Just found my oasis in Boca Florida. In town for a show and found this great place. Great cigar selection, good staff and great atmosphere. Got my Churchill cigar and a scotch. I can see why people like this place. It was a tad small but we still easily found seating. 2 well drinks were $15 which is pretty average I'd say. I appreciate not having to spend tourist prices. As a cigar aficionado, I decided to give strikes a try. The selection of cigars was quite good. Price point is a bit steep, however I'm sure the rent is crazy expensive. What can I say I've been here twice in my trip to Boca and this place is great! Aesthetically a beautiful lounge with a staff who instantaneously makes you feel welcome and at home. Selection is very good with a full selection of Padrons and Plasencia's among MANY other cigars (I'm a Padron and Plasencia smoker). Top cigar place I have been too hands down. Walking in the door you get treated and shown to the cigar room and tell the man what you like. He then proceeds to show you a abundance of cigars of variety that matches your liking. He knows alot about cigars and they have all quality and flavorful cigars.. the service here is great. I have been here twice walking out with two amazing cigars. Once you pick out your cigars you can smoke it right there in the lounge which is inside or outside your pick then pair it with a drink since they have have a full bar with the good stuff. I spent several days in Boca last week. As this was my first time, I don't know what to expect. I found the town warm and inviting. As a cigar smoker, I always like to try different lounges in cities I'm visiting. In all my years of smoking, I found Strikes the best lounge I have ever visited, the people were just lovely and friendly. I found the staff Chris, Shai, Dawn and the owner Ronnie to be very knowledgeable about their product, especially since I'm a Maduro smoker. I personally like the event specials upcoming Halloween party Christmas party New Year's party are going to be phenomenal and my all-time favorite the Super Bowl party . Since my last review, this cigar lounge has changed ownership and Management, it is now known as Strikes Cigar Lounge and yes a tiger can change its stripes with good people. After making a pledge never to step back in Diplomat the lounge/ bar has been sold to a new owner, who has a successful history of customer service at his bowling ally and a great management crew, most taken from Prime. I walked in the other day and the place had another vibe, the talented staff were all welcoming and smiling, the humidor was refreshed and the bar was full, the atmosphere was different with some of the old crew from Prime. Due to the new ownership and management, especially Chris, I suggest you all go and check this place out and try the experience for yourself. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. read more

We visit Boca on a regular basis and found a nice cigar shop on our last visit. Based on a yelp search, we decided to check this place out. The bartenders are knowledgeable, they have a great selection, and the place has awesome indoor/outdoor seating, as well as tons of televisions. The cigar selection is awesome, and the guy helping us was friendly, knew his cigars, not pushy, and just a pleasure to talk to. It was one of his first days, but you would have thought he worked at the shop for years. Highly recommend, and wish we had a place like this back home. Stay away ...assholes run the place..went in with 15 guys and they broke our chops because three guys didnt but cigars Wtf we went in to watch 2nd half of college game....rude and demanding to spend money...how outrageous..many guys bougjt sticks..treated us like we were robbing them.. worst experience for premier cigar smokers who have ventured to many cigar bars..i and many would never walk back into the Dip for a glass of water...terrible...that is why they are struggling in business...worst cigar place in south florida ..stay away. Me and a couple of friends went their Sunday to enjoy a couple of cigars and watch football, but were turned away because our ID's look fake even thought they were legit? And which was even weirder the guy took my Credit card and wasn't even staring at my name was looking at my information instead. The guy who offers you cigars is nothing more then an idiot who can't tell the difference between real ID's and fake! Even when we called the manager over he said they were fake as well and talked about how "we have an expensive liquor license and don't wanna loose it." Instead of offering actual help. Wouldn't recommend going their instead would recommend Casa de Montecristo because they have an actual and friendly cigar expert who knows the difference between fake and real ID's. read more

We came here with my friends to have a nice relaxing Sunday evening with hookah and a few drinks. The place looks amazing, they have full bar and great cigar selection. But! We were refused to be served. You might be wondering why 4 young dressed-up girls couldn't get a drink at the Diplomat lounge. Here comes why. One of our girlfriends went on a date with the manager, Steve. Apparently, she didn't like him. Well, you'd think so what? Big deal. But he ignored us for 20 minutes and then completely refused to serve us. There was no staff other than him so we were forced to leave and take our business some place else. Had a great experience here. They have a great selection of quality cigars to choose from. I chose one of the 45th anniversary Padron cigars. I also tried a very good porter beer that Kassandra (bar maid) recommended and it paired beautifully with the cigar. The atmosphere and ambience is very low-key and chill.
