My friend and I went on the Wednesday "all you can eat pasta night" that comes with soup or salad and bread, plus your choice of pasta and sauce combo (added proteins are an extra cost). Upon arrival the restaurant smelled amazing and the staff was friendly. It was not busy, surprisingly since it was 6pm. They needed to update their specials sign because it was actually March 4th when we went and it said February. I have dietary restrictions and the staff was EXTREMELY ACCOMMODATING and reassuring that my food would be prepared accordingly. I was surprised that they never mentioned the all you can eat pasta special, as it is so heavily advertised on their socials and our table did not have the special menu on it to see the options. We ended up having to ask our waitress about it and she grabbed the special menu from another table for us. The staff was able to make my bread without any butter or oil that usually comes on the normal bread and their bread was so soft, pillowy and delicious! I could have eaten the whole basket! We opted for the all you could eat special and I ordered the minestrone soup and my waitress (Tiffany) did a great job of being able to just serve me a bowl without pasta shells in it. The soup was okay. It lacked in flavor a bit and was lukewarm at best. But I ate it all. My friend got the salad and she said it was okay. They didn't offer any refills on my soup, but I'm not sure if the "all you can eat" was just for the pasta or if the soup/salad was included. The kitchen and waitress did an EXCELLENT job in preparing my entree per my restrictions. I got the zoodles ($2.98 up charge and very skimpy on the portions) with just steamed mushrooms, zucchini slices and broccoli. I asked for the marinara on the side so I could control the amount of pasta sauce. That was perfect. My food came out exactly as I wanted it, but it was also lukewarm at best. I ate all of my dinner and was never asked if I wanted another bowl. We had told our waitress at the beginning that that was the special we wanted, so I'm not sure why they didn't offer a refill on my dish? Granted, I could have asked, but my friend got the fettuccine alfredo and only ate half. She said it was good, but would order it with a protein next time just so it felt like more of a complete dish. I would have gotten another serving of my dinner, but didn't want to eat alone. Overall the food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant itself was clean, beautifully decorated and very bright. It was dark outside but felt like the middle of the day inside with how bright it was. I would go back and hope for my food to be warmer, but that's my only complaint. There's been a change in the chefs. The food is terrible. I ordered Chicken Piccata, the chicken was over cooked and was coated with uncooked flour. Chicken Piccata is not to be breaded, it is a sautéed dish with a butter lemon and caper sauce. When I told the manager I did not like it, she said "Oh" "I"ll tell the kitchen" , no offer of discounting the meal, very disappointed in this less than satisfactory response. I was so looking forward to a delicious meal at Strings. My wife and I have always enjoyed the salads at Strings. We went on a rather slow Saturday evening. We were seated immediately and our drinks orders were taken. We decided on the soup and salad. The salad was brought out extremely quickly. We gave the salad and good mixing and dug in. However we were both extremely disappointed in the salad. There was little to no flavor in the dressing. A few minutes later the waiter brought us our Minestrone soup, which was also flavorless! The best part of the meal was the bread which was warm and fresh. The food has always been good, and over the years, I have noticed that the wait staff, which was always a pleasure to work with, have gotten even better. My wife and I went for dinner after a long day. We get there and are seated. We order drinks and the new crab dip, Its ok. The waitress takes our order everything is ok at this point. The dip comes and looks great. Then 10 minutes later our food comes, Now wait we ordered salad, Oh I'm so sorry she said, Then she said I will make you one to take home. Ok. We start to eat and my lasagna is cold so I'm waiting to get the waitress no luck cant find her so my wife goes to the counter. She comes 2 min later and says ok I'll get it fixed. Ok, Now my wife has to eat or hers or it will be cold so she does. I eat my side and some bread, finally it comes they made a whole new one yay. Now I'm full of bread still no salad. I ask that she makes it to go. 15 min go by no check not waitress, We have to ask for the check. We get the check pay it. Still no salad. We get up and go at this point. I think the issue I have is I never complained I was understanding we all make mistakes, But then still charged me for my cold meal and never receive our salad. If I could give this place negative stars I would. My husband and I went for the first time for a dinner party. The food was absolutely awful. Sea food was fishy. Chicken was dry and under seasoned. They are understaffed when it came to this event. My husband ordered sea food pasta the scallops seemed like they were boiled; not a single sear mark on them. Just right for date night. This location recommended, and I feel they delivered a nice experience. All the staff are very helpful, and I may have had each one touch the table over the night. Dinners come with choice of salads or soup. Paired with house-made focaccia bread. The single salad was more than enough to share, and they are all hand tossed to perfection. It is not their fault I am a Caesar salad snob, if they added a touch of anchovies to their dressing it would be fire! I had the Lasagna Pastry, it paired with the two sauces. The insides were layered and put together very well. It did not last long, but was a perfect amount of food. The second plate was the balsamic salmon. My husband and I went yesterday and the food there was bland and not authentic. We got the margherita pizza and minestrone soup. The soup was fine but the pizza was not authentic, it was just topped with cheese and more cheese. We also had a taste of the marinara sauce and that did not taste good! I will say that the bread there was fantastic and the host needs more love. We were going to order a dessert but decided against it because we didn't know if the cost was worth it. We hosted a party for our parents on the patio at Strings and had a fantastic experience. Keelie was super easy to work with and so thoughtful, and made party planning much simpler than expected. The staff was gracious and flexible, and we were able to be creative in how we set up the event. The selection of appetizers (bruschetta, pizza, stuffed mushrooms, scampi, and meatballs) and lemon berry cake were a big hit with our partygoers young and old. We got many compliments! And the patio is a great setting for a private event, with fans and heaters at the ready for any weather.
