I was in panic mode as my blood work was required for my upcoming surgery when I return back to mainland. Initially, I walked in a competitor (not Clinical Labs of Hawaii) lab. They didn't draw my blood as they needed a verbal authorization from my doctor's even though I have the lab order document in hand. It was past 5pm on the mainland so I doubt they can get authorization same day. I will give this other lab credit for suggesting I go to Clinical Labs. They gave me the address to the nearest location which I sped over to the Hale Pawa'a location. Office was on ground floor near the garage. I walked in a Monday late afternoon and luckily no one was in front of me. There was 2 staff who immediately greeted me with a smile at the desk. I explained my situation and what i needed, I provided my documents and the assurred me they'll take of me. My Phlebotomist was friendly and to the point. She assured me the results will not take too long (couple days) and will be sent to my doctor. Back at home I followed up with my doctor and lab work received! Did you know that they have this lab right in Hale Pawa'a as I frequent this building for several other services I had no idea it was here right on the ground floor too lol! You can find them yup on the first floor for super easy and convenient access just head left from the security desk and it's down the hall. Though the first hour is free at this location what I did actually was park outside at the metered stall as this building does fill up quite fast as I find myself swirling around several levels only to go all the way back down for a quick stick and if you park on Young Street just walk though the back loading zone where there's a door and it will lead you directly to the lab. You're also able to make reservations online to secure your spot incase of moments of several walk ins in it gives you priority which is nice especially if you're on a time constraint and it's always a blood draw for me so it was quick and easy process as the staff there did without any issues even the arm that most folks says they can't and that's a skill that worked amazing and no bruising. Awesome skilled and friendly staff that gave me the comfort to get it done so fast and easy. Thank you!

They opened up at 7am which was a great fit for me. I was there a few minuets before they opened and there was one person waiting ahead of me. They opened right on time. Their office is very clean and organized. I was warmly helped by Alexis and after she updated my personal information and she took me right back. Alexis was just as efficient, and very hygienic with drawing my blood. We had a friendly conversation and when we were back out front I asked if there was a way I could see my lab results and she went through how to do that. This was an excellent experience and I would not have any issue bringing a loved or or recommending to anyone.

You can do it on the CVS app or the website. Times are usually available, and walk-ins are accepted as well. I managed to make an appointment on the same day. You check in at the kiosk, and just wait your turn. Valenso was the nurse practitioner who was there today. He was very friendly, personable, courteous, and professional. He makes you feel comfortable and at ease. You can come here for almost anything from minor injuries and illnesses to vaccines and injections to skin issues to earwax removal and then some. Overall, MinuteClinic is definitely useful. Super friendly staff. Clean and bright room. Very easy to make appointments for the same and next day.

This past weekend, we were experiencing a lot of rain and humidity which in Hawai'i, often comes with VOG, when the storm system comes from out South. So, when I woke this morning with some allergy symptoms, I decided to contact the CVS Minute Clinic instead of calling my PCP. The online process of contacting a CVS Minute Clinic was quick and easy. -Go to http://www.cvs.com. Select Minute Clinic. -You can look for the nearest site of Minute Clinic that is located in a CVS Pharmacy plus see what the waiting time is. -Make your selection and you will be assigned an appointment and a confirmation code. Your appointment time and code will be sent to your e-mail and phone (text). -Show up at least 5 minutes prior to your appointment to check-in at their dedicated kiosk. Of course, rather than scheduling an appointment, you can walk-in and they'll see you. However, just know that if you walk-in, those who have appointments will be seen before you. Today, I saw Reynard Nievera, ARNP, who was congenial and professional. He was thorough with his line of questioning as I described my symptoms. After taking my vitals, I told him that I was concerned that my symptoms were just due allergy to the VOG or possibly the onset of flu. Reynard took a couple of test samples and luckily it turned out that i was having allergies. He prescribed several medications which I was able to pick up from the CVS Pharmacy around the corner from this office. Also, I agreed to have follow-up calls to make sure the medications are helping to address and relieve my allergies. The Minute Clinic offers several programs that would augment those that your PCP would prescribe. Their business hours and locations are convenient (usually located inside a CVS store), especially if you're unable to get to your PCP on the same day. They even accept many health insurances. Go ahead and check online to see if you might be able schedule an appointment or walk-in to a Minute Clinic near you.

This place is very nice and clean, with ample parking. I love coming here because the staff is very nice, especially Stacy at the front desk. One time, I was super early for my 8 am appointment... she opened the front door for me, so I could sit inside the waiting room instead of standing outside. Dr. Laura Hernandez is super nice too. She explains things in detail, and she always listens to you. Conveniently, there is also a place in the same office to do labs if needed. Highly recommend this place for any of your non-emergency medical needs.

Sometimes you need to go through a few frogs to find the right one! While my old doctor was in the main building of Straub Hospital, my new PCP's office is located at Straub Clinic inside the First Insurance Center. It is across from Thomas Square on Ward and directly behind Straub Hospital. To go up to the clinic take the second set of elevators towards the back of the main entrance to the seventh floor. The waiting room was clean, bright, and spacious. I was able to quickly check in with the receptionist. The nurse was friendly and took me to the examination room. My doctor was ready to see me almost immediately after the nurse asked me some questions and took my vitals. I found my new doctor to be kind and approachable. After receiving my annual flu shot, I was given an after visit summary which I found to be extremely useful. It contained a summary of my visit and a plan for what I needed to do next. She ordered some blood tests and has since communicated with me about my test results on MyChart. It turns out that my blood pressure, cholesterol, vitamin, and calcium levels are in the healthy range. My annual physical was pleasant and I recommend to anyone who hasn't seen a doctor yet this year to make an appointment. My experience at Straub has been excellent, from the doctors to the nurses and staff, so I plan on returning to Straub more often whenever I need to see a doctor or specialist.

Physicians do travel and don't stay at the same location and since I'm tied to a specific one for workers comp which he's usually here on the particular day I visited but found out later that he wouldn't be but there is a doctor that would be able to fulfill my appointment was great. This Kahala location is literally located right outside of Kahala Mall though to access their parking lot you need to drive into Kahala Mall back parking lot and there's a driveway that will take you to the back side of the building. Entrance there is just the stairs but the front is wheelchair accessible but either way it's a nice spot that can get crowded. Lovely spot that quite different as the waiting room seems like it's for both patients and folks waiting for them as there seems to be spots you can work on and single stall restroom for convenience the staff there is very nice and friendly and some are based here for all sort of paperwork so I did finally get to meet some of the amazing staff. Inside is very roomy and spacious and the quality care they give is very calming and thoughtful. I got my appointment done and I'm all set for the year love this location and it is my preferred area but I do hope that I don't need a visit any time soon. Thank you!

I was scheduled an appointment at Hawaii Diagnostic Radiology Services located at St. Francis Medical Center in Liliha. My doctor took the liberty to schedule the appointment and I was committed to an evening off from work as it was scheduled for 9:15pm. Finding a doctor's appointment to fit my work schedule can be challenging, yet this one was out of the ordinary as I had no idea this center opens until 10pm. Late in the afternoon I received a call and voicemail from them asking if I could come in earlier than scheduled since a last minute cancellation was made making my appointment available from that point on. I immediately went in ASAP! First of all, parking was amazing! On a Tuesday evening when the busy work day comes to an end, Level 1 was completely empty. There were a few patients in the waiting area. But once I completed my personal information sheet, my name was called immediately. The technician was sweet and professional, she was fast and thorough, front desk administrator quickly validated my parking ticket and I was in and out within 15 minutes. By the end of the next day, I was told that my results would get forwarded to my PCP.

What I didn't realize is that I'm able to get my Trigger Thumb taken care of here and if I knew I would've done it much sooner as I though that I needed a specialist along with an X-ray which my doctor had said so as well only to see that he sent me here which is located in Hale Pawa'a ground floor and parking is free for the first hour and no they don't validate after but I did find meter parking right outside on Young Street since I don't like parking here as it gets very crowded. After register and waited for just five minutes I was seen by a lovely lady and she did all the questions and at least a dozen finger movements only to have the physical took one second and say awww ya that's a classic one and I said I just want the shot and given it in a second and be on my way. Was told it should be good in about a couple of weeks and though the feeling wasn't immediate in about a week I totally felt the difference and was just delightful to have my motion back. It was a learning experience for both the PA and myself and knowing that they have the option to return if needed is so promising and happy to know. Thank you!

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the front desk employee who checks patients in at the desk on the left side when you walk in. Both times I've been here, she's come across as cold and unwelcoming. Her tone is very monotone, and it felt like I was bothering her just by checking in. During my follow-up visit, it looked like she was eating lunch, so maybe the timing wasn't ideal, but this was the second time I had the same experience. After my first visit, I figured maybe she was just having a bad day. But after the same interaction happened again, I felt it was worth mentioning. I'm not trying to be mean or get anyone in trouble. I just think the person who greets patients is the first impression of the office, and a simple smile or friendly attitude can make a big difference. Especially in a healthcare setting where people may already be stressed or nervous. Other than that, my experience was great, and I'd definitely come back. I just hope the front desk experience becomes as welcoming as the care provided by everyone else.
