Visited again on Monday around 4:45pm 4/13. There was a few people leaving when I came and then I was the only one for the whole time I was there. I got my food to go. The board stating the wait time was accurate. I only waited 5-10 minutes. I ordered the spenard burger and a regular cheeseburger with fries. The fries were dead cold (only drove to eat maybe 2 minutes) if I were eating in house I would have asked for new fries. The burgers were actually pretty good nothing wrong with them. The menu is kind of all of the place and a lot of reading. The staff was very nice but standing around in front with nothing to do because it was so dead in there. The floors were pretty sticky too so I stayed on the carpet while waiting. Around $35 for two burgers and dead cold fries. read more

The service is great at the Benson location, Hailey and Ron are awesome. The "new" French Fries suck. Every once in a while you guys use "cheap" fries because you weren't able to get the regular, good fries. These cheap fries are barely palatable. Bring back the quality fries. I have come accustomed to craving your "good" fries. If you guys keep using the cheap fries I'll go to Red Robin instead. Thanks. read more

Restaurant is Located on the corner of Diamond and ARCTIC Boulevard but We ordered via DoorDash. they offer gluten-free buns so I decided to call regarding the occasion seasoning to make sure that it also was gluten-free since it seems to be used on everything. And it is. The gentleman who answered the phone was very friendly and knowledgeable and reassured me although the fries would be cross contaminated so this would not be a celiac friendly restaurant. Although I neglected to ask about the teriyaki sauce on the Aloha burger. Maybe next time. I ordered the sweet Charlotte burger on gluten-free bun and added minced garlic and an order of small Cajun fries, which all came $29.60. The burger was good still on the fence about the bun. I've had it before at another restaurant. I think there's this after dryness if that makes sense. They definitely did not use Franz bakery, gluten-free buns. the fries were well seasoned still slightly warm from the delivery although we don't live that far. I ordered a pineapple milkshake with pineapple. I added it flavor and that cost me $8.45 although it was good it's a very light pineapple flavor but you can tell that it is pineapple. However, the size of the milkshake doesn't warrant THAT price. My husband ordered the RLE Hello burger and that Pápi was huge! He said it was all right. So for him nothing write home about, but it was filling. Would order it again though @a whopping $25.35 price tag. The small beer battered onion ring was actually pretty large for $7.80. Would hate to see what the large $16.90 onion rings look like. And he ordered a Mexican Coke for $5.20. Total through DoorDash with tip came to $90.22. After years of only being located in Spenard, we finally have a Southside Tommy's! Pass "gallos," and look for "dimond tuxedo." Tommy's will be a storefront or two away. Parking is scary, especially since we are still in winter or false spring as they say. But other than that, this location is a win for the Tommy's team. Their main door is shared with a few other small businesses fyi. But they possess what seems like the largest space in their area of the building. Most notably, this new location has a nicely sized seating area, unlike their Spenard location. Customer service was top notch. All areas were clean and inviting. We were there during their dinner rush, and staff kept the lines moving. Our food and milk shakes came out pretty fast. We got a Philly cheesesteak, an original burger, fried chicken po boy, fries, & desserts. Fountain drinks were free because they didn't have carbonation. Just stick with the Powerade and you'll be okay. Massive selection of bottled juices, sodas, water, etc. Everything was cooked and seasoned well although my spouse felt his Philly was overly salty. For desserts we got their carrot cake, double musky pie, and Cajun delight. All nut heavy fyi. I'm getting more into nuts but I don't think I'll ever truly appreciate nuts in desserts lol Highly recommend Tommy's! read more

I will never be ordering from Tommy's Burger Stop again. I placed a large order; three Burger Stop burgers, a Philly cheesesteak, and two orders of onion rings and the app said it would be ready within the hour. Instead, I had to wait two extra hours (not including the hour the app said), and the food wasn't ready until the staff were literally closing up for the night. The place wasn't even busy, so there's no excuse for such poor service. When we finally got the food home, it was a disaster: Missing items: no onion rings, one burger missing, and no fries even though two of the meals came with them. Incorrect order: one of the burgers we did get was made wrong. Insanely overpriced: we spent over $80 for food that was incomplete, wrong, and late with no refund or compensation offered. As if that wasn't bad enough, the entire household has been sick with food poisoning all day after eating this meal. Absolutely unacceptable. Between the missing items, two hour wait, poor quality, and now food poisoning, I would strongly warn others to stay away from this place. Tommy's used to be the place to go! read more

The husband && I had been trying to get into this place since they opened but they are always hoppin && a poppin, which is good for them - sad for us. BUT we finally got in during a rare slow time for them earlier before their dinner rush! The husband got a Philly - don't remember which one specifically but it was fire!!!!! we got the garden salad - which I was super stoked about all the peppers in it! So good! I got the papa burger with all the peppers on it && no cheese of course on a gluten free bun - personal choice not allergy. The finish off the meal we got the crispiest onion rings - so great. Tommy's Burger Stop opened a second location on west Dimond. Give them a try and they are just as good as the original location. It has a great new seating area and food was delicious. There was a 45 minute wait but that was during dinner rush and the place was packed. They are still getting the place completely in order but it is definitely worth give it a try. I love that all the burgers at Tommy's always come with "all the fixings". That is the way a burger should be served. read more

I have been going to Tommy's burgers in Spenard for years. I have always said what wonderful burgers always at Tommy's but $140.00 bill on Saturday I'm not sure if they need to give the Koch some new lessons or if they're trying to save are on their meat or what's happening, but that was the worst Tommy's my bacon was burnt to a crisp. My hamburger was burnt to a crisp and it's just horrible that they've gone to this level and that's just I can't say anything good about diamond Tommy's burger stop and I'm very upset that I got a burnt up burger and I could've went to McDonald's and got that it was that bad anyway, please do better read more

Went on Sunday for lunch. . Unfortunately it was terrible. The meat said it was grass fed beef. What they didn't say it was frozen patties that were hard as a hockey puck from the freezer section in Costco. They said cajun spices. It was tasteless. I asked for no onions. We've been loyal patrons of the Spenard location for years. We had family visiting and decided to try the Dimond location for the extra seating. The location was going through some growing pains while we were there, and it wasn't quite what we'd come to expect from the Tommy's brand, HOWEVER, once the management caught wind of our experience, they went above and beyond to renew our faith in Tommy's Burgers! Opening a new, larger location is difficult to maintain the intimate quality of the Spenard spot, and our bar was set pretty high. We'll be back for sure. Dimond location is horrible. Tables and floors were dirty. Waited a long time for food. I wouldn't have minded the wait if the food was good, but the burger was way over cooked and ate like a hockey puck. Bad flavor and hardly any toppings. Fries were a little on the cold side. Bathroom was out in the lobby of this building and required a code to get in. It was extremely filthy and one of the toilets was clogged. The stench in there made me want to vomit. First time to the Dimond location and several years since I had one of Tommy's burgers. I ordered a takeout Stella Bleu burger and Cajun fries by phone and was given a 20 min pickup time. Upon payment, I was told unless I paid by debit card or cash, there was a 3% surcharge for payment by credit card. That was a surprise. The burgers and fries may have been delicious when they were fresh. Unfortunately, we didn't get to enjoy them fresh. I called in a take out order and was told it would be 30-35 minutes but they'd call when the order was ready. I arrived at the restaurant about 10 minutes before I was told the order would be ready. Waited and got no call... finally went in and saw sign saying 15-20 minute wait. Also hoped the bags I saw on the counter were not mine but unfortunately they were. I told the cashier I hadn't gotten a call and the response was "we've been busy." Not even an apology. We were staying just 5 minutes away but everything was cold and needed to be reheated. they had a donut burger for their grand opening today that was seriously so good. this was my second time going to this location and the service has been quicker than the expected wait time both times. it has been super busy with hardly an open table both times ive gone and they are so quick to get people thru the line and even clear tables as soon as someone stands up to leave. it is also very clean and spacious inside and they have a cool collection started behind the counter. the food somehow tastes better than the spenard location. all the staff that i interacted with were amazing and seemed like they would bend over backwards to make sure you have a great experience. tommy's definitely makes the best burgers in alaska!! read more
