After my divorce my ex husband left me with the kids and he took our monkey with him. In November 2024 our little family decided to add another monkey to our small family. This time we were interested in an owl monkey since they are a little bigger and they have such a happy face, they are always smiling. I contacted Poggi's again (of course you had once a wonderful experience with a breeder, you don't go anywhere else). Michael has now a wonderful wife, her name is Janet and two lovely little boys. When we first came visit them to see the available owl monkey, the whole family welcomed us so warmly in to their home. My smallest son which is only 2.5 years old was allowed to play in the living room with their boys while we got introduced to Avocado, now Coco. Janet really took her time to explain and go all our questions which we have or could have in the future. She helped us to apply for a state license and she was so nice and patient. We felt like we were a part of her family. When we finally received our license from the state and were able to pick up our little Coco, I was impressed how generous their starter package was. It included a cage, an UV light, a large verity of healthy and premium food, blankets, towels, toys, leash and belt, really everything we would need to bring our baby home the first time. Coco is a blessing to our family. He is so sweet and loving. We couldn't be happier!

We purchased a 2-month-old bearded dragon from Cold Blooded Kingdom who never ate after leaving the store. Within about 24 hours, he developed a severe head tilt, began circling and rolling to one side, and lost his coordination. We immediately took him to an emergency veterinarian. He was only 5 grams and had severe neurological symptoms. The vet gave him a guarded-to-poor prognosis and listed adenoviral infection, possibly with concurrent coccidiosis, as the primary suspected diagnosis. We ultimately had to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize him. When we contacted Sal afterward, rather than showing compassion or concern, he was incredibly rude and blamed us for the dragon's condition - even though we had owned him for approximately one day. Importantly, the veterinarian's report did not conclude that our care caused his condition and actually listed nutritional/metabolic disease and trauma among the less likely causes. We have the veterinary report, photos, and videos documenting the entire timeline. Losing a baby animal less than a day after bringing him home was heartbreaking. The way Sal handled the situation afterward made an already terrible experience significantly worse. I cannot recommend this business.

My avian vet, who is an hr away, suggested that I go to the Birdhouse to see if Charlie could help me give my bird his injections. Charlie helped me and refused to charge me. Charlie's knowledge and love of birds was very impressive. Yes, there is parrot dust in his store. He does have a large selection of birds, and it is hard to control parrot dust with such a large selection of birds in a small store. It just takes a few large birds flapping their wings, and you have dust. If you are looking to purchase a parrot The Birdhouse is a good place to go.

I placed the order last week, and he sent it only on Wednesday. 2. He sent the animal by UPS and told me that I have to pick him up from the UPS store in Napa while I live in Fairfield, 30 min from my city. I asked him why he couldn't send it to my house, he said that it would be no responsibil for any health issues then. OK, I asked him to send it to the UPS store in Napa, and I'll pick it up there. 3. He sent it on Wednesday, pick up on Thursday morning. I texted him a night before and asked him, "Am I need to open the box and check the animal at ups or in my house later?"Since I never had experience with UPS pick up, usually I received my orders directly to my home. He never responded to me anymore. On Thursday morning, I drove to the Napa UPS store to pick up the package. I opened the box in my car, checked that he was alive and had no damage, and drove home. I came home, checked the animal, and he was making gurgling noises and had fluid discharge from his mouth. Which looks for me like respiratory infection or pneumonia. I texted the seller and sent him photos of fluid from the mouth. The seller never responded. I googled the seller buseness name listed on morphmarket profile, and I found the physical store in Florida. I called them. They connected me with the owner. I explained him the situation to him, and he said it could be from shipping, and if he won't feel better until Monday, I could ship him back. Then he replied to my messages in morphmarket.com, and he asked me to send him my enclosure pics, I didn't get the point for what, to blame me may be in all issues. But I did send it. And he never replied back. I called my reptile vet clinic, and they recommended bringing the animal. I made an appointment for tomorrow. Hours later, I checked the animal, and he had much more fluid coming from his mouth and more gurgling noise. The fluid has smell. Looks like a heavy infection for me. We had experience with respiratory infection with one of my snakes in the past. And I'm not sure that the animal can make it until Monday, like the seller recommended me. We have an appointment tomorrow, I noticed the seller about it and that I'll send him the bill after it. Never got respons. The animal can't develop respiratory infection just for overnight shipping, and it had a heating pack inside. That's mean that the seller was aware that the animal is sick already and that why hi didn't send him on Monday, only on Wednesday; that's why he sent him to UPS store in Napa which is far from me, he probably was thinking that I won't agree on ot and I'll take a risk to send him to my house address without health issue warranties. The seller posted the animal like a captive breed. it's the reason why i purchased it. But after contacting the reptile community group, the members disclosed the information who did breed those animals in the USA and when and this one is not captive breed. I asked the seller to provide photos of the parents and hatchling, and he said he didn't breed them. He received the animal from someone. It's false advertising. He couldn't prove that its captive breed.

Sketchy place and the worst people, so cold and heartless…read more We came in looking for our lost cat. On the first attempt, they were closed because of a meeting, so we couldn't talk to anyone. The security guard told us to come back another day through the closed gate and mentioned there's a lost pet binder. On our second visit, we parked in front and lost and found, and there was a sign saying to stay in your car. After we arrived, there was a couple who found a tiny orange kitten and tried to surrender it, so they got out of the car. The security guard yelled at them to get back in the car. They asked why, and he snapped, "Can't you read the sign" while pointing to it. They asked why again, and he didn't answer, but just ignored them. We waited for the lady to come to our car window. She asked if our cat was ours or a community cat, when we lost him, and what he looked like. We said he was a tabby, and she rolled her eyes, saying the majority are tabbies and we're probably not going to find him. We asked to come in and look, and she said no. We asked how long they keep the animals. She said usually 24 hours, even though they're supposed to keep them for 72 hours, they usually don't. We asked why. She said too many. I asked what happens to them. She said they take the address where they're found when they come in, and they release them to the same address. To me, that seems unbelievable if someone is bringing in a stray cat or lost pet, that they would just put them back out on the street. What's the point? I asked if they euthanize animals. That's when she said yes, in those 24-72 hours, if the animal is sick or can't be saved, they will put them down. I asked how it's determined, and she didn't say. We asked again to try to find our cat, and she said there's no point. I asked about the binder with pictures that the security guard told us about the first time around. She didn't want to let us see. She said the pictures are tiny and hard to see, and that it's a huge binder. We said we drove all this way that we wanted to see. She said they distribute the pets to various animal control facilities, so he could be anywhere. We insisted, so she brought the binder to the car. We did not find JJ. The security guard just grabbed the binder back from us and didn't say a word. The main lady was rude to the couple with the orange kitten. We left before we saw the outcome, but it looked like she refused to take it and gave them a pamphlet. They're better off taking it to the humane society. There was a 3rd employee in a grey shirt, along with the lady in the blue shirt and the security guard. They all made faces, rolled eyes, used huge gestures, and had terrible attitudes. I'm not sure what their problems are, but they shouldn't be working in customer service, let alone a tough job like this one that requires sensitivity. The whole thing was really shady.
