Made an order for pizza, wings, and a cheesesteak for 720pm. Got a call from them at 651pm asking where I was. I told them look at the time on my order. He said oops. I told him to put in on the grill to keep it hot. I got there and it was in a pizza bag on the counter. I got home 15 later and the food was so cold it had to be microwaved. The side of fries was soggy cold and ruined. I tried to call them back and the woman who answered just hemmed and hawed and said Well I made it early. Ok that's nice I wanted it ready 30 minutes later. The fact that you guys called me and were freaking out that I wasn't there yet just told me that it was made an hour before I picked it up. Chicken fingers were OK but the oil was definitely old you could tell by the dark color and the taste. French fries were so old definitely stale. They were also fried in the old oil. I ordered a few items from this place online for pick-up several times after getting online order discounts from emails by Slice. Palermo's Pizza and Philly's is a small to-go order/delivery place located in a tiny retail strip off of Debarr Rd. and Beaver in the east side of town next to the Motor Mocha coffee hut and across from a check-cashing place. The employees are friendly and are good in delivering pizza in a timely manner usually between 30-45 minutes during the dinner rush. The waits for a pick-up order are relatively short from between 20-30 minutes after calling or ordering online. I tried the Garlic Chicken Ranch (grilled chicken breast, mozzarella, onions, black olives, spinach, garlic, and ranch dressing sauce) for my first order. The pizza was okay. There was not a lot of flavor from the chicken breast and cheese, but the ranch dressing provided enough flavor and taste to complement the garlic and veggies. My second order was the Pick-up Special of a 12" pizza with 3 toppings for $12.95. I decided to go the conventional route with pepperoni, salami, and mushrooms this time around. The discount from Slice provided a $2 discount which dropped the price down to $10.95, a great deal for a pizza that size along with a number of toppings. The pizza was better this time around with plenty of melted mozzarella wrapped around crispy slices of salami and pepperoni along with thick chunks of mushrooms. However, the best order and the biggest surprise from their menu are their burgers. I ordered online once again with the $2 Slice discount on a Bacon Cheeseburger and this one did not disappoint. The beef patty was thick and juicy cooked to a perfect medium rare along with three thick slices of bacon on top of melted American cheese. This burger had way more flavor than a lot of the fast-food places or sports-bar franchises around town. Again, the online discount brought it down to a reasonable $9.95 with a generous stack of fries. In addition, they also serve wings, salads, gyros, sandwiches, and pasta dinners. I probably would not get pizza here if I didn't have the Slice discounts, but I wouldn't mind ordering from this place again if the burger craving strikes. read more

This is one of those places that make you wish you could do half-star ratings. I'd give them a 3.5 if I could but I don't think I could say they're a 4-Star place. We ordered wings and a Philly cheesesteak late on a weeknight and they delivered pretty quickly. So bonus points for being open late and delivering quickly. The wings were large and meaty and had a decent flavor (we got the hot; it had a little kick but wasn't all that hot). The philly had either way too much bread or not enough meat & cheese. Also the bottom was a bit burned. But, very good flavor and the bread that wasn't burned was super tasty. The fries that came with it tasted a little freezer burned and maybe a little undercooked. Bottom line: I'd definitely order from his place again, especially for a late night delivery - but keep your expectations low and you'll be very happy. read more

Ordered delivery from this place recently, a double bacon cheeseburger, mozzarella sticks, and fries. I live less than a mile away and the food showed up an hour and a half after the fact. Burger was burnt to a crisp, fries were as cold and hard as a rock, and the mozzarella sticks had to have been sitting around for hours at that point and were also burnt to a crisp. Delivery guy just handed me my food and didn't acknowledge me or any other basic act of food/customer service (I had already stupidly tipped him). Not the first time this has happened and I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt yet it still happens. She then had me wait a moment and spoke with cook, she then said that he said "No we don't make it with a double crust (and the "chef" isn't going to). I said is this place have the same owner's, she said it's under new management. Told her we aren't going to eat there anymore, never mind. However, despite my notation of 'No Black Olives' on my online order through Yelp, when I opened the box it was loaded with olives. Definitely the best Cheesteak I've had in a long time. Anyone from the East Coast will tell you a big part of what makes a cheesesteak good is the bread, and the bread is perfect. I ordered a large 4 topping pizza for 26.00 I had it delivered. It took 45min. But when I tried it. It was really overcooked the crust was hard. I called and they let me talk to the cook. The only reason this place is getting one star is because I HAVE to rate it. Can negative stars be a thing? O.K. I was staying at a nearby hotel and Palermo's was advertised as a delivery option on the in room "welcome binder". I figured "why not" and ordered a gyro with a side of mozzarella sticks. Roads were extremely icy and temps were frigid. I didn't want to go out to eat. It took one and a half hours to get my food. Let me repeat- one and a half hours. It was stone cold by the time I got it, so I have absolutely NO idea where others are getting the fast delivery time . . . totally not my experience. Food was stone cold and practically inedible. Have you every tried eating cold, soggy fries or picking up a gyro that is almost 2 hrs old? Horrible. I will not order from here again or recommend anyone else do so either. read more

There is great pizza out there and mediocre pizza out there I had never run across truly awful pizza, until today. I ordered a large three topping pie but the first thing I noticed upon opening the box was how sparse the toppings actually were. When more than one slice has one or two pieces of pepperoni, a couple of olive slices and no sausage? That's sad. Not to mention that pizza is one of those foods that is usually pretty good when eaten cold, but after 20 minutes the cheese had started to congeal and tasted disgusting, it shows how low quality the ingredients used were. My husband and I decided to give Palermo Pizza a try after recently beginning to use the app Slice. For the convenience of being able to order relatively late it definitely was worth a try. We settled on a "large" veggie pizza. Upon delivery we were less than impressed with the presentation of the pie even prior to tasting it.
