The karate in the garage and where the mosaic things are were great. The beer has an incredible flavor and the service was great too! It's really cute inside. They had beach chairs, picnics tables, and high tops. They had pinball games, ping pong, and a Shuffleboard to keep the kids busy. Family friendly

Best beer in town. Community staple. Come bring your kids, pets, and outside food and sit on a picnic table and listen to live music. Glad places like this exist - we need more of them.

We love Southern Swells! Good beer, great atmosphere, great service. We have the yearly membership, the dojo club and come often. We've been bringing our baby since he was about 2 weeks old and he's 8.5 months now. He loves it almost as much as we do. There is always a good crowd, often live music or great emo jams playing, vendors, and so much fun! We love to spot a good dog while we're there. The baby gets super excited. Session IPAs are tasty and help me drive home safe. My husband always buys at least a 4 pack on our way out to have at home. Such a great brewery!!

Inside, great music and kid friendly (small play section in the back)

Always a great place and vibe. Dog friendly, kid friendly. Offers a small play section with toys as well as ping pong. Also, shuffle board for the 21+ crowd. You can bring food in too (grabbed Whit's for the kids), but they did have a taco vendor on-site as well. Tonight I tried the pineapple sour- super good and light, had two. Great vibe, friendly staff, fun music/live.

So I would give it a 3.5 stars. Located in a strip mall that shares a side patio with Talkin Tacos. (I'll review that on its own) The people here are super nice & helpful. There were about 10 options available. The staff will even let you try first. Sadly the cider option wasn't brewed here so for me that defeated the purpose so I got another light amber style. The area has room but for some reason the bar itself is small. Went on a Saturday late afternoon. Honestly for a more quaint inside space, I could do without small kids around in a brewery. My opinions. Not like they're even sitting outside. One lady holding a baby right at the bar and it's not easy as it is to squeeze in and order so we had to walk over to the side to make it easier. I don't like reaching through people anyways. I mean barely a toddler is walking all around in the bar area. I mean it's not like there's just 1 or 2 either. So, back to the positives, according to the board and their FB page they offer events here and specials that look appealing. They have TVs and game specials also. I agree with previous reviews it's slightly higher in price. $32 for 4 beers.

Consistently excellent service from bar staff. Plenty of seating at picnic table style seating, adirondack chairs, bar, high tops, or outside. Yoga on Sunday mornings with Mel is a great way to start your day.

Met a friend here one night since it was close to where he was staying at the time. It was a really cute place with lots to choose from. There was a large party in one of the back rooms but even with a full room it wasn't disturbing to the patrons out in the main area. I noticed a big screen TV but wasn't paying much attention to it at the time as I was trying to catch up with my friend I hadn't seen for a couple of years. When I first pulled into the parking lot I wasn't so sure about what I was going to find once I walked in but I was surprised and very pleased. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I was able to try a couple of different selections before I found one that I liked. Definitely a place to go back and visit again and again.

Good solid beer selection with a strong preference towards New England IPA beers and sours. Sours are not my bag but IPAs are. Southern Swells has a large bar with a few high tops surrounding it. There are two large rooms capable of hosting large groups. A big screen TV is available for sports games. There was about 10 of their own drafts and a few extra guest taps available. We've visited a few times before so we stopped in for a quick flight. I had the "Karmin in the Garage IPA", "30 Seconds to Marzen Oktoberfest", "A Little Stitious NE Double IPA", and "Sir Pils Pilsner". My favorite was the A Little Stitious.

While I wouldn't call this a go-to "work from a coffee shop all day" sort of spot. After asking around I found out this place has two floors the top floor has a space for daily office rentals. I am here on a Saturday and had no problem finding a place to work from on the first floor.  I asked Katie who was walking by and was super helpful about why it is called Ink Factory Brewing. This place used to be where Void Magazine was written and published hence "Ink Factory".  I was pleasantly surprised. The space is large enough that I found a quiet corner and even managed to snag a power outlet. The staff didn't seem bothered at all by me settling in with my laptop. That said, Ink Factory feels more like a place to hang out try the coffee, grab some food, maybe have a beer rather than a dedicated work spot. The space immediately gives off a relaxed beach vibe white walls, local artwork, surfboards, and beach apparel everywhere. It feels equal parts coffee shop, hangout spot, and beach town brewery. My coffee was spot on. Emily was awesome and helped me build a custom drink: an iced coffee with a shot of espresso, mocha syrup, topped with cold foam. Not only did it taste great, but she made it look so good that people sitting at the bar asked what I ordered. This kind of care and presentation really stood out.  If they're really busy, finding an outlet could be tough. Parking is also a bit limited for such a large space, but that's pretty typical for the beach area. Not the place I'd camp out every weekday, but definitely somewhere I'd come back to.

Since it was a Tuesday morning, it was pretty quiet in the area and we had a private class with Chris. Chris was very thorough, starting with candle and fire safety. He took his time showing my daughter the process, from pouring, mixing, balancing the smells and everything in between. He knew a lot about scents and what goes well together. The shop itself was really nice and tidy. Bonus points on the "secret" room that had some gaming stuff like pool table, mini arcade area and some board games. I say secret because the connecting door is hidden as one of the shelves. He let us take our time in the room that is actually an adjoining room to his shop that has its own entrance/exit door. We could have also bought food from next door and the shop offers drinks. They have different events every month. The other side is a gaming lounge/bar with self-pour taps, which is pretty neat. You can serve yourself beer and wine after getting a card from the front desk. Overall, it was a fun experience and worth checking out if you are looking for something different to do.

Should have been plenty of time as the restaurant was not busy on a Wednesday at 5:30 PM. (Feb 25, 2026) We sat at the bar thinking that would be the fastest service especially with three bartenders working and hardly any customers. However, it took 10 minutes for one of them to look up from all the "very important tasks" they were doing and acknowledge us. When the bartender with the backwards cap and Jaguars shirt finally took our beer order and gave us menus, we made it known we had a concert to go to. He served our beers and said "no problem." We ordered immediately when we got our beers. It was "Wing it Wednesday" so we ordered the special. Five wings and fries. Should have been no problem to get our food in a timely manner. We had 45minutes left to eat. Then we waited some more, and waited and waited. Three bartenders and not even a glance our way. Why? Because they were all too busy chatting with this gal and her "date" especially our server. We might as well have been invisible. We finally got the attention of one of the other bartenders as our server had disappeared. (We were now down to 20 minute eat.) He acted confused as to why we were calling him over. I'm guessing it wasn't his "section" . I also am guessing we were the rude ones for interrupting his conversation with the young woman and her date. He checked on our food after we said we got to eat now! He thought that meant we wanted our food to go. Not sure why. We finally got our food with 10 minutes left to wolf down our meal and pay the bill. The wings and fries were good which is the only reason I'm giving 3 stars. But it's wings and fries. Can get that anywhere. Suffice to say is we will Not be eating at Hoptinger's again. A customer should be treated like a guest and not an inconvenience that cuts into staff's social time. And never make us feel like you're doing us a favor when we patronize your place of work. That's a sure way to a bad review and a loss of a customer.
