We tried this place for dinner for the first time and had a really nice experience. The service was good, and our server David was especially great. He was friendly, attentive, and made excellent recommendations throughout the meal. We started with the sampler and fresh guacamole, which was delicious. David also recommended a margarita that I really enjoyed. The restaurant itself looks beautiful inside--they've done a great job with the decor and the atmosphere is very inviting. For our main dishes, we tried the taco shots, arroz con pollo, and the chicken salad. Everything tasted good. I also ordered the Mexican corn, which was really flavorful. Next time I might order the regular corn since it's a bit easier to eat. The taco shots were very filling--you get four tacos, and I was already full after just two. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely come back to try more items on the menu. They have so many great options! See photos of the food below. Our bill was $250 for everything.

I had this restaurant on my places that I wanted to go and I happen to be in the area one day so I got there right when they were opening. I was the first person in there the young man unlock the door for me. They were very polite very nice. The service was very quick. I ordered the lunch special chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. And a side of the Mexican street corn but off of the cob. The food was good. I feel like the portion of the plate was a little small but I think that was because it was the lunch special I definitely understand that. The side corn dish was very good lots of flavor and the Big which was because it was just a normal appetizer. They started me off with some chips and salsa and then I always ask for a extra spicy sauce that most Mexican restaurants do have that they make on their own you just have to ask. That's why I have two bowls of salsa one of them with extra spicy habanero. I'm a love spicy food I did not get one of the drinks because it was 11:00 AM and I had things to do but I'm definitely going back for one of their drinks they have lots of fun drinks and cups and flavors and I was so tempted to have a few but I'm definitely going back again in the evening and indulge in some of those drinks! I definitely recommend this restaurant. I love how their seats has their name of the restaurant stitched into the seating on the booths. It was nice and quiet when I was there but that was because obviously only a few other group started coming in. But it seems like it could be a very intimate and also a place for groups because there was a big group that came in of like 16 people i'm headed all the pictures a bit drink menu so that if people want to find a place to go for some good food and fun drinks they actually have some very unique options. I'll be back soon!

This was my third visit to Tony's and it did not disappoint at all! We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a party of 10 people. Alessio was our server and he did a wonderful job taking care of us. Food arrived in a timely manner and everyone across the table was enjoying their meals. My husband CLEANED his plate of those nachos, and I took half of mine home to finish later. I really enjoy the atmosphere here. Plenty of space for intimate dinner, a solo visit at the bar, or a large party like we had tonight.

I saw a bunch of posts on social media so went to check it out for myself. First, it was crazy packed so service was slow as expected but we were there 3 hours. The soft serve margaritas were ok but not much alcohol. I do see the hype with their flights, they look fun and you have to do it once but it wasn't anything I would have to go back and try again. The desserts were mostly whipped cream. The fajitas were tasty and a lot of food. Overall, a nice place to try but nothing craveable for me to want to go again and it was really loud but maybe cause it was a Saturday night but our server was really slow and couldn't answer our questions about the menu, she had to get someone to help her and would disappear for really long periods of time.

Kevin was an amazing server. Food was excellent. The restaurant is super nice, and welcoming. 10/10, will definitely be back and bringing my family.

Amazing for large parties and birthdays! My friends and I went here for a birthday celebration and we were a group of 15 people! They can accommodate any large party and provided speedy service! I got chips and salsa with side of queso! Some tacos and a strawberry frozen margarita! Omg it was amazing! They also had a ton of options and flavors! I love frozen margarita and was over the moon when I saw all the different types of flavors! I don't get a chance to take a picture of my food because I forgot!

I went here for one thing and one thing only lol.... The soft serve margaritas! And when I say they deliver.... I mean it. I really enjoyed the flavors strawberry and pineapple. The flight was 16.99 which was deceiving because online they advertised it for 14.99 that would be my only complaint. But the drinks are flavorful, creamy and delicious. (the perfect amount of alcohol) I will definitely be back for another flight and tacos.

Ok the name is deceiving- Tony's is mexican NOT italian. At least once you step inside there's no doubt it's a mexican restaurant. The decor is intense- I love it! Lots of colors and artwork. Floors and tables appear marble, chairs are plush velvet, and ceiling hangings are blown glass. The decor, playings, and drinks are meant for social media. My coworkers and I enjoyed ourselves here one friday night. We split the marg tower - which was just an average house margarita. Next time I'll try a specialty marg. I loved the fresh guac- huge portion, and the bean and cheese eggroll app was great- never had that before. I'll visit again and try more of their menu

Not gonna lie... when I saw the tacos, I immediately thought that I just wasted $17, however they were delicious. The picadillo was a little burned, but still very tasty, and the chicken was moist and also tasty. I do like refried beans, but not these so much. The rice was the same rice as everywhere else. I was told that the tostada was delicious and although it was the same chicken tinga that I had, I was told that it was a little dry. Overall the food was very good. The service was great and the style of the restaurant was bright. It's well lit and the mural was beautiful. I'm knocking a star off due to price, which I feel was excessive.

This place blew us away. I would rate it 6 stars if I could. You walk in this place and the vibes are instantly through the roof. The music is bumping! They did have a wait but we always sit at the bar. María was the best and ONLY bartender working very hard. They have a HUGE drink and food menu. Some things they have on the menu I have never seen or heard of before. We ordered a drink and then gave our food order. Before we even had our first drink gone our food order was out. We were absolutely shocked. All the food we ordered tasted out of this world for quick Mexican food. We had to stay for a few more drinks afterwards because this place was so good. Highly recommend to anyone wanting good mexican food with an even better atmosphere and service. Sit at the bar, María is great!

We wanted to informally celebrating Cinco de Mayo on the weekend and decided to take the drive across town to Tony's Cantina as we felt this was one of the best Mexican restaurants in Jacksonville from previous experience. Parking was easy in the plaza parking lot. We were properly seated and received attention. The menu was quite extensive with many options that I have not seen at other comparable establishments . We ordered the pork, Al Pastor, which was displayed for table sharing . I decided to be a little adventurous and order a combination of an enchilada as well as a chicken stuffed poblano pepper. They have extensive drink menu, but we went with a nonalcoholic piña colada, and some sweet tea which was served in large cups. I was very pleased with the bill that came up under $60 for three people. The restaurant was decorated with a typical Mexican theming with Mexican music in the background. It's definitely worth a visit.

We were promptly greeted and seated by our fabulous server Monica who also immediately brought out warm chips and salsa. The interior is fun, vibrant and always clean & well kept. For lunch today we tried something different and without discussing what we'd order, it was almost the same. I had the Pollo Con Crema with rice and guacamole salad. My dining partner had Enchiladas Con Crema with beans and mashed potatoes. Both the grilled and shredded chicken were deliciously moist and flavorful. The sides were perfect. The desserts are not to be overlooked and I had to get the ultimate chocolate cake to go. This is one of the few restaurants in the area that offers a lunch menu on weekends as well as a wonderful brunch selection. The feel is more upscale than other Mexican restaurants in the area, but prices are very reasonable.

Really great spot. We went there to celebrate birthdays with a family dinner for 12! The first thing you notice is the decor, it's bright, festive and clean! Really remarkably clean! They have these cute chairs set up for photo opportunities and the whole place is just darling, including the bathrooms! The menu is packed, like most Mexican restaurants, but Tony's has some really standouts like the ceviche flight, the esquite, and the celebration churros! They also make birthdays really special, it feels like a production. You hear the music first and then the team comes over to sing! It's a lot of fun and seems to be something the whole restaurant gets into! Highly recommend.

My fried chicken sandwich was well-cooked but a little salty. My husband's mango habanero wings weren't spicy, but he still liked them. Drinks were hit or miss. The spicy margarita had heat but no sweetness (not my favorite), and the espresso martini leaned more bitter than balanced. I also got a chocolate martini that was good. My hubby ordered a Elijah Craig whisky flight for $24. He liked the opportunity to explore different whiskeys. The service was good considering homeboy was tending the bar AND running around being the waiter for every table (he was the only waiter/bartender). He held it down! Bathrooms were clean, automatic points there. Overall, a solid spot for a fun night out.

When we first arrived, the hostess stayed on her phone for quite a while before acknowledging us and simply told us to sit wherever. After being seated, one of the waitresses stopped by only once to ask where the rest of our party was. Once they arrived, we were not served at all during the entire hour we sat at the table. We eventually had to go to the bar just to get drinks, and the bartender was the only friendly and attentive person we encountered the whole night. We also tried to play pool. We got dollars from the bartender and went to a table, but a very intoxicated woman claimed the table was "hers," even though she had not paid and was waiting for someone else to give her money for it. No staff stepped in to manage the situation. After one drink, we decided it was best to leave. Unfortunately, the lack of service and overall atmosphere made this a very poor experience.

Just some information to know it is primarily a bar, they only have about 6 appetizers to order from. The appetizers were good and came out very quickly. The first thing that caught my attention was the amount of times they put food down at our table we did not order after about the 3rd or 4th time of this happening it seemed to be something they do to up the bill in hopes you don't notice. The second thing that thoroughly surprised and bothered me was after ordering another round of drinks, the second the drink was put at our table the waitress came over to check us out. No one had asked for the bill so we were all confused as to why we were being told we needed to close out, especially since we had just ordered more drinks. The waitress tells our party they have another reservation coming and they need our table... We all scramble quickly to leave so there's no issue and once we were outside that's when we realized there was no time limit on our table nor did anyone ask to close out the tab. Thankfully the hula dancers and our own group made the experience great however this place is very clearly a money grab and should not be accepting more reservations than can be handled as it completely ruined the end of our experience.

I'll let the photos from other reviews do the talking, but if you enjoy a good backstory, ask about the history of the space. My mission for the night was simple: end the evening with a great gin cocktail. I started with the Donna Bella from the menu. It was well made, but I thought the bitters were a little too forward for my taste. Next, I asked for an off-menu modification: a Water Lily for Teresa, but made with Roku Gin. It was a strong contender--aromatic, balanced, and beautifully floral. If you're a fan of a French 75, this is a fun cocktail to explore. It's less citrus-forward and leans into a floral profile with a character that's hard to compare to anything else. For the final round, I went with bartender's choice. Mick asked a few questions about my flavor preferences and absolutely nailed it. They crafted a cocktail with Roku gin, snap pea cordial, aloe liqueur, egg white, lemon simple, mint, and citrus that was easily the highlight of the night. Fresh, layered, and memorable, it's a drink that deserves a permanent spot on the menu....Mission accomplished. If you're willing to wander beyond the barbershop business front and you consider yourself a spirit explorer, Volstead is well worth the visit. Go for a round...or two. If you're local, this could easily become your staple spot. For what it is, strong craft cocktail bar option. Bartenders choice is the way to go.

Location is great, and the staff seemed friendly. It's good to have a place in Jacksonville with an environment like this and a place where you can go and listen to jazz/blues. I wish there was more like this, maybe with a little bit of older, jazz, musicians and more people who appreciate jazz as it didn't seem like the audience was 100% jazz lovers, but that doesn't detract too much especially since there's not a lot of places in Jacksonville that do what they're doing here.

My lunch portion of my Yucatán Quesadilla was only $9.99 as it was a Friday and it was just okay. Unfortunately, I did have to cut it myself. The "small" margarita for $12.99 is absolutely gigantic. In fact, every drink I saw come out was of ginormous proportion and seems to be the main draw here. Unfortunately, I was a bit let down by both the salsa, as even though there was a full bar, none of the options were all that tasty. The biggest detractor was honestly the service. Our server was extremely nice on the surface, but every opportunity was used to upsell by every member of the staff. A bigger drink, another appetizer, another drink, handing us their card and asking for a review following paying. I normally never have issue with this but it became overwhelming at a certain point. This restaurant absolutely feels like it has potential, but might suffocate over its mistakes in an extremely crowded Town Center/Southside Market.
