    THE STEAK
    Mike B.

Fun atmosphere and good food! Stopped here for a quick drink and bite to eat before heading back to the hotel for the night. The town was hosting live music at the plaza across the street so we sat outside facing the plaza. It was a great way to enjoy our meal! The place was pretty packed because of the World Cup going on (Mexico vs Korea) so I understand why our server was a bit slow. She was handling tables inside and outside but keep in mind when it gets busy you may wait a bit longer for things. I ordered "The Steak" which is a hangar steak with a compound butter on top and Brussels sprouts on the side, I subbed potatoes for coleslaw. The steak was cooked nicely and had a great crust on the outside, very flavorful with just the right amount of saltiness. The Brussels were some of the best I've had even though they were so simple. I ate every last one! The slaw was ok but not a ton of flavor, it was pretty light on the sauce. We also got an order of bacon wrapped jalapeños with cilantro ranch. They were so good! We destroyed them in seconds while burning our tongues on the lava-like cheese. Worth it!

    IMPOSSIBLE BURGER with GF bun

We cam here a few minutes before kitchen closes and our server was nice and let us decide on what we want quickly. I ordered the Impossible burger with fries.. and it did not disappoint! The burger came with a vegan thousand island spread but i did not try it and it was still very tasty! I wish they will change that vegan spread into like a bbq type flavor.. The fries were amazing! Our server was very nice and pleasant. Will def come back!

Good food, good beer, good service, nice clean atmosphere definitely worth the stop. GET THE TACO's- Best deal on the menu 5 fully stuffed Tacos all delicious flavors. We had the shrimp and the cauliflower couldn't get near finishing all of them. The pretzel while expensive was delicious as well great cheese sauce. Nice array of beer choices and sitting outside on the sidewalk on a beautiful day of definitely the way to go!! Friendly service clean atmosphere. Will definitely stop by again.

After living here for years, I'm surprised it took us this long to stop here. We sat at the bar, service was fast besides when it came to getting our bill. The seating was comfortable, there were plenty of TVs with great views, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Our bartender was friendly and gave us great recommendations. I had the tomato soup, and my husband ordered the cuban I think? both were fresh, flavorful, and exceeded our expectations. The only downside was the raspberry lemon drop, which wasn't our favorite. Go to Buena Tavola for that. Next time, we'll stick with one of their beers on tap. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were fantastic. We'll definitely be back!

This place was pretty cool! Was looking for a spot to wet the whistle and this came up as a suggestion. I walked around to a couple other places but decided this place was more of my vibe, and I'm glad I did! Got seated pretty quickly. The service was top notch. The drinks were interesting, in a good way! And I got their mac'n cheese to go. That was pretty dang good! I saw some of the food other patrons were wording and it looked phenomenal! Definitely recommend!

What a fun experience. Hit the spot as we had no clue what to eat in Paso after a fun night. The food was on par and the beer selection was great. Thalia our server at the bar was as super attentive. Talked to us about our visit and gave great suggestions to visit in the area. If you're staying in Paso it's a likely chance you'll hit this place!

Oh my word. I know you can go so wrong with a lamb burger... But these guys did it SO right. Truly, one of the best burgers I've ever had... I love that they had a gluten-free bun, but it was so filling that I probably should've just gotten it protein style so I could finish the whole thing, including my delicious sweet potato fries! I'm a very picky patron, as I prefer to cook my own food. It's so incredibly hard for me to enjoy a meal out,... And this one did not disappoint! I would absolutely come back here over and over.

Great location, outside and inside seating, good food with nice a vibe inside. We really liked our food and it felt like you got your monies worth. The taco plate was a delightful surprise when it arrived...pleasant presentation. 5 tacos, the plate was beautiful. The lamb burger was decadent. It you were going to have a burger for dessert, this would be it. It was savory with a sweet ending. Incredible.

I really enjoyed this spot! There are a lot of American/breweries in this area but I'm glad we came here. The service was really kind and helpful with our original seating issues and re-seated us with no problem. The food had large amounts and all were great! My only rec for the tacos is to make them double-tortillas, it was really messy and flimsy with one tortilla each. Otherwise, was great and casual, would go back!

Needed a pick me up between wine tastings so we decided to stop in for some espresso tini's - while they didn't have an actual espresso martini on the menu, the bartender was happy to make us a version of one with cold brew. The drink was good and was exactly what we needed to continue on for our day! We sat at the bar and received friendly service from the bartenders. They checked in frequently and made sure we had what we needed.

We stopped by StreetSide craving something quick, tasty, and satisfying -- and it totally hit the spot! What first caught our eye were the street-style fries, loaded with a creamy mayo-cheese base, Parmesan, bits of bacon, pepperoncini, and a sprig of rosemary on top. Such a flavorful combo -- delicious! We also tried the sliders, and I swapped out the usual blue cheese and balsamic for cheddar/maybe jack -- excellent choice. The sliders were juicy, well-seasoned, and perfectly sized. Overall, great place for a quick bite that feels elevated, with flavors that surprise you in the best way. Definitely worth a stop if you're nearby( at least get few beers and sliders). Staff is very friendly and a decent beer selection

My partner and I discovered Street Side Ale House at Firestone Invitational three years ago when they were serving up their street mac and cheese. Every year, we talked about going later that night because if a small sample was SO good, their regular food must be amazing...but it never happened. Well, this was the year. We were seated very quickly when we arrived. Our server was on break, so another server took our drink order. He was friendly enough. We decided to share their famous bacon wrapped burger and the street mac and cheese that we LOVE so much. Street Mac and cheese is phenomenal. Come here for that. The rest? Meh. I really disliked the burger. I took barely two bites and something was off. Was it a frozen patty? I don't know but I didn't taste any bacon. If this is their famous burger I have no interest in trying their non-famous food! Our regular server returned from break. She wasn't rude, but never checked to see how things were. And then the check came. There's a 2.99% operational fee on the check. It's a small amount...that's not the issue. It's sneaky...it's not on the menu anywhere. Other places have it listed on the menu, similar to 'parties of 6 or more...blahblahblah'. Even that wasn't on the menu. Two stars...and that's for the street mac and cheese. Otherwise, it's a hard pass for me.

    Carnitas nachos

Street Side was one of the few places open on fourth of July. We were seated right away. We weren't looking for too much food. We just wanted a snack before we went wine tasting. We also decided to order a couple of drinks while we were at it. We only got the carnitas nachos to eat as we were planning to get dinner later that night. The nachos were delicious, but the portion size felt small for the price. We did enkoy our drinks. I got the bee's knees and my wife got a raspberry mojito. The restrooms were a very inside the building, but it is quite a walk to get there and they were very dirty that day. They really smelled and there was trash all over the floor. My wife said the women's restroom was also dirty. Overall a positive visit, but the cleanliness of the restrooms was a damper on our experience here.

First, you line up at the entrance, then you ring the doorbell, but only once as the sign warns. You are greeted through a peekaboo window in the door where they ask your party size. You are then taken in groups of three or less to a vestibule where they lock down your phones so you can't take any pictures and then you are seated in the dark and moody atmosphere. They don't split checks, so be ready to order as a group. There's a 90 minute time limit as well, so don't dawdle. Highlights of our order included the Butter Pecan Old Fashioned (so good!) and the Banana Daiquiri. We stayed for the full 90 minutes and when we left there was a long line waiting to get in. Go early if you want to get one of the few seats inside or be prepared to wait. We loved our experience.

We arrived just minutes after 5pm on a Thursday, with only one group ahead of us -- about a 5-minute wait before we were ushered in. They do check IDs, so bring one, or find somewhere else to drink. After the secret knock and moving a book in the entryway library, the door opens into a 1920s-style bar: heavy, dark wood, and very limited seating, with just 8 seats at the bar and two larger seating areas for groups. I believe our bartender's name was Matt -- the last of the original employees since Eleven Twenty-Two opened eight years ago. He was great, walking my girlfriend through the menu when she asked for recommendations, and sharing some great insight when we asked about the bar's history and the mixology behind the drinks. She started the evening with a Mexican Firing Squad -- very margarita-like, with tequila, lime, house-made grenadine, and Angostura. I wasn't quite as adventurous and wanted to keep things simple, so my first round was a martini, stirred and dry. The fun didn't stop there, since we had 90 minutes to relax before our dinner reservation. Round two was a Slow and Foamy -- a lemongrass- and fennel-infused vodka with egg white. It was an interesting drink; flavors you wouldn't expect to work together, worked together beautifully. It's an in-house creation by the female bartender, whose name I didn't catch. Torn between a Sidecar and a Manhattan, I went with the Sidecar, since I hadn't found a good one anywhere else in Paso. Matt poured a really nice one -- not too sweet, with a sugar-rimmed glass and well-balanced simple syrup. Like every drink that night, it was beautifully balanced. We finished with a Banana Daiquiri -- their unique take on the drink, without the slushy ice or fake banana flavor. This was probably the best drink of the night for both of us, and we shared it. It's not cheap, but a night out for drinks never is. That wouldn't stop me from bringing out-of-town guests here -- they'd love this kind of historical, speakeasy-style setting. I really appreciated the staff's attention and professionalism. We had a great time. Thanks, Eleven Twenty-Two!
