BUYER BEWARE! These people defrauded an 81-year old stroke patient. They lied to her about the…read morecharges and then double billed for a chair that was used for three days. A complaint for fraud on the elderly has been filed against this company with the Alabama Attorney General and the FBI. They charged my credit card twice and claimed I had rented a lift chair for one day, and then charged my card again for one month for a total bill of $709.99 . I have turned them over to law enforcement, my lawyer, and also contacted my credit card issuer. After I posted my Yelp review they issed a partial refund of $224.99 which was fraudulently charged on June 5, 2026. So far they have kept $485.00 for two days rental of a lift chair. They are extremely dishonest and unethical and I look forward to seeing the owners of this fraudulent outfit put in jail where they belong. The problem for law enforcement is finding them. They are in hiding and refuse to disclose their location so that an arrest warrant can be issued. If the fraudsters and outright thieves want to have their day in court theY will furnish their whereabouts so that that can face an arrest warrant and be interviewed by the FBI. Meanwhile the pubic is being alerted to their crimes perpetrated against the senior citizen, of which we believe there are many, many more victims of their fraud and deception. In Alabama, crimes against the elderly (individuals aged 60 and older) are strictly prosecuted under the Protecting Alabama's Elders Act. The law covers physical and emotional abuse, criminal neglect, and financial exploitation. Penalties range from misdemeanors to Class A felonies, which can carry penalties of 10 years to life in prison. BUYER BEWARE!

However, there was one incident where the scooter would not start back up and showed four blinking red lights, even though the battery was at 77%. My fiancé and I had to manually move it to a charging area within the park, and we were a bit stumped as to why it stopped working at that time. The only other suggestion I would offer is to make the horn louder, as it was very faint and sometimes hard for others to notice when she needed a clear path. It would also be helpful if the light had a flashing option instead of remaining solid, to better alert people nearby. I also really appreciated how accommodating the hotel was in accepting the scooter delivery from Scootaround and coordinating pickup through the front desk. That level of coordination made our travel experience so much easier and stress-free. Overall, Scootaround provided a much-needed and appreciated service, and we're very grateful for the support it gave my mom during the holidays.

When I called 3 different times to their troubleshooting line, speaking to 3 different agents, they told me I was either too heavy (I weigh 135) or I was going up too many hills, and I'm expected to charge the scooter when I goon each ride. I was notable to use it while standing through lines to rides at all. I told them there are not that many electrical sites within the parks, I was told I should have asked staff, like I was an idiot and never thought of that. I did go to staff and was told there was only one location at each park and they keep them pretty well hidden. Please note, my need to charge the scooter at 3 different parks, 2-3x at each, I never came across another scooter getting charged. Even the key says to charge overnight for a full days use. This was a terrible experience, please don't put yourself through it.
