After this last update of equipment it's like they are really focusing on men. Everything got a lot heavier and they took out a lot of the equipment that was geared towards women. They also shrunk half the gym for two people. Will be looking for something else. read more

This gym is amazing they just adding some new stuff in the back for sports like football and it really helped me because it's football season rn so I'm gonna be practicing a lot from here and losing a ton of weight and gaining muscle and speed I really love this gym and even though the hours are 7 on Saturday and Sunday you can still get a very good workout in if u go earlier at like 2:00 or 4:00 pm. Amazing! Revisiting after some time and once again considering a return to the gym vice the home gym; Planet Fitness continues to look good and worthy of my membership! Clean, and not crowded. The purple decor is easy on the eyes, and has a calming effect on you. My health insurance covers gym membership so I am shopping for the perfect place. At present PF is leading the pack! Came in on 6/15/26 afternoon and the old guy with a beard and neck tattoos threw me off. I guess the nice gentleman that is always up front in the afternoons said hello to me and i was wearing my noise canceling headphones so i didnt hear his greeting. The man with the grey beard started burning holes into my skull as I was scanning my pass i look up and smile he says "he's saying hello to you" ..... I know it's weird to be giving 5 stars to a chain gym, but I was visiting my mom for a month and didn't want to fall out of my routine. That said, it's great! They were super honest about how to sign up for a month and cancel with no fees (which was hugely appreciated). They had all the machines I was looking for and I'll definitely be using them again next time I visit mom for an extended vacay. While I may be a gentle visitor to Murrieta, it'd definitely be my regular if I lived there. The people are really nice, the equipment's solid, and the pricing's extremely reasonable. I haven't been back yet because of schedule and after the initial visit I just was the last thing I wanted to do just in case if I had a negative experience again. But I just realize that it's open 24 hours, some thing else I didn't know when I signed up with the location and the girls told me that it closed at 10. So I'm not sure what was going on that day lol However this is all about Mark and I think that last one was Eddy and there's another young lady who I spoke with previously and I just wanted to tell you guys I'm really happy to see the manners and customer service over the phone. I haven't been in there yet again but just a pleasant Ness and the willingness to give information and politely just totally made my day. So thank you for doing that it's making me want to come there again and thank you Mark and thank you Eddie for your positive energy over the phone. I know you guys are probably surprised because you didn't really do or say anything beyond answering a few questions but it's the way that you did it. I replied to PF. I signed up for 24 hour gym. Seems that PF does not control their franchise very well and it is ok with losing customers. I informed them that I have told friends and I am sure a few may pass the word. I would think a simple thing as honoring the original agreement is part of business. Updated review: This place is incredibly crowded now. If you don't mind going between 12am - 4am, then you're gonna stuck there for quite a while waiting for equipment. The cardio machines are about 75% full when the gym is at max crowding. The issue with this gym is that it's outgrown its current facility; it's just too small. The staff are pretty nice and friendly. They're always smiling and greeting you when you walk in the door. They're constantly cleaning the equipment and restrooms. The water still tastes terrible and has the same filtration ppm result as the last time I tested it. Just bring your own. I only use this gym when I need to do cardio. Otherwise I travel a few miles to the Temecula location and use that facility for weight days. This will change soon though as I'm likely cancelling and going to the Powerhouse gym that's closer. read more

I've been to several Planet Fitness locations and this one definitely need some work. Often they have only one employee working the desk, cleaning floors and the shower area so looking for an employee to ask a question takes a while. They also don't have any BOSU balls! That's crazy. Was constantly followed around by a staff member named Letty, when I informed the manager Gabe, he assured me that it wouldn't happen again and apologized. The issue continued for several months until I finally confronted her at the front desk and asked for her name and she said very rudely "you already know my name you're always complaining on me"...I never knew her name up until that night that I looked at her name tag. I called the Temecula location for assistance with this issue, spoke with their manager Luis, he kindly apologized and stated he let the regional manager know about the situation and that I would be hearing from the regional, I have yet to here from anyone. Letty is very rude & unprofessional, plays her own music on Bluetooth or her phone at the front desk really loud, She was using the equipment on the clock while I was there right in front of me and my daughter as if "trying to intimidate". I will continue to move forward with this because it is extremely unacceptable. I have worked in retail/customer service for 20 years and this kind of behavior should be reprimanded immediately. This location needs to bring back Carla, she was always so pleasant, respectful and kind. Letty is extremely unprofessional. read more

Updated review-Love Planet Fitness and have been a member for years. They have always been 24 hours until recently when they took that away from members, limiting hours on the weekend, Mondays and Fridays. My husband and I like to go around 4am for work and are no longer able to. You sign a contract for 24 hours, then they change it and take away the hours. We cancelled and signed up at a new 24 hour gym. Bummed because we loved our Planet Fitness community in the morning. read more

So I don't know why they call themselves a 24/7 gym. Cuz when there's a holiday they close at early the day before the holiday and the day of the holiday and don't open until 8:00 am the following day. They allegedly have pizza on the first Monday of the month and bagels the second Tuesday of the month. This practice is very inconsistent. read more

I usually go weekday mornings either between 6-7am or 7-8am depending on the day. I normally saw Chelsea as the front desk girl and she is an angel! I guess I just expected a person at the front desk that early to be grouchy and complaining about needing more caffeine, but Chelsea is always so full of energy, she's friendly (you can see her smile with her eyes and her friendly tone even with her mask on), she remembers my name before I even scan my card, and best part: she's not super picky about your mask being over your nose when you workout. Unfortunately she changed shifts, and I had to transfer to a sh*tty planet fitness with terrible staff. The only reason I dinged two stars is because on weekends around noon when I visited, there was sometimes some idiots who were picky with masks being over my nose when I work out. Also, my dad works out at noon on weekdays and he got kicked out by a blonde girl that was pretty young, named Annie, she said she was the manager. My dad said she kept singling him out and bugging him during his workout. Knowing him, he runs 6.5-7 mph for 3 miles on the treadmill. He wore a mask but it kept falling below his nose and Annie kicked him out for it because she had to ask multiple times. Guess what Annie, that's high intensity cardio, and PEOPLE NEED TO BREATHE DURING HIGH INTENSITY WORKOUTS, I know shocking! He cancelled his membership and switched to ESPORTA on California Oaks and he's much happier there, the staff actually has common sense and doesn't want their members to suffocate. If that's too far, I would recommend Powerhouse gym by Murrieta Hot Springs too - both are better than Planet Fitness (any of their disgusting franchise locations that runs on bullsh*t policies). read more

Manager is unhelpful, my experience with this particular location is, they are rude and unwilling to work with you. they sign you up and don't send any type of communication when annual fees are due, they made my account overdrawn all the manager can say is you signed up for it. BUYER BEWARE . One of their trainers was extremely rude, I asked for the manager, she put the phone down and had an attitude with me SHE expressed her rude tone over the phone While telling the manager I was on the phone; she picked up the phone , I stated I had heard her rude tone and she stated she was not going to talk to me and tossed the receiver on the counter! , managet stood up for her attitude and rude tone. I would suggest you go to the location at lake Elsinore where they are kind and respectful to their clients the manager would not refund or help with the overdraft fee. Basically I'm the fool who signed up with them and the manager has made that clear! My suggestion be careful!! In my opinion This particular franchise is not customer oriented. read more

LIARS. Cheets. Don't join! I was very excited about starting my membership at PF in Murrieta. I went in for a 1 day free trial, and I really liked the facility. So, I joined online. After signing up, everythinbg went downhill FAST. You are REQUIRED to download their App, and it rarely works for Android phones. Google it, and this can be verified. So, I called, and a very nice lady said it would be NO problem, they would just give me a barcode to use. Problem solved, right? NO!! When I went in this morning, 11/11/22, I asked for the barcode from "Justin", he was RUDE and REFUSED. He said they don't use them anymore. I told him I had called last night, but he refused to acknowledge that. Then, a guest came in and guess what...used the barcode! When I asked Justin about this, he had no answer. I requested he call his manager. Reluctantly, he did, but again rather RUDE and telling me I had an "attitiude". After the manager refused, she finally relented, but I decided NO, I want out of this membership since they were SO rude. I had NEVER even worked out as a "member". They refused and told me that I would need to pay a $58 "buy out" fee. Of course, I said NO to this, and requested that they call Corporate. Again, with relictance, they did and they said they spoke to "Patty" who was "Chief of Operations" for the whole USA. That's what they told me. She said she would cancel the fee, and that she had sent an email to verify. That said, I left. When I got to the car, I checked, and NO email. So, back in I go. Again, another call. Guess what? "Patty" lied. Now, they would need to speak to another person who finally waived the "buyout" of the membership that I never even got to use! All of this took an HOUR, and did NOT need to happen. As a member, you will receive: RUDE employees that do NOTHING, LIES from supervisors, and lots of FEES if you decide to opt out after being treated so rudely. Buyer BEWARE!!! Well, I just moved to the Murrieta area and my wife and I were going to join this gym until I witnessed what appeared to be a man wearing a dress walk out of the woman's locker room. WTF! So I asked the person behind the counter, "Do you allow men who in their worped minds think that they are woman to use the woman's locker room?" This used to be my favorite place to work out.... Clean facility, friendly staff would have been an A+++++. Fast forward to now.... New staff - horrible! Managers stand around... This has to be one of the best Planet Fitness gyms that I have been to ever. I have been to numerous ones in different states and this one is the best one so far. The staff always says hello when you walk in and always tells you to have a good day when you leave. I feel very comfortable in this gym as the people who go there are respectful and nice.
