Well, never wrote a yelp review in my life, but felt I needed to today. Have been a member of this…read morelocation for 5+ years and have attend 350+ classes. Being Jewish, I asked a front desk staff if they could put a Menorah up since they were putting a Christmas tree up. The answer immediately was, "I don't think so". I asked her if she would ask Amy-the owner if this was possible. The next day when I came in for my workout, the same front desk person said she asked Amy and the answer was no-without any explanation. I sent Amy three emails over the next several weeks to discuss and she never returned any of them. I hurt my back last month and have not been able to workout. I sent Amy an email asking her if I can talk to get about crediting me for the month I missed. Guess what, she never returned me email ‍. Also, I have tried to call the studio several times over the last few days and no one answers the phone. Very disappointing because I like all the trainers, the workouts, and the people I work out with.

I really enjoy orange theory, however I had a ridiculous experience with this Naperville location…read more I've been a member at multiple locations at different times for close to 3 years. I always came back because I love the gym and their programs. Here's my full story so that hopefully management flags it and I can get some support because they refused to work with me: Todays January 5th. I joined this year and took advantage of a 3 month promo of returning members $50 for 3 months. I used all 3 months and understood there was a 30 day cancellation policy. I went in specifically more than 30 days in advance to fill out my cancellation form because I joined another program that was more affordable. December 3rd I went in and spoke with a woman who was helpful, and shouldn't be named in this issue, to specifically sign a cancellation form with enough time to respect their policy. She told me that I may as well also fill out a freeze form while I was in there, so that it's covered as well as an option if I changed my mind before cancellation on January 4th. I thought that was fine but was in there communicated obviously that I was cancelling. Why would I come in to freeze it, and also be signing a termination contract? That wouldn't make sense. I called last week twice, only got a voicemail both times, and left messages both times to make sure my cancellation form was processed and that I didn't change my mind. Again, when in there I specifically said I was cancelling and filled out that form, while only filling the extra freeze form so it was available if I changed my mind. This Monday I called for a third time and got a man that seemed somewhat personally upset about me leaving the gym. He said he couldn't find either of my forms and that "he'd just have to take my word for it," but insisted he'd send both forms again electronically and to back date it to when I cancelled in December. He said he'd freeze my account while he discussed this with management so he could find out what to do so I wouldn't be charged January 4th. Obviously implied by the paragraphs above I was charged the full $170 yesterday. Today the 5th I got a call back from Veronica telling me that they would not honor the cancellation form OR freeze form because they were waiting to hear my final "decision" as if I'm still up in the air as a potential client after this length of effort to cancel properly, get told to fill a freeze in case, clarify I'm cancelling, call multiple times to do their job knowing this would happen and leave two voice messages, call again Monday to find out all my stuff was lost and he'd figure it out, then get a call after they got their money saying they'll be honoring neither form. The hell is wrong with this gym and why do I feel like I had to cover myself 5 times over, while doing their job and calling to make sure they did what they said they'd be doing anyway, just to be called a day after they took money anyway? This location scammed me. I have absolutely no idea how anybody cancels a gym membership here. Their final staff members I talked to were extremely firm and dismissive with a black and white "no" you're being charged as if their job was on the line and my payment personally was their money. I asked if there was anybody else I could talk to at all and the woman on the phone said no "she talks to the owner often," and asked if I was allowed to dispute the charge on my end. I'll never join Orange theory again after this handcuffing to swindle less than $200 and staff members acting like they'll live and die by one month of my membership. I was asked to fill out two cancellation forms, the hell.

Absolutely love Orangetheory! I have been going to the Gartner location regularly for about 6…read moremonths and I have had nothing but great experiences. Nicole and the front desk staff are always helpful and extremely nice. The coaches have been the same for the past year which I appreciate as they do get to know you and your limitations and will help push you if needed. They also give you modifications for exercises if you have an injury. I went into OTF not being able to do much because of a knee and lower back injury. I had to start off super slow and wasn't able to use much weight when doing strengthening exercises. Lindsay in particular watched me to ensure I was doing exercises correctly and modified me as necessary to ensure I didn't further injure myself. She also always checked in on me every class to see how I was doing. The coaches are definitely there to support you and to help make you the best you can be. Within the last 6 months I have lost weight and fat, built muscle and strength, learned how to push myself, and most importantly OTF has allowed me to gain muscle around my knees and strengthen my core and I'm now able to do exercises that I was never able to do previously. They also have competitions, events, deals, etc which are fun to participate in. I can't thank OTF and the coaches enough for helping me and pushing me to be a better me!

I come 4-5x per week, maybe more, and I hear the same music EVERY SINGLE DAY. It's the same 3-4 Pitbull songs on every playlist, and a rotating mix of the same 50-60 songs that are 2010 club music. There are so many different genres of music and songs, yet for some reason, there is absolutely zero variety. Once in a blue moon you might get something different (shout out Ang) but you'll likely hear the same thing every day. Even the "remixes" are repeated across the playlists that are used. I BEG YOU - Please get some different songs in rotation. It's not even about the genre. ITS THE SAME SONGS EVERY SINGLE DAY.

This isn't a glitz-and-glam gym. There are no flashy lights or influencer vibes. What you get instead is something far more valuable a healthy, structured strengthening program with real guidance to help you become a better version of yourself. It's about movement, longevity, and building strength the right way. What really sets this gym apart is the coaching staff. The coaches are consistent not rotating in and out which makes a huge difference. They know your name, your goals, your strengths, and where you need improvement. That continuity builds trust and real progress. The community is amazing. This isn't just a place to work out. Members volunteer with local pet shelters, connect outside the gym for pickleball gatherings, and host educational sessions on topics like perimenopause giving women knowledge and giving men insight so they can better support the women in their lives. That kind of environment is rare. Every month there are new challenges to push yourself, plus self-achievement awards that recognize individual wins. And I have to say the spicy stickers are a nice touch. Small detail, but it shows they celebrate effort and consistency in a fun way. Beyond Measure isn't just about lifting weights. It's about building strength in your body, confidence in yourself, and connection in your life. If you're looking for community, accountability, and long-term health plus fun this is it.
