I made a last min appointment for the same day. Luckily they had a spot open. They're very nice about last min services and try and work with you. Vivianne was my hairdresser. I never ever cut my hair, so I was sorta nervous and she made me feel so comfortable. She was always checking I was doing ok. Very personable. Raul is THE best! I have always been very picky with my hair and who's styling it. He has been mine and my mom's hairstylist for 2 years now. He has many clients, so be sure to book in advance. RAUL!!! I would give you 6 stars if I could. I really would. In dire need of a haircut, I contacted Studio 212. Raul came in on his day off (perhaps sensing my desperation) and gave me the CUT AND COLOR OF MY LIFE. He sat with me for a good amount of time, assessing the situation and telling me what I needed. Trust me when I say that I went in there knowing he had a huge job ahead of him. After a mere two and a half hours and $155 later (before tip), I had what I can only describe as a transformation. He managed to chop off all my dead ends without taking any serious length off my hair. The color? Is PERFECT. I kid you not, it is the most rich chocolate color with a few highlights. And when I went in....I was blonde...from years upon years of bad highlight jobs upon bad highlight jobs. Not only that, but the friendliness of each individual in Studio 212 was beyond compare. It felt like I was amongst family. They chatted to each other and made real conversations with clients rather than talking about what's the latest in the last issue of People mag. I will be back. They were verrry accommodating and managed to fit me in at a time that worked. Raul cut and colored my hair and he was extremely professional, friendly and did a FANTASTIC JOB. My hair turned out exactly how I wanted. I felt completely at ease, I did not feel rushed, and I will definitely be back. So I'm really late to this review - which should prove how much I mean it! Almost a year ago I found Studio212 on yelp and decided to give it a try. I called and left a message. Never heard back. I called again and left another message. Still didn't hear back. I started to get a little frustrated, called again and spoke with Raul. He took my appointment over the phone for the following week. I showed up the day/time of my appt and the salon was closed! To say I was pissed, was putting it mildly. I called and left a pretty nasty/embarrassing message explaining my frustration. About an hour later I received a phone call from Raul apologizing and explaining the mix up. His apology was incredibly sincere and he was adamant about making the situation up to me. We made an appt for the next day. Raul insisted that the service was free - I insisted it wasn't, we compromised on 50% off. I LOVE MY HAIR and I LOVE RAUL. The man is busy and he's busy because he does great work. I've already recommended a few friends there, they all know the story and they all appreciate how Raul handled the situation. I've been going to Raul for over a year now and have been consistently blown away by his talent with color. If you are blonde (or want to be blonde), Raul is the man you're looking for! He's given me everything from subtle, understated highlights to (more recently) dramatic, "Elle Woods" light blonde. Raul just "gets" it. He's also the type of hairdresser to express his concerns if he doesn't think what you're asking for would be flattering on you. He truly cares that you leave that salon looking your best! ABSOLUTELY WORST SERVICE IVE EVER HAD. Andy, the girl that did my hair was absolutely awful at her job. Honestly, she couldn't even blow dry properly. I asked her to curl my hair and blend it with my extensions but she couldn't even do that. My hair looks messy, ugly, and worst then when I walked in. When I was ready to leave they charged me $75.00 which is a difference rate from what they had told me initially. Ruben, another "hairstylist" claimed it was because I had extensions (which I specified when calling in) therefore it was a different rate. They were confused with their own prices. Ruben and Andy were beyond rude, unprofessional and most importantly absolutely horrible at what they do. They really shouldn't call themselves "hairstylist" DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. You will be beyond disappointed. I have never left a bad review, but the service here was so awful that I had to. Truly one of the worst experiences I've eve had. So I found this salon super close to my house @ decided I wanted a different look for my birthday YAY me right!? Well not really ... So when you want to reserve an appointment with Raul you need to leave a $20 app met fee that goes towards what ever you decide to get ... Great! But in my case the day of my appointing I had this terrible tooth ace I had been struggling with a root canal for a couple of days then... & just my luck I just had the worst pain on the day of my appointment ... So I called in as soon as they opened & let Raul know that I was unable to go on because I was dying from the pain .. (Those that know what a root canal pain feels like... It's awful) anywho he told me there was no issue & just come back another time & I did ... & when I had the chance I did... & after our little discussion on how I wanted my hair I changed my mind on having him work on my hair .. So I asked him for a refund on my $ 20 THAT I OBVIOUSLY WAS NOT GONNA USE with him & can you believe his answer was?! HUNNY I DONT CARE IF YOU WERE THE POLICE (he said this in a very nasty rude attitude IN FRONT OF A COSTUMER ...YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR $20 BACK BECAUSE YOU DID NOT MAKE IT FOR THE APPOINTMENT ...... Excuse me? Umm sorry I couldn't make it because I was in agonizing pain... Honestly my dissatisfaction isn't Because of the money ... It is because I was mistreated as if I wasn't a paying customer..... So I hope my experience will help others think twice before paying for a service you haven't received & please MEET HIM FIRST & be the judge YOURSELF read more

Spoke with Raul who is warm & very professional & knows exactly what to ask me in regards to my issues in the past w/c wasnt so good. He permed my hair today & i was totally speechless of the outcome. Exactly how i wanted it & for the record i have no BURN on the back of my neck (w/c is unsual)... Studio 212 is great! I have been a long time client of Andi's (my entire extended family now go to her!) and she consistently gives me the best cut and color of anyone I have ever gone to.
