Missed my flight at Theodore Stevens International Airport. So I came here for a late lunch. Felt like I came straight out of Philly. Awesome food. Great food had the Boss Sandwich double meat. Friendly service. Great artwork on the walls. 'Preciate it

Delicious food. I highly recommend. The staff were friendly, and I loved the vibe of the scaled dining room.

So I was wondering where I could get a pretty tasty sandwich from and this place popped up. Decided to give them a try. This place is pretty tiny and would recommend doing takeout. The cheesesteak is pretty good wish they toasted their bread a bit longer so it wouldn't seem soggy. The bread is very soft which makes it a bit weird and soggy feeling. The fries that came with it tasted expired, like you were eating styrofoam, wish they could do a better job with their fries. Also ordered the Cajun lemon pepper chicken strips, they are pretty tasty and well cooked but the seasoning had a bit much of salt for me.

Straight Out of Philly is not the newest or shiniest place. The parking is limited and the interior is snug, but the food is good. We came in and ordered, and it didn't take long to get our food. My burger was so tasty. It was cooked nicely, the toppings were fresh, and the bun was nice and soft. The fries were cooked well and were salted to perfection. I could stop eating them even after I was full. Don't forget to try the special home made ranch. It's worth the extra 50 cents! Thank you for a great meal at a great price!

First philly cheese steak I've tried I'm Anchorage and it's delicious! Went with double meat, because why not?!? Slightly regretted it after consuming it ALL in one sitting, but glad I did it regardless! Honestly, I think I would've been upset if I had only single serving of meat as the bread is slightly on the thicker side. Didn't read the description well to see that this one didn't come with grilled cheese or been peppers (hey, I was first introduced to the philly at a mall... whaddya expect?) but would definitely go back to try. Luis, the owner, is super friendly too!

I had high hopes when I saw the basic building in need of multiple upgrades. That normally means hole in the wall fantastic food. I opted for a salad, which I think is a bit overpriced, BUT it was fresh just expensive for the size. The onion rings were AMAZING and the homemade ranch is a 10/10. Extra charge for using a card so be aware, it's best to bring cash. Overall, I was happy and would definitely order again. Ignore the half eaten onion ring photo. They were delish and I couldn't wait

I was on a low carb diet for over a year. I no longer am, but eating at a place like this still feels, somehow "wrong". It feels dirty. I feel the sugar surging in my veins. These philly's are massive carb-bombs, as they should be. Bread, white bread, as far as the eye can see! Oh, and they also come with fries! I ordered takeout (heard the interior is small and not that accommodating: this is correct), and the fries were already well past their prime. Not sure if my order just came up earlier than the estimated 20 minutes or what. I would've gotten there early had I known they sandos came with fries. Fries are so fickle. They must be consumed QUICKLY, or they turn to cardboard. I got the hot philly with double meat. It was good! The bread still made up the bulk of the volume. I wish there were more jalapenos or, better yet, fresh jalapenos (rather than pickled). This venue isn't a looker, and it's kind of hidden. Makes for a good takeout option though. They also have wings, which I have not tried. (and are a way to get a low carb meal here, if you're into that sort of thing!)

Sadly disappointing…read more There's a lot of room for improvement. The restaurant was dirty with few tables wiped down despite being empty when we got there. Chairs are very beat up and torn. Service is very slow to receive food also despite being the only people dining in. As far as food goes there's a lot of misses. Chicken wings are incredibly small, with a tiny amount of meat and far over cooked to a crunchiness in the meat. The macaroni lacks flavor and tastes of only boiled noodles and cheese. If you're expecting a baked macaroni and cheese cooked with a roux or breadcrumbs this is definitely not it. The burger just alright. Atmosphere overall not so good. Pros: the sauce on the wings is tasty and plentiful. BBQ sauce has a homemade taste (also chunky) Ranch is creamy and tasty. French fries are thick and hot. Sweet potato fries are good as well.

More depth: We ordered 3 flavors Garlic Parmesan, Lemon Pepper, and Mild and a side order of cheese curds and curly fries. Cheese curds were good. Curly fries were nothing special but by no means bad. Garlic Parmesan - What you would expect. Butter, garlic, and cheese. Not bad but could have been better Lemon Pepper - Good flavor. Nice lemon with just a bit a peppery notes. Mild - This was a house rub that does not really have any measure of the classic heat you would look for in wings but more of a warmth. Which I believe comes from clove. Interesting flavor but not sure I would try this flavor again. Once I noticed the clove. It was all I could taste. A little Ranch helped balance it out.

The room has a high-energy, lively vibe without ever feeling overwhelmingly loud, and you can tell why the chef earned a James Beard nomination. You definitely need a reservation; they have a few walk-in spots, but they go very fast, so you will want to get there right when doors open if you do not have one booked. The beverage menu is very well done, with great cocktails and thoughtful mocktails that felt just as crafted. For food, our starters set a high bar; the pork buns, pickles, and octopus were all flavorful and well prepared. The ramen itself was delicious and hits the spot in the Alaska weather, with deep, tasty broths and bold flavors throughout. The Dark Horse was especially good. We did not have room left for dessert, but the savory side of the menu more than delivered.

My husband had a couple cocktails and I had a couple NA cocktails. I was really impressed with the NA cocktails -- they were complex in flavor and not overly sweet. Husband was also impressed with his drinks. For appetizers we got the pickles, pork buns and takoyaki. In my opinion the pork buns are the way to go. I also enjoyed the pickles and there were a good garnish with other dishes. For ramens we got the dark horse and Tokyo rich tsukemen. Wow wow wow, they were simply excellent. The owner is super friendly, and remembers my boyfriend and I whenever we pull up to order. She has an array of burgers, wraps, wings, and salads to choose from. My personal favorite is the chicken caesar salad--it is the BOMB; chicken is blackened and the caesar dressing is homemade. She also just added a southwest chicken salad which I'll be adding to the rotation. My boyfriend will usually get a wrap or burger if he doesn't choose the daily special. Highly recommend you trying out the cajun fries, so delicious! Also, if she has any dessert available, you'll want to order that too--her desserts aren't permanent menu items so if you see something you like, don't hesitate cause it will most likely be gone! In the past she's made lemon bars, oreo brownies, and so many more that I can't think of. Prices are reasonable too--we get a meal for two for under $30. Portion sizes are large and I never walk away feeling hungry, even when it's a salad. Overall, you need to try this place out! Good food from good people.
