Bad company. Bad Communication. Stay Away!…read more I had an estimate scheduled for 8 AM on October 10, 2022, and no one showed. I called at 8:10 AM with no answer so I left them a voicemail. I called them again on October 13, 2022, to just clarify and get things straight as I did not want to leave a bad review. An hour after I left the voicemail, I receive a call from the owner (Brett Shaw). He began talking to me very aggressively. He proceeds to tell me that he thought my inquiry was a joke which is why he never responded to my messages or showed up. My request was for trim work and baseboards to be painted in my bathrooms but also stated that if this project is too small that other jobs could be done as well. As a consumer, it is not my job to know the expenses or the prices of this company. I was looking for an estimate while trying to support a local company. Brett has since responded to my review on Google calling me a scam and a liar. I do not appreciate his actions or business practices. Overall, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and even put on my Google review "Would love for them to get in touch so I can change my review and support a local business". Cannot encourage customers enough to stay away from this company.

A 2 day install turned into 2 weeks with lots of no shows from the installer and an extra $1,400 in cash given to him for things he claimed were extra. Getting ahold of the owner was not easy but once we did get ahold of him, he did apologize and seemed like he was going to make sure everything was made right. He took $700 off our final bill. Once the installer was done, we had to call to ask about getting all the cabinets adjusted aka straight. They did come out and do that. After about a week, we noticed the pull out trash can was hitting the pantry door next to it. Luther sent a guy out to "fix" it. The "fix" worked for another couple weeks until it gave and started hitting again. Then it l came off the track. We obviously haven't been able to use it since (so after just a few weeks). You can see in the picture below that it's crooked. Getting ahold of them was extremely difficult but when we did, Luther told us it sounded like a spacer wasn't installed between the two. We kept hearing they would get back to us. Eventually they stopped answering our calls. Before the holidays, months after the issue and not being able to use the trash can, my husband got the idea to call from his work phone. They of course answered, not knowing it was him and told him they were looking into a solution. Again, we were ghosted for months. My husband stopped in last week to give them another chance to make this right and Luther Falls was far from professional and wanted nothing to do with working towards a solution. He called my husband awful names and told him to "F our cabinets," while walking away from him to avoid a conversation. I then made a Facebook post to let all my friends and family know about our situation and the terrible treatment we had received. Luther commented saying we were liars and that we broke it and didn't notify them until 6 months later. Obviously that is not the case. We are honest, hard working people who tried to give a company chance after chance to make it right. We never dreamed that we would be treated this way. We've remodeled 3 homes now and never had any issues with anyone we've worked with! Also, we aren't 100% sure our bottom cabinets are even the color we ordered. We picked charcoal grey and our receipt says that but these are navy blue. We never even had the chance to bring this up to the company because it's been the least of our worries.

The interior of our home had not been painted since it was built (about 2003). It still had the flat contractors paint and some areas were looking decidedly worse for wear.Being pregnant with a toddler on the loose, we decided not to attempt the painting ourselves. I commenced obtaining quotes. Generally, when having work of any kind done on our home or appliances, I prefer to go with a company that has been recommended to us by friends or family we trust. So we had a number of companies from around the local area come to give us quotes. However, I spotted AOM on Angie's List and was intrigued by their offers and more importantly, the reviews people gave them.I decided to call them for a quote. Well, they were super fast in getting back to me and David offered to come out the next day to provide a quote. After a walk through and explanation of what we needed, he was able to quote me on the spot.We had a relatively tight schedule to get the painting done. We decided to have it done whilst we were away overseas. Certain past experiences have left me largely mistrustful of giving my home over to anyone while I am away, but after chatting with David and Ashly, the owners of AOM, I felt confident that we were in good hands. We were leaving in less than a month, and needed the work done by the time we got back. No pressure. Ashly and David were fantastic in fitting on with our schedule requests. Ashly was so great in helping us to decide on exact colors to match our general idea of a color scheme, coming over more than once to put up paint swatches in the different rooms in different areas so we would be able to tell how it would look regardless of time of day. I can't tell you how many color samples we tried before we made our final choices. My mother in law was gracious enough to offer to be on hand to help out with daily concerns, and the AOm team worked so well with her. She was completely impressed - not an easy feat with her! Before we left we had constant communication with Ashly, who even helped me choose paint scents.While we were away, we got regular updates, with pictures from AOm as well as an online work board so i would be completely in the loop with the work done/to be done. We returned the day before yesterday and LOVE the work they have done. We are so incredibly happy and impressed with the work they did. They did all our ceilings,our walls, fixed cracks and dents where needed,painted the walls and to my absolute delight, managed to get my dinged baseboards and door frames looking like new again.They also took care in the smaller detail, like kindly replacing globes they saw had blown out. Today, David came by for a walk through to ensure we were happy with everything. There were a few minor things that he fixed right there on the spot. Needless to say, all their fantastic reviews are well deserved.They work hard, work smart, have integrity, and are so very accommodating to their customer's needs. That they are also very trustworthy is a huge thing for me , and I suspect that anyone having work done in their home, whilst they might not be about at all times, will understand this. Give them a call - you will not be sorry. Oh, and their quote? A fraction of the cost we were quoted by the others. We intend on using them for all projects in the future.

Jason took great care in evaluating our space, providing me with feedback I never even considered. His planning was first rate--this is what makes him so distinct: He approaches each project like an artist does a canvas. For Jason a project begins with a concept which he then executes with a precision and craftsmanship you just can't find anywhere else. Jason also handled the plumbing, the electric, the drywall, and the performed all the fixture installations. He also saved me from making very bad design choices (like mixing chrome and rubbed bronze), or mixing periods, like modern and retro. Jason has an instinct for harmony, keeping things elegant and simple and appropriate to the style of the home (ours was built in the 1920s). He takes the time to understand what you really want--leading you to make the right choices based on what you truly want, and producing, in my opinion, a work of lasting benefit & beauty.
