Most spots around town cater to the football crowd and serve typical bar food, but this place offered fresh, veggie-heavy options which was a pleasant surprise. While the Spinach Artichoke Dip was a bit bland, the rest of the items we tried (Brussel Sprouts, Steak Panini, Skillet Baked Spaghetti, Ahi Tuna, Greek Salad) were tasty. We used to be able to bike or walk the Fox River Trail to Studio 1212 from our downtown Green Bay appt. Now we live in North Phoenix (Cave Creek, AZ) we have to get our fix of Studio 1212 in during our summers here. ((This is our 2nd visit in 2 weeks!!)) It's a very short drive from our dorm at UWGB! First the location and ambiance is great! Sat on the Patio outside. Patio is small but you have a nice view of the water and it set up nice for an enjoyable experience! Dinner started with a Grey Goose cosmo martini made to perfection - with 2 limes! From there is went down hill! There were no utensils given, water was not filled in a timely manner and food took a while to arrive; and when it did it was COLD! Cold like it had been sitting for a while. French fries were not edible, cold, pasty and mushy, and the burger bun was soggy. Other pasta dish with steak was cold as well! Was looking forward to a nice dinner but was really disappointed. Eh, not my vibe. Tried this place on a cool Saturday evening. We did not have a reservation so we had to sit at the bar. No problem. First thing I didn't like- the lack of lighting in the parking lot. It is DARK back there. Secondly - I don't always bring my cell phone with me and I hate having them at dinner. Dinner is a time to talk, not sit on your phone. As we sat down at the bar, there was a QR code which had to be scanned to see the menu. Had I not brought my phone, then what? Order a water and leave? Thirdly - I ordered a drink and it arrived with a paper straw. Gross. I don't enjoy tasting paper with every sip. We had beer cheese soup and Brussels sprouts. Both lacked seasoning and flavor. Food came out hot, everyone was very nice and the place was nice and warm on a chilly night but we will be dining elsewhere. read more

My friend and I stopped at Studio 1212 and loved the spot. It feels like a relatively new place, and pretty similar to the Bottle Room. The location can't be beat, right on the water with great views. The servers were very nice, we had two servers for awhile until they realized they ere both assigned to our table- which lead to good service! They said when we got there it was busy and food would be slow. They were right- it was! We appreciated the warning though. We shared the shrimp tacos and Brussels sprouts. The shrimp tacos were good, but the shells felt stale. The Brussels sprouts were also good but nothing spectacular (relative to other popular restaurants). I really wanted to give this place 5 stars because we will definitely be back but there were a few hiccups in our experience. Number one, music was way too loud. Place was not crowded at all and we were projecting to be understood and with the mask on we couldn't hear Kate our server at all, I would imagine she was having the same struggle to understand us as well. Number two, the fries were like limp over sides soggy hash browns. Suuuupppeeerrr disappointing, but I liked the demi glaze very much. Number three, the types of tortillas on the two sets of tacos at our table were switched. Tried this place for the first time this evening. What an amazing place. For drinks I had an apple bourbon old-fashioned, which was to die for. Appetizer we had the balsamic fries, which was amazing. The other downside is there is nothing soft to absorb sound so I wouldn't recommend coming during peak hours for an intimate conversation. The drinks were good ($8-9) wine and craft beer were fairly standard options. We had two appetizers, the Brussel sprouts were good but the fries were not crispy. Our group ordered entrees, sandwiches and small plates. The overall review was good. My gyro sliders were tasty but there wasn't much meat (4 sliders without sides were $14). First off the service and view outside is awesome right on the river. The blueberry vodka soda was the best I've ever had with fresh muddled blueberries. Wife had the cucumber martini and liked that too. The tenderloin and penne was awesome and had a balsamic glaze on the side give it the perfect zing. The dish also came with a side salad, which we were happily surprised with. We split it and were full. I love it! Been on my bookmark list for a while and finally stopped in Friday night for some wine and an extraordinary cheese plate. The cheese plate is huge and for the two of us it really filled us up (could easily feed 4-6 people as an app). I love the addition of the grapes to cut through all that fat from the delightful cheese. The music in this place was totally my jam and service was spot on. Bathrooms nice and clean and easy to find right on the water. Patio would be awesome in the summer I think. I will stop in to try it out. read more

Still loving this place!!! My new favorite spot on the river by FAR. Prices are reasonable, a small menu but EVERYTHING I've tried has been amazing! The gyro sliders are a must, ahi tuna comes with an awesome large portion to share as well. The thing that keeps me coming back every week or just to "drop by" are the amazingly fresh cocktails and wine/beer selection. The raspberry mojito is a must for summer time! My wife and I stopped in in a whim today for lunch while looking for something new, and we could not have been happier! The location (on the river) is beautiful, the decor (and music) is upbeat and inviting, while the service was attentive and very friendly. The menu is small, and focused on sandwiches and pizza, with one of the best drink menus in the area. We had the house (spicy) bloody mary, and angry margarita (spicy); two spectacular drinks that were as lovely to look at as drink and well priced at $8 a pop. After having these, I want to try more off their drink menu. In addition to all of the craft cocktails, they had a nice selection of craft bottles, and tap, beers. We started with the homemade hummus and veggies, which was very good with nice, cold, and crunchy veggies. My wife had the Chicago dog with fries, which as very well done with extremely yummy fries. My gyro sliders were great - the lamb was a perfect flavor and will bring me back! My only suggestion would be to go from 4 sliders to 2 and double up on that awesome gyro meat. Stay away from Wine Wednesday if you don't like it crowded & loud. I agree with another review that talked about how some carpet or sound dampening would go a long way in here. It was so noisy inside we went outside to escape. Also they only have high-top tables inside so if you can't climb up there, or prefer not to, you may have to eat outside. (I have bad knees & I'm short so I hate bar height tables.) The staff was super friendly & accomodating. I would say this would be my new favorite restaurant in GB if it weren't so noisy inside & they had regular tables. read more
