I just thought it's an exercise that Jennifer Aniston does and she's obviously in great shape. So as much as I wanted to try Pilates, there was this intimidation factor that I was too out of shape. I've taken fitness classes before and I just had trouble keeping up. I am glad to report Pilates is the opposite. If you are out of shape or recovering from an injury, reformer Pilates is really a great place to start. I finally decided to just go for it and signed up for their new client special 4 classes for $45 mid October 2025. I've been having sciatica pain since my first pregnancy in 2012 and just have had it ever since. It flares up more during the time of the month. I went to physical therapy in the beginning of Oct 2025 and thought you know what I'm just going to sign up and try Pilates. I am so glad I did. I started going once a week with Julee Flores as my instructor. She is so nice and helpful. Actually everyone at Pilates co is. I didn't know about grip socks so I didn't show up with any my first time but it was ok. So just a heads up, bring grip socks. If you don't, they do sell their own cute ones and they are good quality! It will run you about $20 though. If you are brand new, the instructors always check in and ask if you have any injuries or limitations. They then offer modifications if needed. The instructor walks you through step by step and will come over to help you if you need it or if you ask for help. While you do everything as a class. You're on your own individual reformer so you can still go at your own pace. The instructors will encourage you and they won't ever make you feel bad for taking a break or needing to modify. You do what is best for YOUR body so no pressure to do what your neighbor is doing. There are different levels. If you are newer or beginner, you will want to sign up for their reformer 1. Then there's all levels which would be for when you've done reformer 1 for a while and are familiar with the reformer and cues. There is an athletic reformer, barre and reformer 2 class. Lastly, my favorite class stretch and restore. I love going to stretch and restore atleast once a week to foam roll out my muscles. I just feel so relaxed afterwards. It may not be the same for everyone, I've heard that it can be painful for some. There are three different locations you can go to once you sign up because they are all owned by the same owners who you will see teaching classes and taking classes. It's really cool because both the owners are so nice so it makes sense that their studios are just like them. They have great taste too! The studios are clean and calming with neutral colors and plants. It's really become my favorite place to be. After each class I just feel great. I don't feel so sore that I can't do anything. The classes work out your whole body and I love that you get mini stretches throughout. The instructors teach you mind body connection and after each class I just feel physically, mentally and emotionally better. Then there is Danielle Weatherly who is amazing. I walked into her class and she immediately could tell what I needed help with just by looking at me. She recommended that I take one private one on one so that she could make recommendations based on where I was at that I could make in class. That way I when I came to class I could be more effective. I thought yea that sounds great. I wasn't sure what to expect when I came for my private. She started by assessing my range of motion and then went over different exercises I could do at home that would help me. Danielle went over modifications that I could do during class while I worked on building up my strength to do certain exercises that way I wouldn't accidentally injury myself from not know what I was doing. Yes She even emailed me everything we did with the exercises and everything after our session. I was so impressed and just thought wow that was so helpful and she really didn't have to do all that. I have never felt pressured or felt like they were just trying to make money off me. I have always felt like they were genuinely trying to help me get better and become my best self. I am so appreciative of everyone there. For example there will be times when instructors like Ashley who is just an amazing human will be in a little early because she's taking the class after mine. She knows me and knows that I have sciatica pain. She will just come over even though she's not working and help me! Ashley is great to take if you are a beginner or recovering from an injury. She is so helpful and supportive. Her classes are always booked and hard to get into but totally worth it when you get in. Whenever I'm off work, I try to schedule in advance so that I can get into Danielle and Ashley's classes.

After being diagnosed with nerve impingement in my shoulders, my doctor wrote an Rx for PT, suggesting another place in town. After seeing the reviews, I went to Chief. I am super impressed with the personal service and having a one on one with the same therapist (doctor). They really know their stuff and how the body is supposed to work. I had previously been given shoulder exercises elsewhere, but had never been taught the nerve glide that stretches the shoulder nerves to your fingertips. That and other exercises practiced at home proved to be the treatment I needed. The video instructions provided were extremely helpful to teach me to do the PT on my own. I love that this is a small practice that treats patients individually. It really made a difference in my treatment, and a bigger difference in my quality of life. The odd compliment was to stop going to their business because they taught me the skillset I needed to improve my situation. I appreciate how the exercises were explained as to the benefits they would provide. I will add one piece of advice to this review. Before surgery, seek out different doctors in different practices. Sometimes a neurosurgeon might readily intervene when physical therapy is the better treatment option. Based on my symptoms, I had two cervical discs fused and am not convinced the surgery was the best approach. Ironically, an orthopedic surgeon quickly diagnosed my shoulder nerve impingement and suggested PT over surgery. I will never know if my cervical fusion was necessary, but I am glad to have significant pain reduction and mobility thanks to the treatment at Chief Physical Therapy.

I noticed improvement after the first session and have continued to experience progress since then. I took an integrative approach to my treatment, which also included chiropractic adjustments to my neck and jaw, additional laser therapies at my chiropractor's office, and SoftWave therapy. To my surprise, the Remy laser was far superior to the SoftWave therapy for my condition. I believe this is because the laser was able to target certain areas that SoftWave could not. Additionally, the entire staff is friendly and incredibly helpful, from the receptionists to the therapists who administer the laser therapy. Rachel has administered most of my laser treatments, and she is the absolute best! I feel comfortable telling her where my pain points are, and she makes sure to address them. She also follows up on my progress and asks thoughtful questions to help me determine whether certain pain is referred or the primary source. I am very grateful to the entire Chief Physical Therapy team for their care, expertise, and support in helping me make meaningful progress in my health.
