West Side local here -- this place is a gem and worth hyping and blowing up so that they have lines for days. Seriously so good. It's a coffee truck run by a local family, perfectly made to order drinks!! You won't be disappointed. Even better, its a drive thru. You want something to go along with your drink, they have local made savory and sweet treats to go along with your order. Tip: There are no flashy signs to really show you they are open, but know that they are!! Support local, always. read more

Such a treat! Discovered this gem on our second day on Maui (of 7) and went daily. Amazing and kind owners! Great staff. My daily fix was a triple shot coconut milk iced latte with two pumps of macadamia syrup. A must try is the goat cheese and caramelized onion scone, along with the daily fresh banana breads. Wow! I may need to drive to Lahaina more often! Stoped here early Sunday morning as we were staying in Kaanapali for my daughter's 18th birthday. There was a coffee spot right next to our hotel with high reviews but decided to drive and give this new spot a try and we are so glad we did! Needed my morning coffee fix and my daughter and her friends wanted matcha. I had a white chocolate and mac nut mocha and my husband had a white chocolate and honey mocha. Their shot pull on their espresso was perfection. Not bitter. Not burnt. SPOT ON. We travel the world often and always start our day with a good cup of coffee. Yes we are a bit of coffee snobs. Coffee Stops espresso based drinks were on par with some of the best we have had. Yaw Coffee in Las Vegas is one of our all time faves! We also frequent First Wave in Kahului 1-2x per week. If we lived in Lahaina I can confidently tell you we would be here a few times a week (I have my own espresso machine at home along with a grinder and scale and I still would purchase my coffee here haha!) We wanted to stop by on our way back home to Wailuku because their coffee was that good but it was too late and they were closed. I can't speak to their latte art, coffee was so good and we took it to go so I didn't open up the lid- but if you want good quality coffee go here. Matcha was good too! (Didn't ask if it was ceremonial grade, we travel to Japan often and love Uji Matcha from Kyoto (my daughter loves Matcha) and she said it was good so I am assuming they use pretty high quality matcha and not that powdered fake stuff. read more

Best coffee in town, you can taste the coffee in every sip. The quality of the coffee is extremely good. I got an iced vanilla latte and it was the best one I had my entire trip. My partner got the cold brew and it was a hit as well! We get coffee daily while on vacation and The Coffee Stop delivered plus once we ordered they were fast. Drive through only but line moves quick. We will definitely be driving through again when we are in the area next and have already told our family try you guys! read more

I love how this is a drive thru. I arrived around 10:15a on a Tuesday, and was 4th in line. The woman at the window was super nice. She had great customer service. I came here for the first time and ordered an iced chai latte w/ oat milk, a caramelized onion & goat cheese scone, a lemon & lilikoi scone, and a cinnamon roll. The pastries were slightly warm which was appreciated. The iced chai latte was very watery and needed more oat milk. It tasted like a tiny splash of milk went into a full cup of tea. I would personally make a chai concentrate then add more milk to it. I wouldn't order this again. Both of the scones were like a biscuit consistency. They weren't dry, but not super moist either. The caramelized onion & goat cheese scone was my favorite. The goat cheese is mixed into the dough, so the flavor is throughout. It was savory and delicious. I'd get this again. The lemon & lilikoi scone was sweet and citrusy. It was very light. The whole scone is lemon while the glaze is lilikoi. I'd get this again. The cinnamon roll was good. There was enough icing and the inside dough wasn't dry. I like the tang of the cream cheese icing. There was plenty of cinnamon sugar filling. I'd get this again. Overall, great service, great food, but the drink fell short for me. I would order another drink next time. I'd recommend this place to others. read more

I will say, the cappuccino, the vanilla cappuccino, and the flat white had very blunted-acidic taste and overall not the greatest coffee. Great service and Matcha (sweetened with local honey). Fair warning: you will finish your drink in 5 minutes since it is so good. My only critique was the lack of room in the parking lot as it is a drive-through truck. I reccomend to tourists who are looking for a high-quality café. This particular location is a truck in the food truck area of Kihei Marketplace and has both a walk up window and a drive thru. On the morning I was there, two people were working, one on each side. After looking over the menu I decided on a Haleakalatte and chose to get it hot. The menu described it as a deep rich caramel latte. As I watched the barista make my drink, I noticed it was going into a plastic cup, which meant iced. It ended up coming out as a large iced coffee. Since it wasn't a big deal, I took it and went on my way. The coffee itself ended up being pretty good. The caramel flavor was on the lighter side, adding some sweetness without overpowering the coffee. The coffee itself was rich and came through nicely. I also liked that they used coffee ice cubes, which helped prevent the drink from getting watered down as the ice melted. If anything, it added a slight bitterness, which I didn't mind. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. While I would have preferred the hot latte I ordered, the iced version worked out just fine and was still enjoyable.

They have a pretty big menu with lots of drink options. They have coffee, tea, frappes, espresso frappes, hot chocolate, Italian cream sodas and smoothies. All their brews are freshly roasted in Maui. I like a good latte and their signature Luxe Latte looked like the move for me. It had vanilla and raw Maui honey. I got it iced as the sun was shining bright that morning. I love that they present it with a little chocolate coffee bean on top of the drink. It's like a bonus. First sip of the drink and I was in love. You can taste the quality coffee along with the raw honey and vanilla. They definitely use quality ingredients here. If hunger strikes, they do have pastry options which I am not sure if they make on their own or source it from somewhere else. This was one of many coffee stops while we were vacationing in Maui, but it was one of my favorites as well. I would totally come back next time!
