I contacted them a year ago when they had a CrossFit gymnastics course happening and they were quite professional and referred me to their coach./instructor. We reached out again this year specifically to the coach and instructor and received abrupt emails from Tiffany (co-owner) not addressing that there was no longer this course and abruptly recommended classes without explanation as to what they were. I asked for a call and never received one, but sent a follow-up thinking that my 14 year old could try out the teens class. She emailed to deter us and said that it was too advanced and that she needed to go to the pre-teen class (without meeting us or explanation - as far as I'm concerned an almost 15 year old athlete is a teen, not a middle school tween). Her husband Dusty then chimed in and basically said that was incorrect, explained what happened to the gymnastics class, and that our could join the teen class, he tried to get it straightened out (why a co-owner would not know this or know how to respond is beyond me). however when I provided feedback to him about the rude email responses and lack of even receiving a courtesy call upon request, he stopped responding as well. Poor business and communication skills all around, would NOT recommend entertaining this business if that's how they view potential clients - apparently they don't care nor need the business.

From day one, the experience has been unmatched. The trainers are awesome...motivating, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping you push past your limits while still making the workouts so much fun (even when they change the workout to make you do burpees *cough* Jaime). Between the high energy atmosphere and the infectious playlists, it's impossible to not be motivated during your workout. While the format of the classes is consistent, the workouts and muscle focus change every day in a way that keeps things challenging and never boring. The staff is always welcoming, the space is clean and well-maintained, and the vibe makes you actually look forward to working out. It is truly a community of people who support each other. Two years later and I'm still coming back 4-5x a week. That should speak for itself! I highly recommend this studio!

Upon Entrance of the Rumble studio in San Ramon, im immediately greeted name when entering and exiting studio. Its always clean and organized. Inside the fitness studio, benches and floor are always so clean. All the front staff, Kim, Jada, the manager and Owners who would like to remain anonymous, ensure all members are accommodated as best as can be. The Staff and Instructors are always so welcoming to the Rumble members with the most energetic, motivating and positive vibes. The Rumble San Ramon staff and instructors are always so encouraging to the members and are sincere by addressing us with our name. The instructors remind us to stay motivated and acknowledges members efforts on the punching water bag, on the floor at their benches, and celebrating achievements on members "Milestones" and birthdays. Something that i dont get out of my past gym memberships that Rumble provides is that safety is priority, such as using proper form, proper weights, during exercises. The instructors are all so observant ensuring we are executing everything properly. All the instructors put so much effort into coaching the members that they are sweating hard in coaching everyone. (Billy probably sweats the most) EVERYONE HAS their favorites but I cant be tied down to one. I love the variety of what all the instructors bring differently to fitness studio Abhi is so energetic, Zen, and has such a welcoming vibe and still pumps everyone up and motivates us. Billy, the founding trainer, gives everyone amazing boxing style training which makes me feel like a real boxing fighter. The best part is that Billy brings the most comical vibes of entertainment while we are being pushed to our limits and fighting through the exercises for more reps and making fitness more enjoyable with laughs. Jaime, the head trainer, always keeps you on your toes and keeps you in check when you wanna be lazy (i.e. me using 5 pound dumbbells on my lazy day when I always use the 45 pound dumbells). She is always so encouraging to everyone. When you feel like giving up, she will make you feel like you're not alone in the exercises so you feel like you can push yourself even more. Olivia, with professional fighting experience, brings precise fighting techniques with proper form and execution of martial arts and boxing. It feels good to be trained by a pro fighter. Scott puts 1000% in instructing his classes and into all the members to never stop improving themselves with maximizing the time we are training with him. He is that powerful voice you hear during your exercises that give you strength to keep going when you feel like giving up. All the Rumble classes are so upbeat with positive vibes and non-stop safe fitness to energetic music to pump everyone up. It's amazing! After every single Rumble class I leave the studio with all the worries, stress, anxiety and weakness back in the Rumble studio and exit the building with confidence and strength to take on the world and life with courage and my head up. THANKS RUMBLE SAN RAMON. (P.S.-- WIL TOU MARRY ME?)

I have neck/lower back issues as well. I was looking for a nice and quiet gym with good personal trainers who understand my fitness level, health and put me on a fitness routine based on my needs and goals. That's when I found ATP fitness and reached out to the owner Baron. He guided me very well and assigned Nick as my trainer. Nick is a fantastic personal trainer who is not only highly knowledgeable about workout routines but also with diet/ nutrition. He is very kind, patient, thorough and really cares about his clients. He makes fitness enjoyable and creates a positive and motivating workout environment. He focuses on proper form and ensures that I exercise safely and effectively. He tailors the workouts to fit my specific goals and fitness level. He also put me on a diet plan suited to my dietary needs (vegetarian) with the goal to reduce weight, lose body fat and start building muscle mass. He gives constant feedback on my progress and reviews the workout plan frequently to ensure that I am on track. He helped me with my workouts during my travel using training videos and ensured I didn't have a long break. I am seeing drastic improvement in my fitness level and have dropped quite a few sizes! This gym is like a second home to me and I highly recommend it! It has a great atmosphere where it feels welcoming and motivating, suitable for beginners or experienced gym rats alike. It has clean and well-maintained equipment. All the trainers are knowledgeable, helpful and willing to assist. Everyone is friendly and approachable here! I am looking forward to the next 6mos of training with Nick and see where I land!

This review is long overdue. Rob, the trainer at 3Strong, has been training me on-and-off for years…read morenow and he's helped me reach goals that I previously thought were completely out-of-reach. Originally, I was a self-taught weightlifter with dreams of seeing an Arnold-type physique staring back at me in the mirror. I read Arnold's encyclopedia, I frequented all the bodybuilding websites, I read the science-y sounding articles sprinkled across the web... But eventually I realized that it was both foolish and risky to trust the wellbeing of my body to my interpretation of what was mostly bro science. These "simple" movements that weightlifters rely on (i.e. the squat and the deadlift) can lead to serious injuries if done improperly. I felt like I knew a lot, but like the saying goes, you don't know what you don't know. There are a lot of personal trainers in this area, and I wanted to find a trainer whose credentials and experience stood out from the rest. So I did a little reading up on the various personal training certifications out there, and I felt the NSCA CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) seemed to require more out of its members than did the other certification associations. For instance, the NSCA requires its candidates possess a Bachelor's degree to earn the CSCS certification, whereas the NASM-CPT certification only requires a high school diploma. So after looking around for a CSCS trainer, I stumbled on Rob's name in some trainer database. From what I could tell, a CSCS could technically have a degree in Basket Weaving and be allowed to join the organization. I saw that Rob has a Masters in Kinesiology (the study of human body movement), which demonstrated to me that this guy knows a lot more about the human body than does the average Joe. Not only that, but he had been a trainer at that point for years. Between his certifications and his experience, I felt Rob was the best choice on paper. I signed up. Rob works out of a gym with a really interesting mix of equipment. There are the requisite barbells, dumbbells, and squat racks necessary to safely perform the big compound movements (bench press, squat, deadlift), but when you get bored of those tired old exercises, there are kettlebells, gymnastic rings, Bulgarian bags, sandbags, tires... It's pretty hard to be bored! He was able to critique my form and help me execute movements with confidence. Also, he structured a personalized workout program to get me to my goal in a smarter way. And eventually, after sticking with the plan, I got to a point where I was pretty happy with the aesthetics of my body. These days, my goals are less aesthetic and more functional. For instance, I was inspired to run an ultra-marathon awhile ago. Rob helped me figure out a training plan as well as an effective race-day plan that ended up working really well. Also, I find that though I'm able to push myself pretty hard at the gym, Rob motivates me to push far past my typical limits. And to be honest, there is a certain satisfaction to exert myself to that point (and it really helps that Rob always has interesting things to talk about to distract me from the muscle fatigue). If you're looking for a trainer who has both the knowledge and the practical experience, if you're looking for a trainer who will work with you to figure out how to reach your physical goals (whether they be bodybuilding, powerlifting, or sports focused), if you're looking for a trainer who knows a million ways to push you to where you need to be - I couldn't imagine a trainer I'd recommend more highly than Rob.

I started working out at 3Strong Fitness a little over 2 years ago and I LOVE it! I couldn't be…read morehappier with the gym, the coach, the gym community and the workouts. The 3Strong workouts are a combination of strength training and cardio and they produce great results. The cardio portion gives you a total body workout and you get more concentrated workout in the strength portion. The workouts are challenging, constantly changing and Rob pushes you test your limits. Rob really keeps you motivated and helps you reach your fitness goals. The other gym members are very encouraging and supportive, and you never need to be intimidated. 3Strong is a great place for people just starting out, those looking to get back into shape and those who want to push their limits and train hard. It's also great if you are looking to train for an event like a Spartan Race, a Touch Mudder or a half marathon. You will probably also find a fellow gym member to train with and run the race with you. For me, fitness and working out always meant running or doing cardio. I thought that was the only way to burn calories, lose weight and get in shape. I had never lifted weights before and was intimidated by the thought of picking up a barbell. I had never taken a boot camp or group fitness class and I'd never heard of crossfit. I was afraid to start lifting weight because I was scared that I would bulk up, get huge and turn into one of those "meat head" weight lifters you see hanging out around the squat rack in most of your bigger gyms. None of that happened. When I first met Rob, the 3Strong trainer, I was recovering from a broken tibia, a severely torn hamstring and a 30% tear in the meniscus of my right knee. I was in a leg brace from my ankle to my thigh, had only been walking without crutches for about 3 weeks and I weighed 180lbs, about 50lbs more than I did before my injury. I had made it my goal to complete a Tough Mudder in July 2013 and I needed a gym that would help me lose the weight, help me get stronger and get me back doing all of the things I loved, like running, skiing and hiking. Rob and the gym were great. Even though I was just attending the group training classes, Rob sat down with me and got all of the specific details of my injury, my treatment and my rehab up to that point. He was so knowledgeable about the body and what was going on inside my knee, that I actually found him more helpful to listen to than my surgeon or my physical therapist. My surgeon told me that Rob and his workouts are the reason I recovered so well and didn't need surgery to repair my meniscus. Rob recognized my limits and always had another exercise, or exercise variation, ready for me to try and never made me feel like I was holding the rest of the group back or that I was inconveniencing him because I could not do something. And when it came time to race the Tough Mudder, Rob and a lot of other gym members completed the race with me. The bottom line is that I'm lucky to have found 3Strong and I'm in the best shape of my life. The group fitness classes are small, but that means you get a lot of personal attention from Rob and you never feel intimidated or out of place if you don't know a movement or need to modify an exercise. The best part is that the workouts are challenging and you get results. Rob's fitness program will help you get in shape and lose weight and I highly recommend giving it a try.
