Our fiberoptic internet goes down at least 1-2 times a month. The price is similar to those of its competitors.

StratusIQ spent a fortune bringing fiber to the curb throughout our neighborhood, so I called to ask about pricing and getting service installed. They want $300 just to install it. That makes absolutely no sense to me when they're competing directly with Xfinity. I already have high-speed internet that works, so StratusIQ needs to give me a compelling reason to switch. Instead, they're asking me to pay a large upfront fee just to try an unfamiliar provider. It seems like a huge waste to spend all that money trenching an entire neighborhood for fiber and then create another barrier for the very customers you're trying to win over. If the goal is to take business away from Xfinity, charging $300 to get started is a pretty terrible sales strategy. read more

I just moved to Colorado Springs and was comparing internet providers when I was contacted by Nestor at StratusIQ who explained their service. Did some more research and found this company suited my needs the best with speeds and pricing. Nestor was very helpful, polite, and thorough over the phone as he displayed great customer service. Was able to get a call for service shortly after signing with them. Alonso was the technician who showed up exactly on time and was as helpful and polite as Nestor. Alonso answered all of my questions and explained how I could hardwire my whole house. Everyone has been extremely nice and the service is great. I have had internet for about a week and the speeds have been exactly as promised. I'm very impressed and am relieved I chose stratusIQ as my internet provider. If you're on the fence, go with them. You won't be disappointed. read more

I have stratus IQ for about a year now because we are in a new build (Banning Lewis Ranch). They were the only cable/internet provider available when we moved in and we had sign a 18 month contract ( No problems the 1st year). Few week ago we were told that our old set would not work so we had to converted over to fire stick/stratus IQ. This system sucks to be point blank. Since converting i have call technical support twice. My complaints were tv voice go silent for about second when someone is talking every 3-5 minutes, 2nd complaint is that the voice that comes out of whoever is speaking doesn't match up with their lips ( pretty annoying). The 1st tech I spoke to said these problems are common with fire stick and the second tech I spoke to has put in a service order to look into it further..... I am still waiting for a solution. read more

Be advised, after canceling your service with StratusIQ it will take at least 3 months before you get your money back. It has been 3 months for me and still have not received anything. Very poor in my opinion. I would not be that upset if it were only $6. However it is $53 which makes a difference to me. read more

They are an okay service but don't plan on getting any support after normal business hours. The infrastructure is terrible and they don't feel like upgrading infrastructure once it is in place. I'm looking forward to switching providers in a few months but a connection that is at least 10 times faster for less. StratusIQ is not charging a fee if you use your credit card for auto-pay, they want people to give them access to pull money from your savings or checking account instead of using credit cards. I have enterprise level network gear in my house and it tells me whenever StratusIQ is not meeting what the advertised speeds or latency is. Very rarely does my connection show advertised speed and latency. StratusIQ also does maintenance in the middle of the day with no notification instead of at night like every other company. read more

Stratus bought Falcon broadband and the only reason I use them is it is the only choice in the neighborhood. The service is intermittent, the website is quite awful, and the webmail is terrible. I highly discourage using this company. read more

My fiber internet drops constantly, when you call you get told that there's no problem on their end so it must be on my end. I have bought all new equipment at their suggestion and still cannot stay connected, which by the way, if you get their TV service it relies on the internet service, so not only do you have no internet your TV also doesn't work, it's great! Save yourself the headache and just go with Xfinity or CenturyLink, at least those two companies will still be around for years. read more

I've only been with Stratus IQ a few months so I have very mixed feelings about this company. First the GOOD: the technicians who performed the install of the cabling in the yard, the install of the outside box, and the internal connection were OUTSTANDING! Absolutely fantastic group of guys! Also, working with Jenn in billing was a pleasure also. The NEUTRAL : I ordered 2.5 service but unfortunately they could not support at the time due to equipment shortages, no big deal so I settled for 1.0 service. However, my first bill came and I was charged for the 2.5 service, again, no big deal. Called the company and they adjusted my bill and I paid it on the same day. The BAD: My most recent bill was issued with credits that were already given to me last month (internal Stratus IQ accounting problem) showing the credits on this bill with a balance owed from the credit the rep provided me over the phone last month. Again, no big deal. Bill wasn't due yet, their accounting department reflected it this month instead of last month so it showed a small balance owed from last month due with my normal bill this month. HERES WERE IT GETS INTERSTING, Were not even at the due date yet and this company felt the need to call me every few days to resolve the small balance from last month (again reflected on this month's bill that's not even due yet) and continually barraging me with phone calls despite me talking with a rep who explained how it was an accounting error on the bill. Despite them owning up to the accounting error and a promise of no more calls, the harassing calls continued right up to the due date when I paid the bill. Is this company that broke were a few dollars that's reflected on a bill not even due yet means this much to them? By the way, the service is just okay. Granted it is faster, unfortunately, it has periods of drop out no different than my previous provider that was considerably less in cost. I'm sure they may respond calling me the problem, but I have never had a company act so petty of something so ridiculous. I doubt there customer service will change and to be fair to the ladies I spoke with, you were very pleasant, but your company's policies need immediate change! read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND! I have had internet service with this company for 2+ years and they disconnected my service after I called them and made arrangements via phone and email to pay. I called right after I realized they shut off service and spoke with the supervisor who was actually the same person I made payment arrangements with and he says he had no record of me calling in and that was that and I had to pay the bill plus a $25 reconnect fee!!!!! So basically he called me a liar because HE failed to put a note in the account when I originally called!!!! Horrible way to treat a customer!!!! I will be finding a different provider!! read more

So far I have had Stratus IQ for over a year. I have been really happy with their performance. Prior to them, I had Xfinity/Comcast which seemed to have an outage almost every month. I work from home, so having an internet outage impacts my livelihood. So far I have not had a single outage with Stratus for over a year and they have been extremely reliable. Falcon offered to provide a very expensive upgraded product. I am using this over priced and under performing product. The "internet only" package is around $140/month. I highly recommend using another service provider. Unfortunately, for me I have no viable options. This product is so slow. I am giving them a one star rating because they are the only provider in my area and it might be better than nothing. I think you might say they have a monopoly. One day I may decide to cancel this product and to go without internet at my home. If anyone knows of a satisfactory satellite internet provider please let me know. read more

StratusIQ customer support rocks! Worked with Jordan on how to best configure my modem and router when I increased my service from 100 to 500 MPS. Learned more about channel bonding and configuration then I could have had I spent an hour on YouTube. This internet that is forced on residents of Banning Lewis Ranch is a travesty. We are being forced to pay for unreliable internet connections that Falcon Broadband representatives are too lazy to come and fix. Instead, the opt to walk the customer through what potential changes could be made. Let me tell you, that is not my job. Their job is to provide internet service and to fix the issues residents have; they do not. They are advertising 25 mbps speeds that in actuality are 14. This contract NEEDS to be done away with so that residents can get package deals through reliable providers at a price that would be acceptable, instead of having to pay for two separate networks. One that works, and the other, from Falcon Broadband. read more

I used Falcon Broadband as it was the Internet service offered by the HOA. The internet service was consistently fast and reliable. Perhaps more importantly though, was the customer service. Setup was fast and quick (which is useful because I know NOTHING about internet service) and the tech, Jordan, was friendly and helpful. I had horrible internet service with Comcast, constant outages and problems. My family streams our TV service and we have had pretty much no issues with Netflix and other streaming services. I was concerned about the monopoly potential, but It's nice to find a local business that cares about their clients and is small yet effective. Recommended. read more

We moved into Banning Lewis Ranch three weeks ago, where Falcon Broadband has a tight stranglehold on the HOA and owns almost exclusive rights as the neighborhood ISP and TV cable service company. We have no complaints whatsoever about their Internet service...excellent fiber optics pipeline that comes straight into the house and provides reliable, wide-open bandwidth within the full limits of our data plan. Their TV cable service is just flat-out awful. HD channel offerings are anemic, premium HD channels (HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Movie Channel, Encore) are boringly limited to just one HD offering apiece, and feed problems occur on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time. We've had channels with perfect video that have zero audio, and channels (notably, CBS HD channel 502) that freeze for 10 - 15 seconds every 4 or 5 minutes for hours at a time. Resetting the cable box by unplugging the coax and power cords does nothing to fix these problems, and calls to Tech Support result in talking with technicians who do not even have TVs and/or cable boxes linked to Falcon Broadband services so they can observe the problems for themselves and who simply read off a scripted list of empirical steps in the hopes of stumbling over the customer's own stupidity as the root cause of the problem. DirecTV, Dish, Comcast...they offer far-superior TV services at competitive rates to what we collectively pay the HOA AND Falcon Broadband, so if they can do it, why are we paying almost the same amount for inferior service? In the month we've been in Colorado Springs, dealing with no less than 20 or 30 other local businesses for relocation needs, our sole complaint is with what we get for our money from Falcon Broadband for TV cable service. I totally recommend them if all you need is Internet service and you live within their fiber optics coverage area; they excel at Internet...but if you want 21st Century leading-edge TV cable service, stay away from Falcon Broadband. read more

Moved to Falcon three years ago. Great service but looking for Pay-per-view options and moved to a major satellite provider. After the 2-year contract, came running back. They now offer pay-per-view and the ability to steam from anywhere. The Internet service was second to none. Only negative thing was the limited HD content. If this is very important, you may want to consider someone else. However, I'm confident the pricing and customer service will over compensate for the limited HD content! read more

I don't use falcon broadband but apparently I have the utility box in my backyard. Regardless of that and the fact that they said they rang my doorbell I really don't appreciate them just waltzing in. My yard is my private property and was never made aware of the fact that something like this could occur from either my HOA or builder. read more
