From the moment we sat down for appetizers, she brought such a fun, welcoming energy to the evening. Sara, a Louisiana native, has that natural Southern charm -- engaging and full of personality. Her smile is contagious, and she didn't just serve drinks -- she genuinely interacted with us, joked along with our group, and made us feel like we were the only people at the bar. She was attentive without hovering, quick with recommendations (the drink she recommended was so good). She clearly loves what she does. You can tell when a bartender is just doing a job versus creating an experience -- Sara absolutely creates the experience. She helped set the tone for our whole night, and honestly, she was one of the highlights of our double date. Highly underwhelmed by the food at this steakhouse. Ordered a petite filet medium rare and it came well done. Other items have to be ordered a la carte. So ordered the asparagus as a side. The meal was okay at best, nothing impressive for the price. I expected more. I could make a better meal at home. We also tried dessert and the tiramisu was basically a raspberry and white chocolate drenched cake. I will say that the service was decent and they have a nice outdoor patio with a fire pit. Wissota Chophouse is a miss for us. We love steak, steakhouses, chophouses, upscale dining, even supper clubs...but the Wissota Chophouse is not worth your money or a visit. We've stayed at Cobblestone properties across the Midwest and love the hotels and thought it was about time we tried the Wissota Chophouse. Our first clue should have been that this was a Green Bay Packers Home Game Weekend and while there were lots of people at the hotel, no one was at the restaurant. We had a drink at the bar and then proceeded to the dining room and we were the only table in the whole place. We started with drinks and the Bavarian Pretzel - which is huge and is presented well, but it wasn't full of flavor. We shared an order of crab cakes, which honestly were the highlight of the night. It was a super small portion, but good. The steaks are limited - the only Filet on the menu was a 5 oz Filet - which I ordered. It was not memorable. I ordered the Jumbo Prawns to complement my steak...they were chewy. We shared brussel sprouts, truffle mac and cheese and mashed potatoes with the rest of our party. At the end of the night, we enjoyed our time but not the food. Wissota Chophouse is over priced and not worth a second thought. With all of the choices of delicious steaks in the Green Bay area - this is not one I would ever visit again. read more

Food too way too long to be served. The espresso martini was watered down, no flavor and they made another one and it was the same.

The ambiance and service were excellent. The food value to price is where this fine dining restaurant fails. We ordered the $70. Wagyu beef filet. Without exaggeration a quarter of the tiny filet was gristle and inedible. The scallop dinner was much better but 5 scallops for $40. without a potato or vegetable was not a good value. We also ordered the sea bass which was delicious but the portion size was the tiniest I've ever been served. Again this tiny portion was $40. The sharable brussel sprouts and bacon mac and cheese were good but not worth the price at all. Two glasses of red wine, again a minimal 5 oz pour. Even giving this restaurant the benefit of the doubt the dinner was not worth the almost $300. price tag We simply cannot justify the price of dinner at Wissota. read more

Wissota is where you go when Chop Republic is booked! First, it does have a nice visual appeal. Second, apparently, they can't afford ice for their water, because they spent their money on a fancy pitcher. I am not a big fan of lukewarm water. Everything is à La Carte, so it is going to cost way more than normal. The bread service was sad, there were two of us, and they brought three slices (like bagget size) of bread on a wooden cutting board with a 2"x2" slice of butter. So you get to fight over the last piece of bread? You do not get a salad or soup with your meal (that is an extra $12!), like at Chop Republic. I ordered my steak medium, but it came overcooked, so I sent it back. In the end, for two steaks, two drinks, and an appetizer, our order came to $180.00. read more

My husband and I are from stevens point and dined at that location often. When we decided to try this location we were so happy that everything was just as good. The service and food was amazing!! Our steaks were cooked to perfection! The sides for two, that you order separately, were wonderful! I would come in just for those, we had the mushroom risotto and the grilled asparagus. We had the raspberry tiramisu for dessert and it was to die for! The happy hour they offer is also great deal too, 1/2 priced drinks. Customers Beware: Extremely disappointed with the outcome of the evening and the way this business is operated. My wife and I were given a gift card for Wissota by a client and choose to go out for the evening. At the end of the evening, we were met with the head of house after our server was having issues with our gift card not working. She came back stating the gift card is not valid to be used at this location. Puzzled by this as it is a Wissota Chophouse branded gift card, we presented the receipt with the gift card showing the amount on the card. We were then informed as the gift card was purchased at a different Wissota location, they would not be able to honor it at all. Nothing was done at all to try and rectify or correct the issue. There is not a single place on the gift card, the receipt or anywhere in the verbiage stating only valid at the purchased location. As there are multiple Wissota locations in the area, how is any customer supposed know this? This is an absolute poor way to run and operate a business/franchise. Now I am sitting with an empty pocket, a gift card for a business I can not recommend, will not recommend, and will never attend again. read more

Went tonight for dinner. Cozy place nice decor friendly staff. Menu had many nice choices. I had the Ribeye. I ordered the add on of crusted Blue cheese butter but it came smothering the whole steak. Would of been nice to have it on the side. Ordered Brussel sprouts and potatoes for the side for two was delicious. Ordered steak med came out a little rare for me sent it back cake back perfect. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. We stayed at the hotel and decided to eat in expecting usual hotel fare. The food and service were anything but usual. We were immediately greeted and shown to a table. We ordered drinks which were promptly served. After ordering our entrees we were served a proper portion of warm, artisan bread from a local bakery, served with butter and pinches of black and pink salt which was delightful. But the food! We each had a filet, medium rare. Perfectly cooked! We chose a side of Béarnaise(!), scallops and prawns, again, perfectly cooked and served. Then there was the truffle fries. Out of this world! This was our first time visiting Wissota in De Pere. The steakhouse is relatively small but has a warm, inviting decor. We had the charcuterie appetizer which was delicious and had a good variety of meats, cheeses and fruit/nuts. My husband and I were both in the mood for a burger. It was cooked well and had a lot of flavor. Our server was good. The only setback we're our drinks. We love a good craft cocktail when we have a date night. Although they do have a few specialty cocktails on the menu, it took a long (LONG) time to get our drinks. I'm quite certain that our server came back to apologize for the delay, explaining that the bartender was making a lot of drink orders, at least 3-4 times. My comments for management is that if you have a dining room, however small, in addition to a bar that seats at least 8 at the bar along with multiple tables that seat at least 4, have 2 bartenders. Someone ordering full meals and appetizers in the dining room should not be left waiting for their accompanying drinks as they eat while bar orders are also being filled that are drinks only. The bartender was definitely busy and it was still early in the evening, start of dinner service. The drinks were underwhelming and I wondered if it had something to do with how busy the bar was or if it's just a drink miss. Still, would definitely go back for the food. read more
