We ended up at O'Brian's randomly. I was driving my friend from a Super Boen Party back to the train station so they could take the tri-rail back to Palm Beach. Since they had some time to kill and sobriety was not an option, we decided to stop and the closest watering hole next to I-95z what came up in their GPS, or the choice they made, was O'Brian's. Out time there was a wonderful experience. Must certainly a younger crowd, which is understandable know the proximity to the university but still a magnificent time. Service was quick, and the drinks were on point. We were already a bit plastered coming from a Super Bowl celebration, but despite how busy they were they were still able to provide us with drinks within minutes. I asked for a spiced rum and coke, which even though not my drink of should, it was what I was stuck with the whole night because of the avatar the super bowl party. I can't wait to go back when I in Boca again. Based on my one time observation, O'Brian's is a blast! read more

I love Irish pubs and this one has a very characteristic atmosphere to match. I went on a Friday night around 7:30 pm and by about an hour later the place started to fill up quickly, but the most interesting thing about it was that the average age of the people there was in their 20s - I've never seen so many young people in an Irish bar. I chose to sit at the bar and the bartender was very attentive, I had 2 beers and "potato skins - $11.00 tasty but lacking seasoning" and "zucchini fries $9.00 crispy and very tasty". This is such a cool bar. My friend is in town and we were walking around after eating dinner. O'Brian's plays great music and is pretty mellow. The patrons are relaxed and there to enjoy the time, not be rowdy. They are mostly in their 20's but we still felt welcome. I just had a Bud Light because I was full but I was craving a beer. My friend got the same. There was hockey and I think football on the tvs. This is a cozy place to come and enjoy a great night out. I am glad I discovered this place because I never knew it existed. I want to.come back here when in the area. read more

I've always had a great service here! I've started coming here within the last year. Eric's hospitality is exceptional!!! He goes above and beyond and his service really stands out. We grabbed a table and he continued to keep up with our table with 4 tabs with zero issue at all. Professional and quick, and helpful. During the day and early evenings, O'Brian's is a great vibe, casual and chill. Slightly divey, which I like. Great place to watch the games. Later in the night, college kids tend to fill up the dance floor a bit and create a more party scene. One of the nights there was even a cover, which in this case.. did steer us away this once, BUT mostly because we weren't ready to walk into it being that busy. Great karaoke night. This place has the BEST chicken caesar wrap I've ever had, and that is one of my go-to meals at a restaurant. I got a side of buffalo sauce to dip every few bites, 10/10. The fries are crispy & perfection. They had a great drink selection and tv's for watching sports. The interior was super decorated for Halloween & so cute. Parking was easy & there was plenty of other businesses near here. I will 100% be returning if I'm in the area again. read more

I have been coming to this specific bar before it was called O'Brian's; therefore, going back a few years when I was young, carefree, and innocent. Over the past decade, and especially, when I worked in Boca, O'Brian's is an enjoyable, non-pretentious, come-as-you-are bar where you can order beers and mixed drinks, burgers and wings, and not feel like you're paying a fortune and a half to enjoy yourself. My last excursion involved a few friends and I strolling into O'Brian's where I enjoyed some Jameson Caskmates, eat wings, and contemplate existence. The service was reasonable, considering it only comprised the bartenders who were also serving the bar. We didn't wait long for drinks or food. Consisting of the table and bar seating, with dart boards in the back and space for bands to perform, O'Brian's is always a good time, where you can hop, skip, and jump between this bar and the ones next door on any given day. read more

Two stars because I like the atmosphere, people and food and most of all the servers, but would be one star if I was evaluating my karaoke experiences. The first time I went in at 8 pm and asked if they were indeed doing karaoke that night and they said they were, starting at 11pm. So I returned to hear two songs and then the owner cut it off... maybe he was in a bad mood or just doesn't like karaoke? Any way I asked the KJ what was up and he told me the owner stopped it. When I talked to the owner about it, "I came by earlier to be sure you were having karaoke and I'm sure I'm not the only one here because your website says karaoke tonight." He had me escorted out! Fast forward... this week I met, Aaron. He owns the karaoke business that now does karaoke at O'Brian's... guess what?! Owner cuts off karaoke and Aaron has to come apologize to those of us he knows are there for karaoke. Look, I know karaoke isn't everyone's favorite thing... but if I come to a place that says it has karaoke then I am expecting it to indeed have karaoke when it says... and I promise, I'm NOT the only one in the crowd either! As promised, I came back! St. Patrick's day is a big celebration for them. Tents placed outside with beer trucks, or I should say full bar trucks. Liquor for $6, beer for $4. Some green items for sale, in case you forgot to "dress up" for the occasion. Live band, big crowd, good fun. After an hour or so, we move inside. A bit of a wait in line but not bad. Got a spot at the bar, ordered our green beer pitcher (for only $10), and started making stories with their 'Mad Libs' type napkins. Not only fun but a great conversation starter. We had some help creating them, and even made some new friends. All of the sudden we realized we had green teeth and lips, instead of hiding them, we just laugh more, meeting others with the same green beer effect. We all decided to take action and after finishing our beer we switched to Car Bombs, to wash the green out, and celebrate the 'holiday' a bit more. O'Brian's was definitely the perfect choice for us to celebrate in green. read more

I've been coming to this pub for years now, the bartenders are personable and make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in the door. They are located right next to the Hyatt Hotel so you are constantly meeting new faces as well ! I find myself stopping here all the time to grab drinks with friends or even just grabbing some food (they offer Daily Lunch Specials, as well as a full menu available until 2am). Let me tell you about this joint. I found this place on yelp and the reviews seemed legit so I came by on a Friday night with a date at around 7:30 since I was really into singing karaoke. There are very few options for Karaoke in Boca so you gotta take what you can get. At 7:30 it was dead and the place reeked of cigs since everyone at the bar was smoking. This was a huge disappointment since I hate the smell of cigs - but the waitress said that Karaoke started at around 10 so we decided to have drinks elsewhere and come back to see how it was at a later time. IT'S DAY AND NIGHT, LITERALLY! The crowd earlier was no Bueno for me and the crowd at night is all hot college kids and no one is smoking cigs because everyone is JUULing (so that's a plus). The place didn't smell like a smokeshop but more like cheap cologne and I am with it. Surprisingly for as packed as it was the staff was super attentive and on point. I got serviced right away every time I needed anything AND they put me as the first person to sing Karaoke. That never happens! Two thumbs up for hiring attractive, fun, and extremely nice bartenders. (For the people complaining about not getting attention from the bartenders, you're obviously not trying hard enough to get their attention and probably look terrifying with those annoyed looks - I would not help you either) Karaoke didn't end up starting till about 10:30, so be prepared to hang out for a while if you want to sing but don't worry the music in the meantime is poppin' - all the top hits. The place was hella packed and the vibe was proper good times. Also, just so you know you will be surrounded by college kids pretty much wearing the same thing and drinking White Claw (like it's going out of style) so if you're over 35, don't bother, you're out of place. Why did I bother on agreeing to walk from Mizner Park to this dud of a place? It was full of young people that looked like they entered with fake id's! It is loaded with cigarette smoke.... *gags* I didn't want to stay any longer, but my friend wanted to meet up with a friend there for a moment. I was a bit hungry for a nibble, so I ordered some perogies. They were decent and creamy in the center. I was so happy to finally leave this bar cause the smoky interiors began to give me a headache. I hate inhaling second hand smoke. I had to wash my hair when I came home because it smelled like cigarettes! Even though the bartenders and bouncers were really nice and quick with everything.... still, I am definitely not coming back. read more

It was packed, which is no surprise since all Irish pubs are on that fabulous holiday. The outside was filled with beer and liquor as well as drunkards and a live band. Luckily, the ladies got a spot at the bar near the entrance when I got there. The craziness continued inside as well. The bartenders went nuts trying to get everyone their drink orders with a jam packed bar. It's understandable when there is a celebration going on. The thing I didn't like about the place is that you can smoke in there. Gotta smoke? Take it outside and avoid the inside smelling like ashtray. Of course, it's not my bar, so I don't make the rules.
