Finally made it back for Spring break and enjoyed more of it by signing up for the brewery tour. I know the burgers are the way to go and tried 3 different burgers this time, with 3 different fries skinny, lion, garlic parm, lol. Different is good, but I think the classic 805 smash burger is the KISS, keep it simple stupid, fav. Same with fries, skinny or lion are the best. The garlic parm upgrade was tasty but too oily. I love the regular fries with their crack ranch sauce to dip into. Oh, I did get to try a sample of one of the sours. Never had sour ale before, so this was a great chance to try it out! Definitely an acquired taste, as it was not for me. Glad I didn't just order a glass of it! I'll stick to my fav kiss UDBA, lol. For the brewery tour, my bad in misunderstanding in signing up. Per person over 12 does not mean the ticketed participant pays to drink the samples, while under 12 can go for free without samples. It means, no one under 12 can go on tour period (not just stroller babies, anyone under 12 is no go), it's the law so that's that. They kindly offered to still get me beer flight while I relaxed in the room with the under 12 kid:) All the beers I chose were delicious and I had a great time chatting with Ms. April, like a personal bartender! Tour came back in about an hour and wife was tired from it. Glad I stayed behind to just enjoy the tour, since inside the factory was loud when had to enter the door to use the restroom. So if thinking of doing beer flight in the restaurant, just go across the street and do the tour without doing the tour and enjoy the flight here! A must stop in Paso for me. I still need to hit the one in Venice - Marina Del Rey area... Wife recommended to her coworker and they went to that location and loved the burgers and beer. So if can't make it up to Paso for the OG location, the one in LA is much closer for us LA/OC folks. April told me the Sunglider beer they had was developed in the Venice/Marina location, and it's become popular to become a permanent offering or something. We sat on the patio which was nice on a warm Saturday afternoon with a kiddo. lots of cute dogs to look at. but no one came to check on us, I had to ask the hostess and someone came out. We ordered 2 beers- 805 cerveza & mind haze, waters, kids chicken tenders, kids lemonade, tritip Sando, and 805 fish tacos. We got our food pretty quick which I appreciated but had to wait for the utensils and kids lemonade. My fish tacos were meh, tasted plain with batter being the main flavor. Was hoping they would taste amazing with the 805 cerveza but it was meh. Hubby loved his tritip sando. He loved the bbq sauce and aoli sauce. He ate it all up. I love that they have meat free and dairy free options, and my husband was happy with his meat full option. We sat on the back patio, in the perfect weather and our server was very attentive. Always a ritual to stop by and get 805 Cerveza with 805 smash! The smashburger is a perfect blend of meat, juicy cheese, onions, pickles, house sauce and with the soft bun. Every bite was great and Wasn't overwhelming in any way. Perfect smash burger! Also got the buffalo chicken wings this time which was decent but can be skipped if you're not into it. We stopped on the way home from Cambria. We had the dogs so (6) of us plus (3) dogs sat on the patio, under the heaters, very cozy. Server was friendly and attentive. We ordered the pretzel and Parmesan cheese fries as an app along with a couple of beers, a Coke and my Diet Coke. Pretzel came with cheese sauce and mustard, big Bavarian type twist, plenty to share. Fries were great, came with ketchup, plenty to share. We ordered a couple of smash burgers (shared) and I got the fish and chips with steak fries. Even tho we live close by, we hadn't been here in over 6 years and decided it was time to visit again. We arrived shortly after noon on a Monday and were seated quickly in a booth in the bar area. The ambiance in there is great! Especially love the beer conveyor belt overhead. Unique & cool so we were glad to see it still the bar focal point. The menu had changed quite a bit since our last visit. We had the smash burger & the chicken sandwich. Both were tasty and we liked the presentation - and both were a noticeable step up from what we used to get here. So great job on upping their food game! The burger was delicious albeit a wee bit greasy & messy - glad I got the sauce on the side. My partner said the chicken sandwich was tasty yet messy, and had a bit of an identity crisis in that it had a lot of flavors that were nice independently but not terribly cohesive. Well executed fries. Nice touch served in a paper bag - not greasy & perfectly salted. Server was super nice - but - 4 stars only for service bc he forgot our requested waters & then brought us the check before we ordered our second round of beers. Note: it wasn't busy so they weren't trying at all to rush us, they just falsely assumed we didn't want more beers. I was only halfway thru mine while my partner's was empty and moved towards the edge of the table (universal sign for "beer me, please!". Server was cute about it but we would have stayed and enjoyed even more beers if he had asked if we wanted another round. So - glad we came back to check out the newer menu. Beers are consistently good here and definitely THE reason to visit. The DBA is especially exquisite. Lots of seating options - patio, bar, dining room. Parking can be a challenge. Firestone Walker is a place that should be visited at least once if you like good beer. It's not always where the locals go, but it caters wonderfully to visitors & travelers. We felt like we hit the jackpot when we found out we could visit Firestone Walker while we were in town. We've had several of their special brews so getting a chance to try them in person was a real treat! We were seated immediately by the friendly host staff and we were off to the sampling races in no time! Our attentive server Nicholas was so helpful and provided great service and suggestions! We got a few flights of some brews we've never had a chance to try before and snagged a few bottles and cans to go to enjoy at a later time. We were there around lunch time so we wanted to get a bite to eat too and that was definitely a good choice! We decided to share a braised rib on a bed of polenta with roasted vegetables which was absolutely delicious and oh so tender! It was very refreshing to see families gathering around us and all the laughter and joy filling this large space! All of the staff were noticeably happy so it felt good to see that too! We had no idea Firestone Walker was in Paso Robles but now we know! We couldn't believe how large the production facilities were when we pulled up! Wish we had more time to be able to do a tour but we'll have to plan for that next time we're in town. It was our first time in the area but it won't be our last! We can't wait to come back! First of all reading some of these reviews on here is whack. It is a BREWRY that has food. Yes brewery's are cold. Sit outside if you are too cold inside. We came here for first time and service, food and beer were outstanding. We have high standards too. I likes the smash burger so much I ordered two of them. I probably should have stopped at one cause it was plenty but it was just so darn good. We left with a bunch of cans of beer too. Would go back for sure! read more

This is our second Firestone Taproom we have been to. The first one was in Buellton. Very large dining area and a good amount of 805 Merch (my husband already has it all). My husband ordered a burger with fries and I ordered Mac n Cheese (appetizer size). Food came out quickly and the beers were cold and refreshing. When we visited, the restaurant was about three quarters full and steady foot traffic kept coming in. It did feel slightly understaffed for the volume, but the bartenders and servers handled it well. Despite the pace, service never felt chaotic or careless. They managed the flow professionally, which says a lot. The beer is exactly what you expect from Firestone Walker: fresh, clean, and consistently excellent. One of the biggest perks of going directly to the brewery is access to draft pours and bottled releases that do not make it out to other metropolitan areas. If you are into sours or stouts, you will be happy. Their core lineup is strong, and the rotating tap selection keeps things interesting. You can stick with the classics or try something new every visit. Across the street, the Emporium is worth stopping into. If you are looking for branded merchandise, this is the place. They lean heavily into the 805 theme, but there is still a wide range of Firestone Walker gear and plenty of bottles, cans, and even kegs available to take home. Overall, it is a great stop whether you are a casual beer drinker or someone who follows craft releases closely. Weekdays are definitely the better time to go. It can get crazy busy on the weekends! Visited during a trip to Paso Robles this fall. We had little ones with us and wanted to make the dinner experience easy so we decided to stay away from downtown because parking/crowds are tricky. I really wanted this to be a yummy meal but it fell flat. It is your typical pub/bar food. The burger was not bad and the fries were just fine. We did a beer flight because it's worth it to do that at this location. The service was not amazing. She had a lot of tables. This brewery is huge and you'll probably see it as you are driving on 101. We came here for beer and dinner and I love that you can order individually with QR code at the table. I got a Pear Saison beer and it is delightful. I don't drink beer much but I love this one and would come back for this. However it's the food item that I didn't quite like. I ordered the fish and chips off of their signature menu. But the fish came soggy and is completely falling apart. I felt so bad sending it back but the service is amazing and they made a new one. The new one also came falling apart. It's somehow fresh and soggy at the same time. The batter is just offfffff the fish like no tomorrow. And it really kills the fish and chips experience you know. The thing is. This is a signature menu item. It's not your afterthought food item. I would imagine a signature item is well thought out but it didn't deliver. The chips tho are delicious! It's nicely fried, could be crispier on the outside but this is good enough. The inside has very tall ceilings and it feels very open. I've been to the Buellton location and this was my first time visiting the one in Paso. It's basically on a Firestone Walker compound, and very spacious indoors and out! Finally made it to Firestone Walker to try out some of my fave beers! This is a really cool location with the brewery and taproom in one spot. It is a very industrial looking complex that added to the experience. The taproom is huge with plenty of seating. We ordered the Cali-Western Smash Burger. This was a really good burger with the bacon and BBQ sauce. The potato bun added a nice touch to the burger. We also ordered the meat pizza. It had great taste and substance, but the cust could have been cooked longer. The server was really helpful and quick to get us beers and allowed us to taste a couple prior to committing. They have several beers that I had not seen before and was happy to taste them out. We wished they had the Cali Squeeze on tap so that we could try them out. We got there a little late and missed going to the merch Emporium, also located in the same complex. They do have a small merch section in the taproom, but apparently they have much more in the Emporium. read more

We had just finished our tour of the brewery and we were hungry so we decided to grab a bite at their restaurant. We initially didn't have high expectations since many other brewery restaurants we had visited had mediocre food. But we were truly surprised at the quality and taste of the food. We were seated fairly quickly and upon ordering our food, the food arrived with minimal delay. We had ordered various items to share in addition to our own plates. The Brussels sprouts were definitely sweet, but not too over the top. The carne asada fries and pretzels were hits. I had ordered the Merlin Mustard Glazed Ribs and I was curious (and a bit concerned) if I had made the right choice since badly cooked ribs can end up like cardboard. But the ribs turned out to be delicious. The meat fell off the bone and was juicy. The tangy bbq sauce that came on the side with the ribs really paired well with the ribs. Another great time at Firestone Brewery restaurant. All the food I've gotten here has been great. Today I decided on fish sticks. Love them! Always. We got the huge pretzel, which is so yummy and soft. We got a flight of beers and I tried a fruit seltzer, which was really good. I'm not a beer person so that says a lot. Didn't taste like beer, but taste like fruit and had more alcohol than the 805 had. We sat inside, our the waitress was wonderful. Always a great time. Not many people on this Sunday afternoon. It's like slightly spicy..cheesy, delicious all at once! Great balance of flavors. I like how they make their crust, pretty crunchy on the outside but incredibly soft in the inside. PROS: - There's outdoor seating that's DOG FRIENDLY. - The staff here are really nice and professional. - The burgers and sandwiches are FANTASTIC here. - The fries are also excellent and come with a hefty portion when ordering. - OF course, the beer is good as well. - There's a good merch store down the street from the actual restaurant that carries lots of stuff, from shirts, sweaters, mugs, to shot glasses. CONS: - I'm not sure if there is a parking lot, but the only parking we could find was on the street. - If you're seated outside, there is a VERY STRONG SMELL of hops either steaming or cooking that drifts towards you. If you don't like the smell, it can be very distracting and annoying. PRO-TIP: - Get their flight of beers to get a taste of several beers without filling your gut. read more

We also tried a non-alcoholic beer which was 12 ounces and had a light and mild flavor. The fish was fresh and tender. You cannot get garlic fries with it for an up charge though. The salad had good flavors. The garlic fries were a little overpriced, but the server ended up giving them to us half off since they came out after the entrees. Drove on the 101 towards Los Angeles where I passed by tons of signs advertising 805s and Firestone Walker, had to make a pit stop here! We got there right as it opened and were seated quickly. Throughout the time we took to dine, the place got filled up quickly with people. They have seasonal/limited edition beers and their food is quite good. Our server checked in on us a lot of times which is great but it felt like it was every two minutes so we felt pressured in ordering quickly and eating. Otherwise, still a great experience. Across the street, they have a brewery tour (cost extra - about $15), and the emporium is a short drive from the restaurant where you get $5 off for showing your receipt from the restaurant to buy some cool merch! Tri-tip sandwich - 10/10, delicious and pairs really well with their 805 Mac & Cheese - 8/10, good and creamy but nothing particular that stood out to me Garlic fries - 8/10, it's skinny fries so not much potatoes in it and the garlic was just perfect. We got a flight filled with limited edition beers and obviously, 805. The beers offered got us overwhelmed since everything looked good but we didn't want to drink all day.
