This is a hotel bar! Perfect location, in center of Paseo Robles! The trees and lighting make it remarkable! We tried a couple of their famous wine and loved them all! Bar/winery hopping is the best thing you can do in this city! During Christmas/new year time they are supper busy so if you want faster service, you better go to the bar and order yourself! We got couple appetizers as cheese platter and charcuterie, very tasty and fresh!

At first, we thought this place was some kind of a private equestrian club. It's not! It's a hotel, with a restaurant and bar. We decided to return later that day for drinks, and I'm so glad we did! The service was extremely friendly and fast, the drinks were amazing, and the food was delicious! We had the cheese plate, and it was beautiful and tasty. The live music was also excellent! I definitely recommend a visit. I'm just really sad that we didn't get the chance to have dessert there.

Mom & I stumbled upon the Pony Club because we heard the live holiday music and it was the absolute best find!! Kiki took wonderful care of us and gave us the best suggestions including, the candy cane espresso martini and deviled eggs! Also the live musician, Will Breman, (from the Voice!) was amazing and put us in the holiday spirit! 10/10 experience and highly recommend this spot downtown.

My husband and I were thrilled to hear about the reopening of the Pony Club, post-pandemic. We just went on a Friday night, to find live music as early as 5:00 p.m. The artist was Emily Smith, who has an amazing voice and appears to be a recurring act on their calendar for the near future. It was already crowded by the time we arrived at 5:15, with no outdoor seating (luckily a table opened up about 5-10 later). There is an indoor bar and a few tables inside also, but we love the ambiance of sitting outside (weather permitting), where they have wonderful lighting and many outdoor heaters. We were pleased to see they now offer craft cocktails as well as wine, beer and cider. They continue to have a limited food menu. We ordered their trio of sliders, which have the option of adding a salad or fries, at additional cost. I opted to not add a side (to save room for dessert), but my husband added fries. We both loved the sliders, which came with bacon, cheese and arugula. They had a nice spicy taste to them, but not so heavy-handed for those who cannot handle spicy foods. The sliders were pretty filling, so this dish could likely be split for two people, for those with lighter appetites and a desire to try dessert. The sticky toffee pudding was AMAZING and totally worth the calories. I hope this stays on their menu, as it is SO good!! I kept my drinks in the rum group with their Spiked Chai, followed by the Christmas Campfire. The Chai came in a coupe style glass and was very yummy, the sweeter of the two drinks for sure. I could drink this cocktail every night! The Christmas Campfire came on the rocks in a highball glass, with a toasted marshmallow on a drink skewer. It was less sweet and more strong as a cocktail, definitely more of a 'sipping' drink when compared to the Spiked Chai--still very good though. My husband had his usual Old-Fashioned , which he enjoyed also. The service was friendly and attentive. Their outside patio is dog friendly, and their schedule implies that live music may be scheduled for both Fridays and Saturdays. We will definitely be back, maybe next time with our well-behaved doggies!

Gorgeous dog-friendly patio with comfortable seating and live music.

One of my favorite spots in Paso for small bites, excellent service in an outdoor venue with live music. Bonus is that they are dog friendly and have amazing frites. They have limited indoor seating and service as well for the colder nights.

The patio rocks! We enjoyed happy hour under a nice canopy of trees on the patio. Note...dog friendly! Located right off the town square and adjacent to Hotel Cheveral. Very friendly staff and quite attentive I must say. Just great service! We enjoyed some appetizers of caprese with heirloom tomatoes and hummus and pita. Both were excellent and i reccomend. They have local wines available. I had a local craft brewery IPA though. It hit the spot on a warm afternoon. The bathrooms were spotless and were Jen G approved. Stop by and enjoy happy hour it's a happening place with a great vibe.

Nice place to enjoy happy hour on a weekday. It is conveniently located just off the main square. It's connected to the Hotel Cheval. We enjoyed two appetizers of caprese salad and hummus and it was good. They feature a local winery for tastings. We opted out of this since we had been wine tasting earlier. Though, hubby did have an IPA to quench his thirst. The service was very good. We had three attentive servers waiting on us. It's comfortable seating on the outside patio, with the large oak tree as the main focal point. And it's dog friendly. The only thing to note is that there is no breeze that flows through the patio and it got a little hot on this warm and muggy evening we were there. Perhaps a strategically placed fan would help. There is also the option to sit inside the air conditioned bar area too. Pony Club is worth a try

Tucked away on a back street in Paso lies this interesting and very amazing venue. I would have never imagined in my wildest dreams going to a place like this, let alone what was inside. To be honest, I at first felt like I was entering the twilight zone, the first time I came here. In the back of my mind, I was thinking, " Is this what it felt like going to something like this during prohibition times? Now, in this post, I will not share all about your entrance, etc., into this place, as that takes the fun out of it, but I must add that if you are in the Paso area, this is a must on your list. Let's go back and recreate yesteryear, a very intimate and very exclusive, club-like atmosphere. You never know who is watching you; it's all that mystery. Does it feel a bit like the game CLUE"? You tell me. :-) Just remember this: speak easy, abide by their rules, speak quietly, and have fun!

I had my eye on the lamb shank ahead of time, and it turned out to be perfection--easily the standout dish of the night. I've dined at many great restaurants, and they truly executed it beautifully. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, with thoughtful decor and a warm, inviting atmosphere (something I always pay attention to). Service was excellent--attentive without being overbearing. It's now at the top of my Paso Robles restaurant list, and we'll definitely be back. We belong to a couple of wine clubs in the area, so this will be a regular stop for us--especially for that lamb shank. My wife found this place on our most recent visit to Paso Robles - Good eyes!…read more We dropped in on a Tuesday night - we came in after a group of 6 were seated, and were seated within a few minutes. The place was really busy. I could see several flat screen TVs over the bar playing the World Cup, and the bar was slammed. We dithered over the menu - they provided a drink menu and a food menu. I ended up ordering a Trio - which was comprised of a Spicy Tuna sandwich, a Baja Burger (which was also spicy) and their Garlic Fries, which were served with a dish of a very spicy garlic aioli sauce that my wife and I shared. My wife ordered a Duo with a Vacation Mode sandwich which featured pesto chicken, hummus, olive tappanade, and garlic aioli. She really liked her sandwich. She paired that (Duo you get 2) with a California Cowboy Cobb salad, which as you can see in the photos, was quite large. The food was served hot and fresh - the fries were very nice shoestring type, and were cooked properly. I have had "spicy" Tuna sandwiches before - this was the first one which was really spicy - it was perfect. A nice slab of seared tuna as well. The burger was just plain good. They call the burgers "sliders" because they are around 3 inches in diameter. If you have a larger appetite, figure it out. The drinks were good - I ordered the Old Fashioned (if you don't know what that is, try one) and my wife ordered the more exotic Beauty School Dropout, which had Crowbar Pink Gin, Elderflower liquer, lavender and honey syrup, lemon AND lime juice which was served in a chilled cut glass coup glass. Yes, I know I used "glass twice". It was very tangy and refreshing. The place has large doors which were open with seating both inside and outside. There were larger tables for larger groups. Take a minute to go over the menu, or you might miss the slider of your dreams.
