Today I brought my car to Firestone because of a vibration/shimmy only to find out that all four of my brand new tires are destroyed because Meineke misaligned the car and the toe on all four wheels was out of spec. Don't go here. These idiots just cost me $900 worth of tires and another $150 for a four wheel alignment to fix their mistake. Then the GM called and left a voicemail asking me to call him so we could discuss the situation and when I did call, all he did was make excuses about how anything could have caused the car to fall back out of alignment even though I've only driven it 3,000 miles since leaving their Meineke shop. He refused to do anything to rectify their mistake, and wouldn't even admit that his technicians made a mistake.

Since I always check the dip stick for the proper oil level after someone else does an oil change on all my vehicles, I pulled into a Lowe's parking lot in Rochester a couple miles away to make sure the oil was clean and filled to the proper level. When I pulled the dip stick, the oil appeared filthy as if it was never changed. So I took it back to the service tech and showed him the dipstick and asked him to explain why the oil was still so dirty. After I suggested the tech not make up any lame nonsense, you wouldn't believe the nonsense I heard...; I was told it was ordinary in diesel engines that a fresh oil change looks dirty...Then the story got better...that it has to do with high compression diesel engines and the use of DEF... I quickly jumped into my vehicle and decided to perform my own oil change which quickly revealed I was right...THEY NEVER CHANGED THE OIL !!!! I then elevated my complaint to the president of Rochester Ford who delegated my complaint to the service manager... Again, more nonsense stories about high compression diesel motors, blah blah blah... I tried to tell them that I wasn't ignorant, that I knew basic maintenance and diesel theory, and that I wasn't interested in their condescending lessons on diesel motors ...I asked them to stop making up nonsense and requested they reimburse the Ford Pass points they took to pay for the service. They offered a free oil change at 15k miles which I rejected since I'd be then driving a total of 15k miles on the original oil. Unsatisfied by the previous two service representatives, I phoned again to the president, Todd Berkowitz, who continued the nonsense, denying my claim and refusing to look at the photos I took that clearly document the dirty oil. These guys cannot be trusted and worse, they treat customers as if they are ignorant. After my conversation with the president Berkowitz, I now know for sure this organization is 'rotting from the head'...My advice is to take your vehicle to ANY OTHER service destination.

Good thing I opted to schedule a 7am appointment instead of leaving the car! I arrived the next morning at 715, just as my wife called to inform me that WalMart had called her to cancel the appointment, as they did not have any technicians in the shop today. They said I could leave the car, as a technician may be coming in at 11am. I did not leave my car. I called at 11, was told the technician did not come in, but someone could come in later that day. I made an appoint for 2pm at Town Fair Tire instead. Hey Walmart - if you don't have any techs, don't jerk your customers around by making appointments you aren't going to keep. Maybe pay your techs a reasonable wage and you might get some that want to work for you. Just my $0.02.

All sites including Toyota, Cooper Tires, Tire rack, etc. and theirs when I purchased confirmed they were a fit. After driving 30 miles for my appointment it took them over an hour to say they couldn't mount them due to the factory tire size on the door jamb was different. First the manager overrode the mechanics and said we were good. But 45 minutes later when I check up the manager sided with the mechanics because some vague reference book they had said the size I had showed on aluminum wheels. I guess Sears missed that 8 years and 60,000 miles ago with the same size tires as purchased, even though they saw them on the vehicle. The folks that helped me were very nice and accommodating considering this store has them running around like the proverbial chicken. Fortunately one counter person suggested going to The Tire Guys down the street. They were great. Had my tires on and drove away 45 minutes later. While I waited at Walmart I observed a family of senior citizens wait almost an hour for them to check out a screw in one of their tires. After 15 minutes of them seeing their car on the rack they were told no screw. They had written down the wrong tire location at the counter, and it took about 45 more minutes to just remove it. I will not ever even think about anything besides buying tires there.

Suddenly the mechanic is unable to change the oil because is does not know how to unscrew the cover of the oil filter. The same vehicle was serviced at this location since 2008 till 2017 and there was no problem with unscrewing the old filter. Today after waitng 20 minutes in line I was informed that the service cannot be performed because the cannot unscrew the oil fiter. I took my car back to my home garage and unscrewed the filter in 2 minutes. Are they week because of covid pandemic or just plain lazy. Shame on you Jiffy lube. Kris

I went to Rochester Volkswagen because, the day after my NH state inspection at a different shop, my check engine light came on (I know...right?) I brought it in for diagnostic and it was determined that cylinder 3 was misfiring due to a leak. They were very transparent about what needed to be ordered and what was potentially necessary. The part was ordered and after an additional appointment for installation, my car was back to working properly. It turned out that it didn't need anything additional. Was this all expensive? Of course. But the point I'm making is they didn't do anything else that wasn't necessary. They didn't lie about the car needing additional work from leak damage. I've learned my lesson. Even if the other shop is innocent, and they likely are, I will not be going back there. It is hard to trust. I will not name drop because I cannot say anything with certainty.
