A previous review mentioned delicious homemade pastries. Finally as I choose a cookie and a salad for later I see them. A small pedestal plate with pastries. And on the countertop behind the register tons of croissants! I said, there they are! The two ladies working were not impressed. I asked for the flavors and the lady said, there is a menu right there. Ugh, not fully awake I realized a line had formed behind me. This is the spot to go before getting in a ferry. The sign was not clearly visible and I felt overwhelmed with the decision so I quickly decided on a raspberry almond. This is clearly a place for locals. Exit and there is plenty of covered and uncovered outdoor seating while you wait for your order, which is called out at the counter window. We just dealt with a 17 hour commute from east coast to the west coast, slept barely, was up and out the door at 6 am to catch our ferry to Friday Harbor, only for it to be canceled and delayed until 740 pm. At this point I just wanted coffee. Nobody was opened except these people. I had a mocha latte and a blueberry scone which was the BEST scone that I've ever tasted before. Better than Starbucks warmed up. Thanks to this place for doing it right.
