I've been here a few times to hang and watch games! Most recently I was here late October to watch a husky game and it was a great spot to escape the weather in the stadium. They have a great variety of beers with some ciders and wines on the menu too! Kid friendly and great seating options! There is a huge selection, staff was quick, responsive, and knowledgeable. The outdoor space is great, but they've closed it off for the season. There is a food truck! The calendar on their website didn't list Sunday on the calendar, but they did have one when I was there on a Sunday. Indoors is very spacious, with a full upper level that boats tabletop and arcade games. It's really nice to have kid friendly breweries like this, but do keep in mind that even as late as 8 there might be plenty of kids in the near vicinity. They do have signs requesting you watch your kids and not let them run around, but you know how people are. I had red wine, which they sell in cans. It made sense because I'm sure not a ton of people come here for wine, so bottles would go bad before they were emptied. I didn't hate it, but I wouldn't really write home about it, either. My friend tried a few different beers and seemed pretty happy. I love being able to bring in my own food (they request you buy drinks on site, which also makes sense, and they have plenty of non alcoholic/kid options. A friend had given me a 4-pack of the peanut butter and jelly sour beer and ever since then, I was curious to check out this brewery in person! Finally made it there on a sunny Sunday morning while the food truck "Good Morning Tacos" was there - yay! The space is nice with indoor space (plus an upper loft type area), and then 2 large outdoor spaces too (partially covered and it looks like there are heat lamps too for the colder months). Although the brewery is just off of Lake City Way, the outdoor area is really nice and relaxing! You can do flights (5 or any number less than that) as well as normal beer pours. It also looked like they had coffee drinks as well! The beer offerings rotate quite often so you'll probably find new beers every time you visit. It's family friendly, I think they often have food trucks (outside food is welcome too) and parking was easy in the neighborhood. I'll definitely be back! read more

This is a super family friendly spot. They have food trucks out front and serve a variety of drinks. I cannot speak to their beer as I didn't try any. But I was a bit disappointed with their hard seltzer, it lacked bubbles for me, and was a bit too hoppy. Service is always fast and friendly. My wife and I live in the neighborhood and decided to finally stop in on Saturday afternoon. T was really busy, but they have a ton of seating so it wasn't hard to find a spot to sit. There were sun and shade options in the back which was nice and plenty of spots inside. They have a decent selection of beer and a few other options for non beer drinkers, which I hope will expand over time. There is usually a food truck or two out front and the food line Ike's good. I think overall it was a nice atmosphere. It's hard to comment on the customer service since it is so limited by design. Pay for your drink and grab it from the cooler or they pour it real quick, not much else to say there. I think overall this is a great atmosphere neighborhood hangout. read more

Project 9 is a newish brewery at a busy intersection of Lake City Way and NE 80th St. It's in walking distance so that's always a plus, and it also doesn't hurt to have Sammich provide the food. They definitely have a wide variety of beers including some solid sours, but I still favor IPAs and they had few interesting once including a San Diego IPA (not West Coast but specifically San Diego - apparently it's a little less bitter). Love the 5 oz options so you can try a few or more. Overall, great to have a brewery in the hood and a very welcoming staff and space! read more

On this particular night when we visited they had trivia game night going on, lots of energy, crowded but still enough space between the tables so it wasn't uncomfortably crowded, and surprisingly still a lot of seating in the front and back areas. Great service from Ada, very friendly and always ready to help. Lots of variety of beers available to try with their beer flight option. Up to 5 flavors! Our favorite was surprisingly the Astro invasion, which was a delicious hazy ipa that wasn't overly bitter or fruit flavored. Came here to support a fundraiser for a nearby school. This place is super cute! I love that it's dog and kid-friendly, which is pretty uncommon for a brewery. Really fun addition to the neighborhood! There is so much seating both indoors and outdoors for all size groups. The upstairs loft area even has free arcade games and board games for the kids. There's even TVs to watch sports and events. Beer menu was average in count. Cant say I loved my beer - similar to other reviews, they're behind on the taste and quality of other renown local brewers but I believe the spot will get there. Def will come back to try a flight and get a deeper perspective. Merch is available. Daily food truck. Project 9 just started doing coffee!! This is the BEST mocha I have ever had! I've always complained about overly sweet mochas and this is the first mocha where it was a nice hint of chocolate and not overwhelming sweetness. I think they serve coffee from 8am - 1pm and they also have little pastries. I love it!! Been great to go for a nice neighborhood walk with the dog and have a place to take a slow morning. They have great IPAs (a true Seattleite here) and the Sammich food truck is delicious. What a great add to the Maple Leaf neighborhood! read more

Made it to Project 9 Brewing this past weekend and I can say with a fair amount of confidence that it's Seattle's newest brewery but this title shifts quite often. It is fairly popular too as there were lots of people there, their cans of beer were sold out and certain beer selections were sold out as well. But I am not so sure if there is a certain ace in the hole for a particular beer because I left with the impression that no matter what you choose to drink it will be good. I had two different beers here, a lager and a pilsner. Mullet Over was my first beer selection which was the lager which was clean and light. A craft beer version of what you associate with Coors to have. And I have to say the craft beer versions obviously and always impress me more. A total crushable beer. The next beer was the pilsner, the Tropical Pils in which I associate the name due to it's floral and juicy flavor characteristics. Another very crushable beer and very light in which you can have a few of or like how some people do and make it a slow burn through the day with it. Very good brewery addition to Seattle! read more

After driving by this place every day and watching it slowly get built over the last few months, it's finally open! It's a great neighborhood brewery. Not every beer was available on day 2 of opening, but we tried the Pilsner and two IPAs and all were tasty. They offer tastings as well, so if you can't decide, you can try a bunch of beers. There are lots of tables indoors, cute dogs, and a food truck parked outside. Parking is just street parking in the nearby neighborhood. I'm not much of a beer person but my partner liked the German-style Pilsner that Project 9 makes (??/5 stars), and we enjoyed the vibes (5/5 stars)! Monday night is trivia night and the whole place was packed from about 7:15-9:15pm, but we managed to find some seats in the tent (where the audio from the competition was much more quiet). They let us sample the house-made seltzer cocktails (3/5 stars) which were great but had strong artificial flavors (especially the imitation coconut in the key lime cocktail). read more

Lagers are hard to be well, and they take longer to make than the typical microbrewery ales, so it's no surprise that many places don't make lagers. But if a brewery can produce a decent lager, then I'd give it well-above-average odds that its other beers will be well made. We've been wanting to check out this new arrival to the neighborhood, it's a pretty big deal to get a family friendly brewery in the hood! Similar to other kid/dog friendly breweries, Project 9 has an inviting atmosphere and ample outdoor seating. The two folks who greeted us and served us as we walked in were friendly and knowledgeable. The food truck wasn't open as it was a Tuesday afternoon, but we were told about the numerous options nearby and that we were welcome to bring outside food inside. As for the drinks- I sampled and then enjoyed the Lucifier Juicy IPA. My partner got a Chardonnay (they have many wines available). My kids got a root beer and an apple juice. Speaking of the kids, they have a great selection of board games and video games with unlimited credits. The kids and I had fun playing a four player Simpsons game. Overall I would highly recommend Project 9 for both family and friends nights out! read more

This place has gone downhill very quickly. What used to be a chill family friendly environment is now oddly hostile towards people with kids. They tried to tell us we had to go sit with other kids upstairs or we'd get kicked out. It's not a 21 and over only area, you can't quarantine your patrons. It was just us two moms and our 8 year old daughters at our table outside. Our kids weren't being disruptive at all so we were completely dumbfounded by their oddly aggressive confrontation. You set up a "kid friendly" neighborhood bar with free arcade games to build a successful business. Now you treat those same families who brought you success terribly.
