He used a small ultrasound machine in his exam room multiple times. However, my last last appointment, he used the ultrasound machine on both of my feet. Unbeknownst to me, I was charged for each foot. So my straightforward office visit cost me $101 for the office visit, $109 for the ultrasound on my right foot, plus $109 on my left foot, for a total out of pocket cost of $318. As a consumer, I disagree with being charged twice for a single use of the ultrasound machine.
