This place is a slice of heaven. The service was exceptionally friendly and made me feel so welcomed everytime I came in during my time on the island (which was EVERYDAY). I had the Iced Sugar Free Vanilla Latte or Iced Sugar Free Vanilla Mocha every time I came. The drink was delicious EVERY TIME! I also tried the Mac Nut Banana Bread and it was fanastic...honestly...some of the best on the island. But the best part was the service. Half-way through my time here, the I noticed that most of the servers started to expect me and knew my name. And when it was time for me to leave (so sad), the wished me a heart felt safe trip home. This is a great community coffee shop and I loved it. Lovely local spot for great coffee. This very nearby where we were staying. We popped in, joined the line (it is popular!), and ordered 2 coconut ice coffees (one with cream, one without). They have these prepared to pour and serve so it was super fast and $5 each. The cream really brings out the coconut but both were great and well priced for larges. This place is fantastic! It was within walking distance of where we were staying but it's also worth a drive too! The drinks are so smooth. We had vanilla lattes, cafe au lait and mochas. We came everyday. Iced or hot - both delicious and easy to drink. On our second visit we also had a breakfast bagel which was good but a little pricy in my opinion. This is the type of place I will be thinking about when I go back home. The owner was so kind and you see a lot of familiar faces even during our short stay. Highly recommended for sure! Was super stoked to find this place! The Veggie Bagel was delicious, albeit a bit slippery, while the Breakfast Bagel was slightly dry (we got ours with bacon). We chose Everything Bagels for both, and they were great. Next, we tried the Cheese Danish, Avocado Toast, and Glazed Donut. All were decent, but the Cheese Danish was the standout. The Glazed Donut was a little heavy--more of a cake-donut style--for my taste, but still yummy. The Avocado Toast was a bit plain, topped only with avocado slices and salt/pepper, but again, it did what it needed to do. For drinks, we ordered a Mango Smoothie, a Hazelnut Iced Coffee with cream, and a Coconut Iced Coffee with cream. Visiting outside of mango season, I suspect they did add some artificial mango flavor, though it wasn't overpowering and was still refreshing and not too sweet. The iced coffees I believe was their drip coffee over ice with the option to add syrup and cream, while I had been expecting iced lattes, though that was definitely my mistake, not the establishment's. The hazelnut syrup had great flavor, while the coconut was milder. All in all, I was super happy we stopped in here. The cafe was cute with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the staff were very friendly. The Veggie Bagel is a must-try! read more

Very nice lady working the front. She made us feel very comfortable and greeted us with a warm smile at 6am. We tried their avocado toast which was tasty. They put a ton of avocado on it which is nice. You can either get a full or half order. I got the full thinking it would be 1 full slice of bread, but they actually give you 2 full slices of bread. The half order would just be 1 slice of bread. Had I known, I would've gotten the half order since I couldn't finish the full order. Love that this place is open early at 5:30am since most places do not open that early. This is a good option if you want to start your day earlier than everyone else! read more

I came here to try the avocado toast and matcha. The matcha was straight up not good. It was grainy and not good quality. The color of the matcha was dark green not bright and vibrant. Almost nasty which is crazy for me to say. The avocado toast was good- although we were upsold on 2 "full" orders of avocado toast and the avocado itself could have been better presentation-wise. A full order of avocado toast has 2 pieces FYI. It's on buttered country bread (the best part) with sea salt and EVOO. For one person it was very filling. read more

Wow what a gem!!! We came here after searching for coffee all morning! We happened to get lost for a bit and ended up here! Coffee was 10/10 great! I loved my latte! They have a bunch of options to add to your latte for syrups! My partner got the naughty toddy and enjoyed it (FYI it's not sweet). The avo 1/2 toast was plenty and more! So so good and fresh! Just enough saltiness for me! The cream cheese was different and a nice touch. My daughter had the matcha. She did not like it. She said it was not sweet at all and she could not drink it (she's 15 for reference). Bought the kids breakfast bagels, which they enjoyed. Bought the husband espresso and almond croissant, which he also enjoyed. No complaints. The counter person was so patient and polite. I had 8 orders for 8 people. It looks busy inside, but like me, most people came in groups so they all ordered together and lines went down fast. Very great experience here for breakfast and coffee!! We ordered two breakfast sandwiches and two cold brews. Sandwiches were very fresh and delicious. Cold brews were also super good, Hawaiian coffee just hits different. The service was great! Workers were very friendly and they prepared all the food very fast. Only giving a 4 and not a 5 because I believe there are other coffee places that have better coffee on the island but by no means was the coffee here bad. Day 1: Great experience. The cashier was friendly and helpful. I ordered five drinks which was about $50. Day 2: Things were okay. Same cashier, but I could sense some impatience and frustration. Still ordered same five drinks. Day 3: Not okay. Same cashier again. I ordered five drinks for my daughter's birthday she specifically wanted Hawaiian Village Coffee. If it weren't for that, I would've walked out and gone to Starbucks, where I've been thousands of times and never once been treated with such snide, condescending behavior. So forgive me if I stumble over my order or use Starbucks vocabulary instead of you acting like a fool. My daughter was standing right there, feeling like it was her fault for wanting this place on her birthday. That's unacceptable. While waiting in line, I watched how the cashier treated locals vs. tourists. The difference was obvious. If she could average that out, she'd have solid customer service skills and probably earn better tips for the team. This is my third year coming to Hawaiian Village Coffee while on vacation. The staff is quick to take your order and food comes out pretty quickly considering how many people they are servicing. I got their lox bagel. It was delicious. Went here this morning for coffee, chai, breakfast sandwiches , and pastries! Looks to be a popular local spot with many regulars, also looks like some tourists found this spot as well (such as my friends and I!) Pros: even with the long lines, service was fast and friendly. Food and drinks were quite good, we actually went back to order more drinks to go! I also bought some whole bean coffee bags/packages to go (gifts to take home), stickers, and a few reusable containers; one as a gift and one for me, for my second chai which I took to the beach! Plenty of parking at the Gateway Center, so that's a huge plus as well. Cons: the hours are a little weird, they close at noon, so come early (they open at 5:30...AM!) and while there's parking, it may not be close to where you're staying, but it's worth the trek! One of my friends ordered the iced Thai breve espresso, which she also ordered a second and noted her new favorite coffee + coffee spot is here in Maui. She also said this drink is on her top 3 reasons to come back to Maui.... Yeah, the drinks are super tasty! Hawaiian Village Coffee was our first coffee stop during our trip to Maui. We stayed nearby at Kahana Villas so this was super close and convenient. It's located in a plaza so there's plenty of parking. I stopped by on a Thursday morning around 8 AM and it wasn't too busy. I must've just missed the rush because while the line wasn't long, the tables were full of folks meeting and enjoying a cup of coffee on the front outdoor area. Inside, they have so much to offer. Of course, they've got tons of coffee and drink options. They also have pastries and you can even buy some beans and mugs to take home. I asked what was a popular drink and they recommended the Iced Thai Espresso (basically like a latte with condensed milk). It was good, though definitely on the sweeter side as expected. If you want more of a coffee flavor, I'd go for another drink. The smallest size goes for near $7 which feels pricey, especially considering the larger size would then be near $8. Still, I'd come back! Definitely would like to try their bagels next time. read more

I visited Maui last week for 6 days. The $6 almond croissant was a bust for my family of four (two adults and two kids 10 & 14). Everyone tried it and agreed that it wasn't as tasty as we'd all hoped. The donuts weren't much more appealing than a box of a dozen from the store, in the states. The coffee is where it's at though! I had the dark roast iced coffee with almond milk. I've been every day of the trip just for the coffee. Service was quick! They have a nice seating area in front.
