Tropical drinks on your list? Then this is your spot. We stopped here while we waited for our dinner reservation . I ordered a lava frozen cocktail ( half strawberry daiquiri and half pina colada with the a shot of coconut rum). Yum yum take me to paradise! My husband ordered a beer. We enjoyed being able to talk to the bartender.

The vibe is on point--fun and exactly what you want from a tiki bar. The service was excellent. They were friendly, attentive. And the drinks? Dangerous in the best way. Our punch bowl was a blast to share, and the holiday shooters were served in cute shot glasses... let's just say they definitely got us lit If you're looking for strong, creative cocktails, a killer atmosphere, and a fun night out, Cane Tiki Room is a must. Can't wait to come back!

Nothing like walking into a bar right when it opens, instead of closing one down. We arrived at Cane's, my buddy and I were the first two customers in there, as we took our seats at the end of the bar expecting a third, my girlfriend as soon as she finished work. While she had been to Cane's before neither of us had. We were greeted and provided menus for food and drink. With dinner coming shortly, we passed on the appetizer menus and ordered a few rounds of drinks. The ambience was great with that South Pacific motif and use of bamboo (or fake bamboo). Loved how many of the unique drinks were served in coconuts or glassed like a scorpion, pig or parrot. Would I go back? Yeah I would with friends. It's a great and fun place to start an evening.

Cute little tiki bar with really amazing drinks and decor. The bartenders are friendly and helpful without being too intrusive. The vibe is chill and a great place for drinks before or after dinner.

The Tiki Room is definitely a great spot for excellent cocktails and tasty snacks. My wife and I popped in for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. The cocktail options are endless--fun, quirky, and full of character. For drinks, we tried the Lapu Lapu, Green Flash, and the Scorpion (yes, it came out in flames ). All three were refreshing and well-balanced. On the food side, we went with the Pork & Veggie Spring Rolls, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Spam Musubi, and the Pork & Shrimp Dumplings. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly filling for small plates. But that dipping sauce with the dumplings... you could seriously put that shhh on anything. Absolutely amazing. We sat at the bar, and our bartender (the only female working that day) was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Wish I had remembered her name.

I came here for drinks and vibes--and Cane's absolutely delivered. I didn't end up eating (even though the food looked amazing--definitely coming back for that), but the drinks? Let me tell you. I started with the Phantom, which was absolutely delicious--balanced, flavorful, and just the right amount of mysterious. After that, I went rogue and ordered the Dragon Slayer. Now... was it tasty? Not exactly. It was strong. Like stare-into-the-abyss-and-it-stares-back strong. But honestly, the presentation was top tier--it looked so good, I didn't even care. The ambiance is laid-back and fun, with a hint of tropical drama in the best way. Everyone I met--staff and guests--was genuinely warm and welcoming. I ended up chatting with a few people at the bar and loved the whole energy of the place. Next time I'll plan to stay for food, but even just stopping in for a couple drinks turned into a highlight of my Paso Robles trip. Come for the cocktails, stay for the people--and maybe skip the Dragon Slif you're not feeling brave.

This year, I've embraced the Sippin Santa menu. Absolutely enjoyed everything about this place. Excellent drinks, Mongolian Beef, and Potstickers. Seated in a nice booth. Hope to come back this week.

Great staff, great service, came in for poke so I didn't try any of the drinks. The vibe is super cute. I love the seats and the decor and how colorful the menu is. Will have to try the drinks in the future. Ahi Tuna 5/5 stars- super fresh and the most perfect green and fresh avocado slices. Will have to come back and try other items.

We loved it! My group of friends went to Paso for the weekend for wine tasting and ended up at at tiki room two nights in a row! The atmosphere was perfect and fun! The drinks were cute and we loved having a table to fit us all! Staff was friendly too! (And the giant bowl of green beans was on point!)

Funky fun vibes!!! Ambiance: cutest Tiki room outside of Disney's tiki room. Love all the decorations and lighting. Very nicely done, seating and wall art. Fun vibes. Reminds me of Disneyland. Service: awesome and attentive at the bar on a Monday night Drink: good but not very strong Taro Taro: very tasty and my favorite of the night. I like the coconut milk in it. Electric Feel: perfectly strong reminds me of limoncello meets mint mojito Lapu Lapu: very sour can't taste the passionfruit more like pineapple Trade winds: sweet, creamy and strong! Loved the added dash of nutmeg

Fun tiki bar in the downtown area of Paso Robles! Tropical vibes, colorful lights, and a lot of cocktails to choose from. We came here after dinner at Fish Gaucho next door (highly recommend) and got a Mai Tai to end the night. A well made cocktail and would come back again. They have some more theatrical cocktails with smoke and fire that some nearby diners got that looked super fun too. Service was friendly and nice also!

Good overall approach but more of a tiki-style restaurant vs a tiki bar. There's a common approach of more modern interior tiki bars with a strip mall feel and whatnot but still a funny tiki characteristic to it. That's just the decor though not always something a business can control in today's bureaucracy. Now onto the service. They were super friendly and accommodating. Dog friendly event though they don't have an outdoor patio. Food was really tasty. Drinks were fun. Although because it was Christmas time they only offered their holiday menu. I guess Beachbum Barry really wants those holiday bar kit proceeds :( a bummer for us passing through as my husband likes to try the Mai Tai on his first visit to any bar. But again not the end of the world. Food prices were pretty high though esp once you made any additions like $8 for fried rice over plain. Would got again for sure.

We had a great time at Cane Tiki Room after a day of wine tasting. I recommend the Mongolian beef, I just wish it was a little less salty but it's just the nature of the dish. They sell a custom tiki mug which comes with a free drink. Really enjoyed our dinner and drinks here. The phantom is well balanced and strong!

To be honest, I at first felt like I was entering the twilight zone, the first time I came here. In the back of my mind, I was thinking, " Is this what it felt like going to something like this during prohibition times? Now, in this post, I will not share all about your entrance, etc., into this place, as that takes the fun out of it, but I must add that if you are in the Paso area, this is a must on your list. Let's go back and recreate yesteryear, a very intimate and very exclusive, club-like atmosphere. You never know who is watching you; it's all that mystery. Does it feel a bit like the game CLUE"? This restaurant came highly recommended, and it absolutely lived up to the praise. When we arrived, the setting was lovely, and we were warmly welcomed by Michelle. She was gracious, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We especially appreciated the personalized place card waiting for us with our reservation. At first, my wife and her friend were a bit unsure as they reviewed the menu, as they didn't immediately see options that appealed to them. However, that quickly changed. Our friend ordered the asparagus salad and croquettes, while my wife chose the rosemary garlic grilled prawns and roasted heirloom carrots. Both dishes completely exceeded expectations--they were blown away by how flavorful and well-prepared everything was. Over the course of our trip, we visited many wineries and enjoyed several excellent meals throughout the Central Coast. Yet by the end of it, both my wife and her friend agreed that this dinner stood out as the most memorable--truly the highlight among many great experiences. Thank you for starting our trip on such a high note.

On my first visit (evening), we walked in without a reservation and were quickly seated at the last available table. The place had a lively atmosphere, and it looked like part of the space turns into more of a dance floor later in the night. I had the French onion soup, raw oysters, and the pot pie, all of which were good. The pot pie in particular is something I would recommend. This most recent visit was for lunch on a weekday. There were plenty of open tables, and we were seated right away. Parking was easy, which is typical outside of busy weekends. The experience this time around was more mixed. We wanted to order oysters Rockefeller, but they were completely out of oysters, which was disappointing. I ordered a black and tan, which tasted fine, but it came with a design on top that I wasn't expecting. Not a big deal, just different from what I had in mind. For food, my girlfriend ordered the blackened salmon and said it was good. I went with the corned beef and cabbage. The corned beef itself was flavorful and served over mashed potatoes, which were well done. The cabbage, though, wasn't what I expected. Instead of a more traditional preparation, it was grilled with char marks and topped with au jus. The texture came out a bit rubbery and didn't really absorb the flavor well, which made that part of the dish underwhelming. Service was okay but not great. My water ran empty at one point, and I had to ask for a refill. We also ordered boneless wings as an appetizer and asked for extra ranch, which didn't come out until we reminded the server. The biggest issue, though, was something I noticed from our table with a partial view into the kitchen. An employee had their shoe up on a shelf that appeared to be holding clean dishes, which didn't come across as sanitary. I also saw food being adjusted on a plate by someone who didn't appear to be the cook. I can't speak to what's happening behind the scenes in terms of handwashing or procedures, but visually, it raised concerns. That part of the experience honestly left a bad impression. Between that, the missed items, and some inconsistencies with the food, it changed how I feel about coming back. My first visit had me excited to return, but after this one, I'm not sure I would.

Say yes to the menu!!! That's the first thing that came to my mind when I visited Novo in SLO. Once…read moreupon a time, I saw this restaurant be featured on the iconic Check Please, so needless to say the award winning food speaks for itself and I was ready for this experience. I came into Novo with high expectations and my expectations were exceeded. Calamari: Who doesn't want Calamari on the Central Coast, for me it's a must. But can we take a moment to complement the sauces they pair with the calamari. Novo's calamari is paired with a tartar sauce and a sweet chili sauce. Definitely a first experience for me and I was beyond impressed. My taste buds danced because, whoever, is out here making many and flavor pairings for Novo has unlocked a new game mode for me. If you ever are wondering what appetizer to try, this right here is my first recommendation. Blackberry Ginger Cooler: The mocktail was beautiful and also a great pairing. I would love to try their other drinks soon. Matcha Strawberry Trifle: My mom, sisters, and I agreed on this dessert and let me tell you, I'm so glad we did. The matcha trifle had so much goodness to it we spent time trying to guess what flavors were in its profile. Think a berry chantilly from Whole Foods, but with matcha flavor and so fresh! Immediately after finishing my little sister said I had to learn to make this specific dessert and needless to say I don't disagree. It was balanced in sweetness, very light, and a great summer dessert. King Salmon: 2 please! The king salmon comes with Tabbouleh and green beans. This dish was my mom's and she was very pleased. One part of food I enjoy is not just the eating and experience, it's the aspect of reminisce in the flavors, analysis of the cooking, and trying to gauge cooking technique. For this dish, the salmon was perfectly cooked and it is not what we expected in the best way possible. This dish had so many different flavor profiles and wait until you taste the added kick of wasabi. Can I get another round? Korean Short Ribs: When I first saw this on the menu I was struck with asking myself how this dish might taste. It was one of those dishes where I thought, I have had plenty of short rib, I have had kimchi, but I have never seen them on one plate. More than that, I was hesitant as I like kimchi but not my to go to choice, nonetheless, I was drawn to this dish so of course I ordered it. Wow! Was I glad I did. My sister had the same order and we agreed the kimchi had such a nice kick to it. The spare rib was also thinly sliced making this dish easy and yummy. Now don't let that kick of heat scare you, I encourage everyone to try this dish. The rice sort of acts as a contrasting agent to help tone down the flavor and you just have to try it all together. All that said, I think service was awesome, then again SLO is a beautiful heart in California. But seriously we had an awesome waiter who shared with me the history of the restaurant. The story is also on their menu, but Nova's little sister restaurant is Red Luna and the big sister restaurant is Robin's Restaurant in Cambria. So good to know because I can now see how all this deliciousness connects! Big fan of these places and it's great to know they are one family. I don't think I have a favorite sibling of the three, but here's to another 5 stars for the middle child.
