I also visited the next day and gave them a second try. On my first visit I got a friendly greeting and placed an order for the double version of their House Smash Burger. Since they were parked in a gas station parking lot, and didn't have any soda offerings that I liked, I popped into the station and grabbed my favorite. By the time I'd paid my burger was ready. It was fresh and hot (so hot that I had to wait a bit so I could hold it to eat, LOL). The bun evidenced toasting and was nice and soft and large enough to sandwich the large patties with excellent crusting. Their special smash sauce is like a creamy Italian dressing and there was lots of it, giving it a tang. The lettuce was shredded, making it a bit messy, especially with so much sauce so be sure and avail yourself of the roll of paper towels they provide (however, not available on my visit on the next day). Also the pickles they use have a distinct clove taste, so I wasn't a fan of the flavor combination. On my second visit I got the same burger with just cheese and found it much more enjoyable. Even when scaled down it's still a generously sized burger. Across my visits I had both the fries and tots as a side. Both were very generous portions and nicely crispy and also served piping hot. Of the two the fries were my favorite. They were coated and had a nice seasoning. If I were at a festival where food trucks were the only option, I'd definitely favor this option as the food was pretty good, the portions generous, and it's fairly priced.

I love the slaw dog and the chilli dog is also a favorite but this time I went with the grilled plain. Why you ask, because Bobby's has a nice feature with their huge topping bar where you can put your own topping on and as much as you want. Onions cut 3 different ways. Tomatos diced or sliced, relish mustard, different peppers and just about anything else you can put on your hotdog. Lol. And I've never seen it messy like other places. Always neat, well stocked and clean. Buns are the soft top-sliced kind. Great for loading up lots of toppings. And the fries are always fresh and hot! They had a noticeably strong smell right away, which usually means they're not as fresh as they should be, especially at a $40 price point. We took them home, but every time we opened the fridge the smell hit us, so they ultimately went in the trash. Despite this particular experience, we've always enjoyed this place. Service is consistently great, drinks are solid, and we usually leave happy. Hoping this was just an off evening, because we genuinely like coming here.
