I originally rated them one star with the review below. However I took them up on their offer to make things right and ordered another pizza along with a Caesar salad and a rigatoni bolognese. The pizza was good. 6.5 out of 10. The rigatoni was tasty but the pasta was overcooked. Maybe that's a function of getting pasta delivered where it keeps cooking on the way... I like how they did the Caesar. Shaved parmigiana with the (very good) dressing on the side. All in all, the pizza roll and the Caesar salad were the best things we had. The pizza was good, not great (crust was a little soft. Cheese was ok. Super light on the sauce). I wouldn't get the pasta to go - maybe try again for eat-in. The cheesecake piece was insultingly small. Original 1 star rating: AVOID!!!!!!!!! I ordered online and had the thin crust marinara and basil pizza and I added extra toppings on half. I also ordered a pizza roll with chicken and a piece of cheesecake. THE PIZZA HAD NO CHEESE!!! (Picture attached). And when I called to ask about it, they said that's by design. You would think if they were selling a pizza with no cheese (for a higher price than the regular pizza), it would say "NO CHEESE". Also, they put toppings on the whole pizza. So dinner with my kids (who only eat cheese pizza) was ruined. I do want to point out that the pizza roll was very good. However, the cheesecake piece was tiny (picture attached). After checking the menu to confirm that it doesn't say "no cheese", I called back and they said "thanks for the feedback". I gave them two chances to make it right. After a long day of travel and looking forward to a good slice of NY Pizza, this was a huge letdown. UPDATE: They called me this morning to apologize. They thought they had taken that menu item down exactly because of this kind of confusion over the cheese but a recent systems update seems to have inadvertently added it back to their online menu without the proper explanation. They have offered me a free pizza to make this right. The explanation and the offer seem reasonable and genuine. I will give them another shot. read more

This place definitely has my heart! The owner is behind the counter almost every time I visit, and they're always so sweet and kind. I love that they offer a military and first responder discount too -- such a thoughtful touch. You can dine in or take out, and they always have fresh specials that are absolutely delicious. My youngest adores their soups, and since she's dairy-free, they always accommodate her so well! It's a true mom-and-pop shop with such a warm atmosphere. If you're looking for a cute date night idea, go on Tuesdays -- they have a $65 special for two, which includes an appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert. We were in town visiting my parents and my childhood home, as well as introducing my kids and my partner to the area for the first time. Bella Rosa was near the hotel and accommodated us splendidly. My son opted for white pizza, which I split with him - the only pizza he eats. He was suspicious of the new place but ended up really enjoying his food. Would that he could take that result and apply it to the next new place, haha. My daughter was cranky but we settled on a simple pasta with sauce for her and she absolutely loved it, raving about it for days after. My partner ordered a pizza burger and enjoyed it immensely. This is a great place to eat. Lunch or dinner both are delicious. The pizza is made just right with melted gooey cheese and a perfectly cooked crust. The service is wonderful. The staff is friendly and attentive. The ambiance is great with old pictures and the best part is the TV playing Boss Ross 24/7. I loved watching it with my teenage boys. Vinny was such an awesome host. Making sure everyone is enjoying themselves and has everything they need. We live in CA and we were in NY for a week, and we ate here three times lol. I've been here before and found the prices good and the staff nice ; unfortunately my opinion has changed this is my tortellini soup which they forgot the spoon and I had to request; I had beef Patty with cheese and ginger ale 18.17 outrageous I could have gone to 7 brothers or even candlelight where the prices are more reasonable and the soups are amazing because clearly this soup has nothing in it but broth. Sauce and cheese ratio quite good, proper oil with quality cheese. With a base plain slice this good, I respectfully request the pepperoni Cups on slices or on square grandma pizza as an option. Delicious Pizza, great crust, sauce has great flavor and size of pies are consistent and filling. Got 3 pies for take out, they sliced the kids plain slice well for children. They also have a large seating area. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Great selection pizza and other items in display by the entry counter. Sometimes it's hard to describe what makes pizza from NY/NJ so much better than everywhere else and so hard to replicate. There are some amazing pizza shops in ATL, but the pie just hits different in the Tri-State. There is a toothiness to the crust, a hard crunch on the surface and a soft chewiness inside. There is beauty in the simplicity of the ingredients. Fresh tomato sauce, just enough of the right spice blend, and then the perfect cheese. That's all it takes. Yet somehow shop after shop fail to hit the mark. Bella Rosa hits it. Look at how the folded slice holds up all the way to the end, without wilting... a sure sign of a well cooked pie. Fantastic true NY pizza. Excellent chicken parm wedge. Great french fries. Fast, friendly service. We were attending a funeral a few blocks away, down from Massachusetts for a couple of days, and were craving some good NY pizza (we grew up in NY). I have nothing but good things to say about my visit to Bella Rosa. From the food to the staff everything was top notch. Vinny and crew were able to accommodate our group of 18 and made us feel like we were having dinner at home. We had 6 half trays of food along with salad, pizza, wine, and dessert. I wouldn't have known this pizzeria was here without Yelp. It is right in the middle of a residential neighborhood so probably a big locals spot. The place is clean and has some nice looking pizza in the case. I sat down in the dining area and tried a few things. The sandwiches were good but I think they had too much bread. The bella rosa sandwich was the most interesting one served in between garlic bread. The buffalo chicken one was good but again more bread than sandwich. What I really liked were the fried ravioli's. Perfectly fried and a nice treat. I also tried the regular slice and it was good not great. I have this place at 3.5 stars. read more

I'm so excited to have found this pizzeria, located in a quiet neighborhood just a few blocks away! I tried their veggie pizza, and it was so awesome! There are plenty of fresh chopped veggies (you know it's fresh because they're not uniformly shaped) including mushrooms, olives, broccoli, tomatoes, onions, peppers, and garlic. I pre-ordered and started to head over, and as I walked into the store I saw a large delicious veggie pizza coming straight out of the oven into the box. It was perfectly fresh as I picked it up. Live in the area so I decided to give it a try. First impression is that the place looks nice and modern. Everything looks clean. The pizzas in the display look nice and fresh. I ordered a plain slice, a bbq slice, a chicken Marsala slice, and some garlic knots. The bbq slice and the garlic knots were the winner. The Marsala slice was decent and the plain slice was dry and flimsy. The service was good and friendly and quick. I hope they continue to improve.
