When I notified the staff member who was making the salads, she replaced a part of the salad instead of remaking it and continued using the same gloves afterward. I clarified that fly was one more than that one spot and asked for a new salad please. She appeared visibly frustrated. I did not mind waiting until the person behind me was finished being helped, especially since she was the only other person in line. As someone who has worked in the food industry, I understand that situations like this can happen. However, proper food safety protocol would require discarding the contaminated item and changing gloves before preparing new food. This was not done. While remaking the salad, she whispered to a coworker, who then looked at me and laughed. That really topped of my experience. So my question is would you want to eat that salad?

I grabbed their bourgeois pizza and it was everything you want in a pizza -- crispy crust, loaded toppings, and the kind of bite that makes you pause for a second like "yeah... this was the right decision." But honestly, they deserve their flowers for something else too... they saved me at 2AM once. True story: I DoorDashed a pizza AND a sandwich from Wailuku all the way to Kihei because when the late-night hunger hits, you start making bold life decisions. And when you realize they're basically the only place open from 9PM to 1PM the next day, suddenly it makes perfect sense.
