The three women who work there are exceptionally kind and considerate, even offering me water, as it was quite warm outside. The pendant was repaired and my ring resized in a few weeks. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a professional jeweler, who really did a fine job on my jewelry. Also, they have exquisite jewelry for sale. Another they said they didn't have the tool to open so they had to send it to the city, and the third they couldn't get the back back on so they offered to send that one to the city too. Never in all my years have I had a jeweler who couldn't replace batteries in any of my watches... I let her send the one she couldn't open at all to the city, because I figure let's trust them with one watch. She told me it would be back in one week. I left her my number and address. I am very patient when it comes to service so I waited and waited for the call that it was done. I finally called myself when it was a couple of weeks and the daughter stated that my watch was ready. I asked her why I wasn't called before and she said that she "thought" she did. She did not and if she had, she should have left a voicemail like other businesses. They charged $12 for the battery and replacement. There are two high end jewelry stores in rye and I should have just gone to either one. Both have excellent service and fair prices. I should have listened to my husband who did warn me about here saying he once went in to get me a gold locket and then he compared with Woodrow in Rye.. Woodrow in rye is more high end yet they charged him $100 less and offered better service. He has the patience to seek out and find the essential parts that are no longer being made, and he recently revived an 18-kt. Piaget watch for me. I bring him all my fine jewelry--for resizing, re-stringing, cleaning, and more. He and his warm and delightful wife, Dawn, are a fantastic team. I first met Frank after seeing a banner in his window, "Pearls restrung while you wait." Other jewelers usually send pearls out for restringing, and in addition to the annoyance of having to wait several weeks to have them back, at least one warned me of the risk involved: Better quality pearls could be stolen and replaced with inferior ones when "restrung." Having then done on the spot resolved both issues. Frank did a beautiful job, and he has been my jeweler ever since. In addition to the services mentioned, Frank and Dawn offer a nice collection of new and vintage pieces. Even if I don't have a piece that needs repair, I like to stop in to browse the jewelry they have for sale. I've been extremely satisfied with everything I've bought. One caveat: If you see something you like, particularly in their vintage jewelery, don't hesitate! I've missed out on a couple of things by not acting fast enough.
