We've had this company come out on and off over the last 9 years that we've lived in Gilbert.  I…read moreremember one particular year we paid for the annual service and they came back several times to solve one particular issue in the house.  The technician was very tenacious about solving the problem (the repeat visits were all free during that year) so I always respected the company for that and felt they were very honest.  I don't mind paying for quality work. We once even had a very expensive treatment that I want to say cost $1000 or or so for a trench around the house.   But come this recent issue we've had I just feel I'm being hit with the "caught living in Gilbert tax."  Just because I live in Gilbert doesn't mean I'm a CEO and loaded.  I'm well below the median and just can't afford this company any more.  They didn't seem to care about loyalty on our part coming to them year after year. I don't like that they aren't open on weekends so guess what?  Someone is taking time off work (burning vacation time, yay!) to meet with the tech.  The tech came out looked at the problem spot we wanted treated and offered $350 with no warranty just to treat one spot.  Didn't do anywhere near the inspection I expected (and another company had just provided that we didn't know from Adam). I can go to Bug and Weed Mart and buy what I need for a fraction of that cost and have no warranty doing the work myself.  It's not hard to dig or drill a hole. We called another company and their quote to treat the ENTIRE property WITH A WARRANTY was only $150 more.  Guess what we did next?  We went with the new company. If money is no object and you're aren't concerned with receiving a complete inspection when they come out then go with this company.  If you want to shop around there are other equally good (or better) companies with a much more competitive price.

Yesterday, I messaged Bug Science and got a reply from Adam in minutes. Within the hour of messaging through Yelp I was put on the schedule for a free inspection and today (2/13/24) Jess came in with a flashlight and all the knowledge. I am grateful for the inspection and solid customer service. I was told the poop looks old. We didn't have a serious problem, but did occasionally have a nasty little invader find his way inside. They are no longer. I will say that ADPC is a bit more expensive than other companies we have used, but you get what you pay for in this part of the country. Clem is highly professional. He is on time, he is careful. He will NOT spray anything that might contact your pets or children. You cannot ask for better service. If you live in the Southeast Valley, this is your pest control service.

Anyway, Mike is an ok guy but his services were just so-so. I told him a couple of times that we still had bugs coming into my son's bathroom after treatments and he'd come out and spray again but the bugs continued. I also recently noticed that we had a ton of bugs in the dirt next to our garage - and that was just two weeks after his last treatment. Another thing I didn't like was that he would actually charge me for my bi-monthly treatment BEFORE he even called me to schedule it. That was pretty much the last straw. One of the first things I did when I left the company was call and cancel our service with Pest Experts. Our new service is just 2 dollars more per treatment but we're seeing a lot fewer bugs!

Beyond being "nice," their service is absolutely awful. We have requested via phone call, IM and email that they provide us 24-hour notification before they show up, but they still contact us the night before a morning appointment they set. When we try to reschedule, they either a) don't answer (typically), show up, and skip interior treatment; or b) (rarely) agree to a rescheduled appointment that they don't show up for. Likewise, we've requested countless times that they list my wife as the primary point of contact, but they refuse to act upon this. If you want poor customer service and lazy responses, this is a great company. If you want a professional exterminator, I recommend you look elsewhere.
