I first found them when my home office remodel exposed the existence of termites and David knew exactly how to help. Since that first visit, I call for David twice a year to help me keep the ants and fleas away from the garden and perimeter of my property entire property. When we bought our house in 2013 it had termites and we hired Stuart's to treat them and they've come to spray every quarter since. They are extremely professional and do an amazing job! We're currently in the process of selling our house. The buyer had it checked for termites by another company and they said there are active termites and the house needs to be tarped and fumigated, which would have been extremely expensive and delayed the sale. Knowing that was unlikely since we've had consistent service, I called Stuart's and spoke with James, the owner of the company. He personally came out to look at the report left by the other company and inspect the house. He was able to show us and the buyer that it was a complete fabrication and nothing but an attempt to steal money by the other company. The buyer pulled the request for us to treat the home for termites and it saved us thousands of dollars that would have been completely unnecessary!! I had a follow-up to my quarterly service done in my kitchen because i saw a roach (not small)- the service was done on Monday late afternoon - the chemical smell in my house is so strong, a day and a half later, i am going to go to a hotel or sleep on my dad's sofa tonight. the pungent chemical smell is almost stronger now. i have a cat and have to leave him there. I called Stuart's and they said basically that the chemical "should not do that" and after i got super upset, refunded my $81 quarterly service fee. they should come back and smell this house. I slept there 2 nights and put a towel under my bedroom door- opened windows and left AC on (can't wait for that bill)- the smell is in my upholstery, my clothes everywhere and I have headaches and a cough this morning. Thank you Stuart - why don't you come stay at my place tonight? after almost 10 years of using your services in a multitude of houses (rental, home, dad's)- you've lost my business to your lack of giving a hoot. not even a bit apologetic - simply- it shouldn't cause that odor, we don't control the mix and there's nothing we can do. thanks for the $81 for the inconvenience of having to work away from my house, sleep away from my house, hire someone to go feed my elderly cat 2 times a day and likely send to cleaners many of my hanging clothes - read more

Extremely disappointed with Stuart's Pest Control service for fleas. Was told at outset that flea treatment should be effective for at least a month. She said if problem persisted that they would re-treat and to give it a little time. I did not watch the service person because you expect them to be professional. My husband, however watched briefly and said he was not impressed. I told my husband we will see what transpires and, if need be, request they they send someone different next time if poor application does not yield effective outcome which is regrettably and unfortunately what happened to us. Needless to say, lesson learned--get it in writing don't trust any business at their word. Expected much better service. Have had problems with fleas for past week. Called them today (Two wks after initial treatment) to let them know that infestation was not resolved. They said they would come back for another fee (almost as much) Ridiculous!! Would NEVER use them again nor can we recommend this pest control service to anyone else. [Owner responded to our complaint: that they charge for every treatment]. That is not what office staffer said initially when we gave them our business. Office staff needs to be better trained in communicating effectively their business practice. I used Stuart's for over 20 years and the fees have risen to above acceptable pricing but that is not why I am submitting this review. After being a client that long, we did not schedule a visit timely due to personal circumstances. When I realized we were behind and called to tell them we had been out out town helping my daughter with a new baby, they basically said "too bad" and didn't care how long I had been a client and were charging me double fee to come out and "restart" our service. Used Stuart's in both of our last houses for about 20 years. Never had any issues they couldn't handle. However when my husband and I were both traveling on business for several months and we missed a service. They demanded an astronomical reinstatement fee. I give them 3 stars because of their customer service, A+ Customer Service....BUT.... We did have a contract with Orkin and when it came time to renew my cousin talked us into trying Stuart's instead. The first visit we had seemed ok, the technician is totally awesome, super, super guy and after he left we really didn't see any bugs, roaches and spiders is what we spray for) we thought they were great until...a few weeks go by and I start finding spiders everywhere, and I noticed that I didn't find any dead roaches. Anytime Orkin sprayed we would find dead roaches all around the house (in and outside). So about a month later we start seeing teeny brown ants around the coffee pot, so I called Stuarts. Same technician came by just as pleasant as ever and did the exact same ant treatment the previous reviewer explained but it didn't work at all. We even let the 1000 ants walk all over our counters for 2 days so they could eat and bring back as much deadly bait as possible and it never worked. The flow of teeny tiny brown ants never ceased and with this second treatment the roaches didn't die like they always did with Orkin. And my final straw was our garage... I had Stuart's spray it extra heavy because where we feed our dogs is crazy infested with roaches at night, I know because one night I opened the garage side door and flipped the light on and had to take cover from all the 100 roaches running every which way!! Well a few days after our treatment I went outside after dark again and OMG there they were.... all over the place and as alive as ever!! So.....I just called Orkin back to set up a contract. I know contracts aren't everyone's favorites but at least it keeps all our bugs away from our home and I don't have to remember to call every time, they come out right when I need them!! and they're technicians are actually Super nice too!!! Stuarts was really nice they just didn't quite have the pesticides we need. And Orkin is cheaper if you go on contract. Stuarts was 90.00 a visit and Orkin is 75.00 And.....with Orkin I never see live bugs of any kind so that's my final answer.. =) read more

We found this company on Angie's List, where they have an excellent overall rating of "A" with over 140 reviews, and have received the Super Service Award for 2010, 2011, and 2012. We were having an issue with tons of small brown ants (sugar ants?) coming in through little cracks in our window sills and the floor trim along the wall. Each time they found a new entrance we would spray and clean, but then they would just show up again a week or two later and spread out again. We finally had enough and had this company come in to do an initial pest service. For our 2000 sq. ft townhouse it was $90 for them to spray the interior and exterior against ants, roaches, and silverfish (coverage is guaranteed for 3 months). Our technician also used some special long-acting baits to take care of the ants- he made sure the ants were taking the bait and tried two different kinds to see which they responded to better before using it over the areas where they have been showing up. He also spent an extensive time spraying the exterior yard, house perimeter, and even the siding on the house that corresponded to the walls where the ants have been coming through (he said they likely came from outside to start with but are now probably living in the walls, so by spraying outside and baiting inside, they should be taken care of). It's been over a week and blessedly no more ants have been seen! However we did find a dead roach in the guest bathroom, so it looks like that spray is doing its job! We will likely continue to get quarterly service from this company (cost less than the initial service, about $75 I think). He was on-time, thorough, and explained everything he was doing, plus the work is guaranteed for 3 months! Worth it. read more

Great pest control company highly recommend Doug if you can get him. He is extremely thorough and careful when spraying on my wood floors. He fosters Pug rescues and he has funny stories. I always find dead roaches outside after they spray which is the only way I want to see a roach!! Stuart's has been servicing my home since 1974. That's about as good as a recommendation can be! Their servicemen are very competent, courteous and always on time. In this 40-year span, there have only been three different technicians who have come to my home. I think this says something about the company, too.
