I like getting my blood work at the Diagnostic Laboratory Service location at the Queen's POB III,…read moresince they open early as 6 am and as of now the parking is free for the first hour. I used to go to the Kaheka's location since they open early too, but you need to be early before the parking attendant starts working, but one time the stalls were mostly taken by the taxi cab vehicles parked overnight, so it may be a challenge to get a stall sometimes. The parking rates were going to increased at that time, and you needed to get out within the grace period that I remembered, otherwise you would have to pay for the parking. The DLS worker, Kwon (?) , would be good since I was a hard draw! it may take long on a busy day to make it out quick, so after that, I've been going to the Queen's POB III location. At this Queen's POB III has a lot of parking stalls, and the 2nd level which the levels goes by alphabets -maybe C/D level has mostly handicap stalls, so I just go to the E/F level which is the next level up. You take a number at DLS and either wait inside or outside. I try to go before work, but no way at 6 am since I heard many wait in line before they open. If I'm lucky and if I finish early, i get something from the cafe called Cooking Fresh in the lobby for breakfast. After a holiday or usually Mondays were the busy days. Service was good and I think they get more workers come in at 7am. You can pay or scan your parking ticket at the parking machine as you leave to the parking elevators from the 1st floor lobby. If the parking camera scanned & printed your license plate on your parking ticket, the parking gate arm will open as you slowly exit through or rescan your ticket as you leave. That's if you don't owe any more money. Most blood tests' results are ready same day unless test(s) are ones sent to the mainland. You can log in your account and check your blood tests results. I heard from before that DLS at that time was less than Clinical Lab. One doctor has a Clinical Lab inside his office and I remember paying a little more after my insurance covered. I heard some visiting Japanese patients from Japan don't have insurance so they pay out of pocket in CASH and it's less through DLS. I don't know if it's still is now. I just like all my blood work results kept with one laboratory place. I believe DLS is still own by Queen's Health Systems and it also appears in your My Chart account.

Around 11:40 am, we came from doctors office on 6th floor…read more The number which I pulled was 44 and number being served was 12. There were so many people waiting inside and outside. We waited for while. I told employee that mom needed urine sample so wrote her name on cup. Bathroom has 2 toilet rails on side and back. It was difficult to use both walker and transporter in space. There wasn't any need for care quality.

I arrived from the mainland and received a call from my primary doctor that the lab work I did a…read morecouple days ago was somehow canceled? I was in panic mode as my blood work was required for my upcoming surgery when I return back to mainland. Initially, I walked in a competitor (not Clinical Labs of Hawaii) lab. They didn't draw my blood as they needed a verbal authorization from my doctor's even though I have the lab order document in hand. It was past 5pm on the mainland so I doubt they can get authorization same day. I will give this other lab credit for suggesting I go to Clinical Labs. They gave me the address to the nearest location which I sped over to the Hale Pawa'a location. Office was on ground floor near the garage. I walked in a Monday late afternoon and luckily no one was in front of me. There was 2 staff who immediately greeted me with a smile at the desk. I explained my situation and what i needed, I provided my documents and the assurred me they'll take of me. My Phlebotomist was friendly and to the point. She assured me the results will not take too long (couple days) and will be sent to my doctor. Back at home I followed up with my doctor and lab work received! Thank you to the staff at Clinical Labs - Hale Pawa'a!

Loved the service…read more.. Did you know that they have this lab right in Hale Pawa'a as I frequent this building for several other services I had no idea it was here right on the ground floor too lol! You can find them yup on the first floor for super easy and convenient access just head left from the security desk and it's down the hall. Though the first hour is free at this location what I did actually was park outside at the metered stall as this building does fill up quite fast as I find myself swirling around several levels only to go all the way back down for a quick stick and if you park on Young Street just walk though the back loading zone where there's a door and it will lead you directly to the lab. You're also able to make reservations online to secure your spot incase of moments of several walk ins in it gives you priority which is nice especially if you're on a time constraint and it's always a blood draw for me so it was quick and easy process as the staff there did without any issues even the arm that most folks says they can't and that's a skill that worked amazing and no bruising. Awesome skilled and friendly staff that gave me the comfort to get it done so fast and easy. Thank you!

Her coworker came and went and then came back before finally making eye contact and asking if I had been helped? No, I haven't. Giving 3 stars solely for this 2nd tech as she was nice. As I was unable to get my blood work that day, I ended up going to another DLS location the next day where the service was more efficient and friendlier. I would not recommend this location.

Don't get me wrong, because, much love to the individuals that helped me out. I normally go to another one, however, decided to go to this one instead this time around. Mind you, I'm someone that is not a fan of needles. Anyway. I was greeted by a few young gentlemen. The first gentleman that helped me was real nice. Took all the necessary information that was needed to process my lab work and proceeded to draw my blood. However, the sad thing is that he was unsuccessful with collecting my blood.. twice. (I was poked on the top of my left hand and on the bend of my left arm) Apparently, if a worker is unsuccessful twice, they'll have to call for another person to come in (?). So, he called in another person. He was friendly as well and successfully was able to draw blood from my right arm. It seemed like he was more experienced in locating a vein. (Note: he did mention that for females, it is a bit harder to find our veins because they are smaller) Once the needle got into my right arm, I thought YAY, I don't have to worry about getting bloodwork done anymore. But, alas, that was not the case. The second gentleman, caught that they forgot to take two tubes of blood. He informed me about it, which, thank goodness he did and offered to poke again.. but I was like uhm, I'll think about it. (cries) (After being poked three times, I didn't wanna get poked the *fourth* time within that one day, ahhh) I ended up taking a rest from being a pin cushion and went to another location the following day. :')
