with the cherry vanilla flavoring. Still, I enjoyed it. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. A cherry vanilla latte is a new combo for me, but I enjoyed it and only wish the espresso was a bit more pronounced.
